The selection procedure for NIFT, Fashion Design was totally in confuse state.
The Board displayed in the counseling Hal at Delhi showed most of the seats for top course like FD & AD were almost on the first day of the counseling. Candidates who got rank of 250 were unable to get FD & AD courses. This led of confusion among the candidates & parents who were present in the counseling hall.There was few candidates who had got good ranks in NIFT test but they were not allotted seat as they 12th class results were withheld. For such candidates they should have given time to submit the marks instead of sending them out of the counseling Hall.
As on date many seats in the category of (1) Domicile,(2)NRI, (3)Reserved are still left vacant by the Institute.Details are given below
Now I request the Ministry of HRD to personally intervene and see that the vacant seats are filled.

The counseling for Fashion Design at NIFT for the FY 2010-11 was conducted in the month of June'2011.
Students who short listed and were awaiting for the 12th class results which was withheld were asked to come with their marks card.When they came with marks sheet to New Delhi the member present in the counseling Hall rejected stating it was already late.
Candidates who selected under purely under reserved category are supposed to be allotted the seat.
This is very serious issue which IS BEING ADDRESSED for not allotting seat to and OBC reserved candidate
Further many seats under domicle are left vacant without filling it.
Now I request the HRD ministry to look into the aspect and see that seats are alloted to the deserved candidates.

Selection for for the course Bachelors of Design in the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) for the academic year 2011 was very poor. Good ranker were not considered for Top courses.
This is because they had introduced open quota system wherein candidates with ranks of above 700 got selected top courses Fashion Design leaving the good ranker below 300 to opt for lesser courses.
This is a very serious issue which has to be addressed to the ministry of HRD.

National Institute Of Fashion Technology(NIFT), New Delhi is committed to providing a echo free environment free from harassment and bullying and which supports the right of all the candidates selected for counseling to be treated with respect.
The Institution has seek to ensure that all the candidates selected respect each other and work in harmony to achieve the aims and goals of the organisation.
This year FY 2011 there was a change in counseling & selection procedure for Bachelor of design. Open quota system counseling was introduced and there were a large number of complaints in the counseling cent about irregularities in the allotment of seats to eligible candidates who secured good ranks.

Candidates with rank 1000 & above got seats for Fashion Designing & Auxilary Desigining in top centers of Delhi, Mumbai , Hyderabad & Chennai. Whereas candidates who got good ranks below 350 where given other courses like Leather design, Fashion communication in remote centers like Shilong, Kanagara & Kanur.
Few Candidates who got selected for counseling were not allowed even to talk by the councilors requesting to consider for selection as they were awaiting supplementary results. It is most unfortunate that the councilors did not treat the parents & candidates well at the counseling center. They should have been given a chance for hearing instead of throwing them out of the center. Action should be taken against the councilor for insulting parents & candidates in front of the public.
Candiates in reserved categories who got good ranks could not get deserved course seats.
Now request the NIFT Board to look into the following:-
(1) Why there was change in the selection procedure which allowed candidates with rank above 1000 getting got courses in good centers. This has deprived top rankers in getting good courses and in good centers.
(2) When candidates who were selected for counseling with good ranks but were awaiting supplementary results were not given chance .No candidate should be denied admission to the college or any of its programs
This definitely show that selection procedure was very poor and shaddy.
Please look into the above matter or else we will be forced to file case with RTI

As per my Knowledge No reservation according only domicile candidate
if its not filled by domicile hence must be filled by all

But Nift - New Delhi not allowed it to be filled by general category Hence result is that all
domicile seat in B design vacant more then 30 seat

Its the loss of Nation because about 30 seat are vacant for 4 year (fee income from student Rs approx 400000X30=[protected]

For my sister's professional career development, we had planned to get her admitted for the 2 years course in Fashion Designing at the International Institute of Fashion Technology (IIFT), located at H-12, South Extension, Part I, New Delhi - 110049. Since my sister was keen to take up the course, we had happily complied with the registration procedure and had deposited the fee sought by the institute. However, owing to the ill-health of my sister and the doctor's advice for complete bed rest, we decided to opt out of the course, well before the start of the sessions.
An institution of good repute would consider such cases and settle things promptly. However, the rude and incompetent staff of the institute (I would like to specially name Ms Saloni) have made me visit the institute a number of times on Saturday mornings, in the last 2 months and have not yet provided me a solution. Each time I approach them, they ask me for a fresh set of requirements, to delay the procedure. Even on approaching the institute today (i.e. after a span of almost 3 weeks since I officially filed a complaint against them), I have been given a fresh commitment of 2-3 more days and a fresh set of requirements (i.e. copy of driving license, passport and election ID Card). I wonder why 3 sets of documents are required for verifying a person's identity.
The fee is not a big deal for me and the only reason why I'm chasing the institute is because it would not be "principally" correct for me to forego my hard-earned money for nothing.
The way my case has been dealt with, by IIFT, in the last 2 months, has forced me to believe that the institution is actually a "fraud" and I would not leave any stone unturned to communicate this to the outside world.
Through this complaint, I wish to inform anyone looking out for admission in the courses, offered by the International Institute of Fashion Technology, to re-consider the decision and run a thorough background check about the institute. I would not like anyone else to suffer, the way I have been suffering.
International Institute of Fashion Technology (IIFT) seems to be a fraudulent institution, is what I would like to proclaim, in the end!!!

This is to inform all the aspirants who r looking fashion as a major careerv, plz dnt join iift, south ex or any other centre, the owner mr, ratan deep lal is a big time hungry for money, the whole institute sucks big time, they will not provide any placements, the counsellors are corrupted, & mrs, kajal is also a big time . . . I am not telling lie itz a big time fraud, only one computer is available for 30 kids, & faculty also sucks, this instituter is lile a shop plz dn't take admission in that, only one faculty teaches all the subjects, no proper schedule fr classes.

I had sent a courier on 8. 04. 2009 from new delhi to siwn (Bihar) which consisted books by the professional couriers agency. I was told that the courier will reach in 3 - 4 days and it has not yet reached till yet. And when i went to enquire unprofessional and non co - operative behaviour was shown and the guy at the agency has indecent behaviour and also he gave me wrong number.
This on their part is wrong and you should deal with it.

I had sent a courier to district siwan (Bihar) on 8th april 2009 which consisted books from the professional couriers, hks, new delhi. The person responsible said that the courier will reach in 3 - 4 days but it has been 9 days and it has not reached yet. I went to inquire the person and he gave me wrong number and also he did not take correct steps to rectify the situation. He has charged me rs 90 / - for the service but yet the result is not desirale. I once again went today 16. 04. 2009 and i asked him but now this guy is not taking it serious and instead "he said madam jo hota hai kar lo. . . Mai bhi dekhata hun". This on his part was wrong and thus i m sending a complain against the service and the guy too for his unprofessional and rude behaviour. Now please take this seriously and get me a solution to it.
