Indusind Bank — Urgent Escalation: Unjustified Delay and Non-Cooperation in IndusInd FASTag Account Closure

Hello Team,

I request your immediate intervention in the below matter regarding the closure of my IndusInd Bank FASTag account, which has been pending for over 15 days without resolution.

At the time of purchasing my car, the dealer provided me with an IndusInd Bank FASTag. Since the auto-recharge option was not visible in my account, I contacted IndusInd Bank customer care multiple times and escalated the issue. Unfortunately, despite repeated follow-ups, my concern was neither properly understood nor resolved.

On 3rd January, I formally raised a request for FASTag account closure and submitted all required documents, including Aadhaar copy, Driving License, and a cancelled cheque. After 10 days, the request was rejected with the reason that the cancelled cheque from HDFC Bank did not have my name printed. This justification is unacceptable, as the cheque book was officially issued by the bank and is fully linked to my account.

To avoid further delay, I re-submitted the request using my brother’s cancelled cheque, and in parallel, I applied for a new cheque book with my name printed. Even after another 7 days, there was no update from IndusInd Bank. Upon contacting customer care again, I was informed that the request was rejected due to a name mismatch on the cheque, despite my readiness to submit the newly received cheque book with my name printed.

Subsequently, the bank intentionally blocked or held an error on their portal, preventing me from uploading documents again. Despite multiple calls and emails, the upload link has not been reactivated. Instead of resolving the issue, customer care representatives have behaved unprofessionally and even threatened that my account will not be closed, citing that I raised my voice. Any customer would naturally express frustration after continuously following up for more than two weeks without resolution.

As of today:

My new bank FASTag is already created

Closure of the IndusInd FASTag is pending only due to bank non-cooperation

Emails remain unanswered, and the document upload link is still inactive

This ongoing delay appears deliberate and is causing unnecessary inconvenience. I strongly request immediate assistance to close my IndusInd FASTag account without further delay and confirmation of the same in writing.

Kindly treat this matter as urgent and resolve it at the earliest.
