I received a jet airways flight cancellation notification of 9w 0628 ccu bom 15 mar 2019 21:10 00:25 on monday 4 march ’19 @18:06 via an e-mail with a revised flight details while in mumbai.

On that e mail i was advised to contact jet airways on [protected] (India only) to discuss that flight cancellation if i wished. I saw your message on 5 march as i did not have internet access on 4 march.

Accordingly, i rang your help line but had to give up trying after so many attempts and went to enquire directly to the airport jet airways help desk. They advised us to try a different number which was [protected] as they were not able to help. According to them, our two returned flights kolkata to mumbai and mumbai to heathrow were already cancelled as we missed our flight, 9w 484 bom to ccu on tue, mar 05.

We missed that flight for a valid reason which was beyond our control. But the news of cancellation of all return flights without informing us quite surprised us and we kept ringing the new helpline telephone number provided by your airport team.

This also proved hopeless as our wait lasted for at least 45 minutes each time without a response. This was most unhelpful in our travelling history as no one was available to receive the calls.

We further contacted our travel agent. The person i spoke to said that he could not issue any fresh ticket, if it was a cancellation, without talking to jet airways and had to send an e mail to you for advice. He promised to inform me as soon as he received your response. So far, we have not received any message about cancellation / reschedule of flights neither from your office or from my travel agent.

But to our utter surprise, me and my wife mrs kuntala palit have received text messages today regarding cancellation of our 15 march flight from kolkata to mumbai for technical reason.

It shows that the airline had our contact telephone numbers but did not contact us when we missed our flight on 5 march. Also, we still don't know whether our flights on 15th & 16th march have been cancelled as we have no official confirmation from you.

Your airport counter staff again and again directed us to the help line although we expressed our dissatisfaction about the service and few other co-passengers also expressed the same view about your telephone support and customer care.

It seemed that jet airways has knowingly created this confusion to deprive the customers. The ground staff was asking us to talk to the help line team or to our travel agent; but the travel agent could not move an inch without talking to jet airways. You took your commission from the agent but shifted your responsibility to the agent even though your staff could see the distress of your customer and was not prepared to listen.

Due to this terrible confusion and out of sheer frustration, we decided not to go to kolkata buying new tickets because we were not sure whether jet airways would bring us back to lhr on our current tickets. So, we bought tickets from another airline and returned to uk. This incidence has certainly ruined our holiday with stress and financial loss.

In the above circumstances we would expect you to cancel our retuned flights to lhr and compensate us adequately.

    My name is Akbar latheef I’m 18 years old boy with full of dreams and hopes.im looking for part time so I checked quick app and I saw a ticketing executive job offer in cochin International Airport in kerala so I applied for it.on next day a women called me and said that you are selected for ticketing executive job in cochin International Airport and said to send my details so I send the details like Aadhar card passport size photo and full size photo to them next a person called rahul hr of mumbai jet airways head office and he said that there will be 3rounds of interview 1st online test at www.indiabix.com second is telephonic interview and third is direct interview they said to take reference id and for that i had to pay 2050 rs and I paid it then they said for documents verification I had to pay rs 6250 is this frauds or true

      I booked a return flight on jet airways from delhi to chandigarh with pnr nlbsff, and following details

      Outgoing... At 0920 on 14 feb 19
      Return at 1550 on 17 feb 19

      On checking in at the airport, i was told that the flight is overbooked and i cannot travel... I was a solo lady traveler. You can imagine my plight...
      After extended harassment and mental anguish, jet airways staff said they will arrange for me and some others to travel by bus to chandigarh... (I can't see the equivalence really). I was also given a refund of 3000/- but asked to pay 1500/- for the bus, which i paid.

      The bus was to depart at 1000 am. But then delayed to 1100am or later... With no explanation. With no clear plan by the airline, and in desperation to meet my schedule, i had to hire a taxi to
      Chandigarh, at a cost of 6000/-

      Jet airways has put me through extreme mental and physical anguish, besides upsetting my entire schedule and causing financial loss... And mind you, it was because of over-booking and not a technical reason.
      I lodged a complaint with jet airways but their reply is that overbooking is a standard practice and they can't do anything except refund my ticket cost. I am not satisfied with this response. I have faced harassment and should be compensated as per latest guidelines issued by moca.

