Intellipaat — Refund Request for the course

I got enrolled in the "Advanced certification in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence offered by IIT Madras and Intellipaat" on 28th May, 2022.

At that time, numerous promises were made by the sales executive about the quality of the course. They told me that the course will be a top notch one and it will be conducted by IIT Professors and Industry Experts. It has been more than two months now. I have attended every session but each week, I get nothing but disappointment. I am not satisfied with the course structure and trainers` knowledge. Classes are not at all organized properly. They just teach basic things which can be easily understood by just looking at the official documentation of the libraries and modules. I have not learned a single new thing in these two months that I didn't already know. Every topic is finished just before reaching an intermediate level. For instance, SQL took three weeks out of which more than half the classes were in theory which is of little use to us. Several of the intermediate concepts where learners suffer most of the time were left untouched. This is the case with every topic they cover. Course content is much inferior compared to free platforms like YouTube. I don`t understand how they can make someone a Data Scientist teaching like this. After 15 hours of SQL classes, more than half of the batch was not able to even insert data into the tables in the hands-on session.

Trainers are often late and excuses like network issue, emergency at trainer`s end and power cut issue are very common to hear each week. Their so called industry experts provide incorrect information in the classes. I have proof of that as well. I have not seen any IIT faculty teaching yet. They are saying that they will come at a later stage in the course but I doubt that because of what I read online.

Much better content is available to watch free of cost on Youtube or I can buy Udemy courses that do not cost more than 500 rupees and are far superior to Intellipaat. I know these things for a fact because I had self-studied 80 percent of the DS in 2020. I joined this course to get some sort of refresher or to learn new advanced things but I am utterly disappointed.

I have paid the complete course fee in advance. When I asked them for a refund, they are just saying that it is not possible due to our policies.