      You need to apply to the court if you want the compensation.
      The legal assistance of the lawyer will cost you from rs 6000.
      The fair court shall award with the compensation and reasonable expenses from the losses.

        Hello team,

        I have been trying reaching jetairways team since 4 days, as received a message that flight 9w820 scheduled for 16th march'19 has got cancelled due to operational issues. Also, i have observed that there is no alternative shared by the airlines.
        After multiple failures in reaching out jet team, i had to book another flight which costed me more. Hence, i have requested the customer support to provide me the compensation for the same but they dropped off the call in between of the conversation every time.

        Requesting to revert back with a proper resolution.

        To the author Anant Gupta:

        Nobody has a duty to reply to unidentified complaint.

        The complaint regarding the cancellation of the flight has to be submitted in written to the air carrier or to their agent.

        The he complaint has to contain the basic fields:-

        1. Particulars of the address, according to e-ticket, or PNR, or invoice

        2. Particulars of the submitter: full name, address, email, phone, bank account number

        3. Brief description of the events:
        when, where, which services had been ordered according to, for example, PNR or e-ticket or PIR;

        4. Request: the statement of the act from the responder (what do you want in figures)

        5. Signature / name, date, time, place.

        The responding party has 7 days (max 15 days) for the complaint processing, or refusal to process the claim, stating the addressee, reasons, decision, his particulars.

        Such documents are not seen here.

        In addition, the author does not know his all rights, which are acquired.

        If the claim is not processed within 15 days or not full amount is paid the passenger is entitled to claim money from the offender via one of the authorities:-

        1. Department general of civil aviation in the state of residence, if in India,

        2. Customers court (forum) in the state of residence, if in India,

        3. District court (forum) in the state of residence, if in India,

        4. The authority outside India.

        If the passenger does not know the rules and his all rights, incurred from the cancellation of the flight,
        he or she is entitled to hire the lawyer or the legal professional for the agreed fee.

        Such assistance can cost from rupees 6000, for such types of cases,
        with the maximum expected compensation ~ rupees 20000 per 1 flight per head,
        following the 16 March 2019 9w820 flight disruption at Bangalore, India.

          I got a call from a number (Sadhana sharma) and said that my profile has been shortlisted for jet airways. They asked me to send my highest qualification degree certificate, id proof and a photo to their mail [protected]@outlook.com.

          They ask me to take an online assesment test as a 1st round. I wrote the test and after some time again i got a call from the same number and informed that i've qualified the 1st round. They told me to pay rs.2100/- as a registration fee and if i disqualify in further rounds they will refund the money (Including 1st online assesment test).

          I got this mail after paying rs.2100/ — to them

          Later they informed me about the 2nd round as a telephonic round and before that i need to pay rs.6500/- for some security reasons.
          Then i suspect something and said i can not pay the money so please refund the money which i paid as a registration fee and also not intrested to undergo the next rounds. I also asked why i should pay anything to get placed then they (Forward call to some other person-meenakshi) replied they will not refund the money if i drop from the process and they also informed me that my profile will be permanently rejected by all airlines.

          I got a message from the same mail id as..

          In the whole mail, they have just mentioned jet airways name only. They didnt mention any logo of jet airways. So my doubt got strong. I googled the process of jet airways, nowhere in the google they (Jet airways) didnt ask for a single rupee from the candidates.

          Dear indian consumer complaint forum please consider my complaint so that i can get my money back.

          And also dear job seekers please dont get cheated by such frauds

            This is to inform regarding my flight s2327
            Which i flewed in at 3 march 2019. I have left an email to [protected]@jetairways.com regarding my complain, but they didn't reverted me back!
            This is disappointing that my bag was opened without my permission and they took out my valuables from my bag.
            During the check in at mumbai airport they didnt put the tag on my bag also without any reason they stopped my bag and was not recieved at the udaipur airport!
            I cant even reach jet airways customer care, it is always busy!
            I want to request for the cctv footage! And also please reply to my email as soon as possible!

            Regarding damage during 3 March 2019 JetLite flight S2327

            If you have not got the desired amount, kindly note the following.


            1. The complaint has to be submitted in written to the company (travel agent), whom you had paid,

            If the claim is not processed within 30 days or not full amount is paid,
            the passenger is entitled to claim money from the offender via one of the authorities:-

              My flight from ixz to maa on 17th feb 2019 and flight no. 9w-614 and pnr no. Tndrhj which was cancel before 7 days but jet airways didn't inform us and i also have connecting flight from maa so anyhow i have to take flight and in ixz there is not single person of jet airways who are help us. So after that i had to book ticket on spice jet for that i had to pay 19080 which i want refund back.

                My 70years old mom was travelling today 6th march 19 from mum to ktm. While booking i ve booked wheelchair till the aircraft stairs. And as in the e-ticket we didn't see any wheelchair mentioned so on 4th march19 i called the contact centre after waiting for more than 45 min. Where that guy assured me the wheelchair will be given to my mom without any problem. But the fact is she was completely harrassed in the check-in.. She had 2kgs extra which she was forced to remove or pay.. She mentioned that she is not well which is true but no one listened... That is fine.. But why she was not provided wheelchair though i ve done all the formalities. Is this because she was a nepalese citizen and alone.. She asked n requested several times but all the jet airways staffs were very rude and didn't help at all.. Instead a foreigner couple who denied the wheelchair were several times insisted to take wheelchair.. My mother even said i am not strong and i need a wheelchair but they replied we can't help... Isn't is a discrimination?? People talk about helping old people but my sick 70 years old mother faced a lot of racism and partiality by the jet airways staffs.. I am a frequent flyer but you guys have disappointed me to the core. All my trust is shattered... No more jet airways instead u guys need to be actioned for your inappropriate behaviour towards a senior citizen.. I am totally ashamed...

                  We had a flight booked via a travel agency from bangkok to mumbai on march 14th and it was a confirmed ticket with confirmed timings according to which we booked our next flight to my indore from jet airways itself. Then 2 weeks before the journey date, the flight was rescheduled to go via delhi. Because of which now we cant reach of our flight to indore on time. We are getting a reefund of rs0 for the cancellation of tickets as well.
                  So either jet airways must give us tickets from delhi to hometown directly or they must book us on the next flight from mumbai to indore.
                  Very poor sevice by jet airways. Even the email didnt get answered back properly and noone picks up the phone even after half an hour.

                    My flight was cancelled by jet airways from delhi to mumbai on 9th february without prior intimation.
                    After so much hussle, they provided me a flight from pune to delhi. I paid 4000 extra to reach to mumbai including (Taxi services, cab charges.)
                    I am asking for compensation and they are not responding.
                    I have mailed them 6 times and no response till now.

                      1) delhi to indore:
                      Pnr: xmzqcm and terige: if you look at these pnr's you will see i had to continuously call jet airways for 4 days, as they cancelled me 4 times, and i myself had to travel from jaipur.
                      Also to point out, i was informed that eticket is being generated for a direct flight from del to indore at 5:25 am and when i did not get the eticket a day before i called, for which they told me because of system issue they were removed of the ticket and now there are no seats available. We had to do a layover flight for them.

                      2) indore to delhi:
                      Pnr: pqvxxv and hhglyc we were not informed about the cancellation and was not accomodated in any flight that day and got the response system is down. I spend 5hrs at the airport and your staff had no answers. I had to book airindia flights which costed me 15k rupees.

                        Jet airways sent me a message that my flights booked from bangalore-delhi round trip on 22-26 march are cancelled.
                        Since then i'm trying to contact their customer care via call and sending email queries, but they don't respond at all. Their customer care has wait time of 10min always, be it early morning or any time of the day. Even then i wait on hold, but nobody picks up call.
                        It's really frustrating as i want to reschedule my flight for same days, i'm not looking for refund as it's urgent for me to travel that time. This is worst customer support i've seen.

                              Got a message from jet airways stating that my profile is being shortlisted for the airlines and they have given a number and asked me to call them.. So i called the number and spoke to a lady.. She said my profile is shortlisted for jet airways and asked me in which department i wanna work with, i said anything other than the cabin crew so he selected me for air-ticketing.                               I registered in shine.com app. After that i got a call from a company named global service telling me that i have got a chance to work in jet airways company. They offered me money. Firstly for 2200 then 5900 then 13900 then 26500 then finally they are asking for 28900. Why you people are trying to cheat students by providing fake opportunities and trying to ruin our carrier? Please give me my money back.                                 My check-in baggage was damaged during travel from dehradun to pune on 03 feb 2019. (Attached image of baggage)
                                I tried to contact jetairways counter at pune airport but no one was available at that time except one ticketing agent who gave one id to drop email.
                                I sent email to jet airways to check the issue and process refund as applicable. Its almost 4 weeks and i don't see any refund from jetairways
                                Instead they always said, they are checking. Please help to get required amount asap.

                                Baggage detail : check-in baggage - vip purple medium size - cost - 9200/-
                                Flight details : dehradun - delhi (9w 186), delhi - pune (9w 363). Date 03 feb

                                Mail chain also going on with subject "re:'referenceid=011-​960-944' fw: issue with baggage : pnr rpmnmt - aditi sharma" but no update yet.

                                  I have booked tickets from pune to bangalore to and from on 20 and 25march. But ticket gets cancelled by jet airways. First when i called costumer care, they replied and asked me to check for convenient time to reschedule. So after checking convenient time, i am trying to call customer care from last 3 days onwards, but no one is receiving my call to provide proper solution. Please help me as this journey is very urgent.

                                    I am too disappointed with such disgraceful service from an esteemed airline like jet airways. I had planned my travel for my brother's wedding well over a month (01 mar bomngp[protected] pnr: gbgnuh. I was not informed that my flight has been cancelled (I figured it out on my own when my web check in didn't work!). There were only two flights operating to my destination on my requested date. The staff to name precisely delna from the airport counter has been extremely hostile. I was first promised to be put on the 1535 flight to which i complied and was waitlisted and asked to wait till 0245 hrs. Thereafter they informed that i could not procure a seat there and was then given the option of 2155 flight. This was not feasible for me and very unreasonable on your part. The given flight schedule was: 21551120 bomidr & 07000825 idrngp. Now what do i do at the airport during the long transit sitting there while my brother's wedding was taking place simultaneously! I was travelling solo with my family already there. Killing all the possible time that you guys could, i finally returned home disheartened and angry. Now the next task for me was to get my refund of the cancelled flight, the customer service just would not agree and i has to send a friend to the airport counter (I reside 2 hours away and was not possible for me to go back after struggling there only for 4 hrs) to sort this and send a remark to you guys to update the refund. The justification provided to not give me the refund previously was that you were putting me on the 2155 flight that i didn’t want so why the imposing. Now my return for tomorrow (02 mar) is booked on air india which is your supposed partner airline when it comes to adjusting the pax but not when it comes to refunds. Why shall i pay for the cancellation for my return flight when it is you guys who have closed all the doors very cleverly for me to reach ngp! How am i supposed to get on the ai flight when i am not reaching the destination as much as i want to! This is not right on your part.                                     Sine.com p resume dala, text msg aaya, cl kiya or rup kisi demand chalu jo gyi registration 2500 Document Verification 7000 A/C open k 10000 Medical services 5000 and training fees 28000. I payed all amount because mail id is [protected]@jetprivilege.com with heading Jet Airways. Big scandal in India Resolve it...

                                      I have booked online air ticket on 4th february 2019 for delhi to mumbai on 5th february 2019 vide my pnr ftyest & eticket no.[protected].
                                      Till date i have not received the refund amount.

                                      Regularly follow up with jet airways customer care on 18th february 2019 with mr. Vidit he told me refund will received by 12 hrs for rs.8, 252/.

                                      Again i follow up with ms. Ruby on 22nd february 2019, the same answer received.

                                      About a month lapse.

                                      Kindly look into the same and credit the refund amount immediately.
