Jet Airways — non-receipt of discount promised | |||||
1. Company had launched "shop at flipkart 'cooling days sale" for all jet privilege members. As part of the sale, company had advertised 10% instant discount on all credit/debit cards and net banking on flipkart during the sale period. 2. I clicked on the offer and purchased a vu tv costing rs.46, 999 from flipkart on 5th may'2018. Though i made the payment by credit card, i did not get the promised 10% discount amounting to rs.4, 699. 3. I immediately called up flipkart and they said they will check and revert. 4. I also wrote a mail to jet privilege member services saying that i made a purchase of rs.46, 999 on flipkart "cooling days sale" and did not receive the 10% instant discount of rs.4, 699 against card payment with a request to check and revert. 5. On 6th may, jet privilege replied saying that "may we request you to contact the flipkart as they are in the better position to assist you." 6. On 8th may, we wrote a mail to the grievance officer at flipkart with a copy to jet privilege member services forwarding the mail chain and seeking intervention and prompt resolution on grounds of ethics. 7. When there was no response, we again wrote a mail on 12th may'2018 to the grievance officer at flipkart and nodal officer at jet airways stating that "we are yet to receive our discount as advertised. Please note, this is a clear case of misleading and mis selling which is an unfair practice. If not resolved, we will be compelled to resolve this matter to the relevant authorities for justice. We also pasted the screenshot of the 10% instant discount advertised in the offer. 8. On 15th may'2018, flipkart called and responded by mail as follows: "as discussed, the offer 'flipkart cooling days' (Between 3-may-18 to 6-may-18) was applicable only for air conditioners and refrigerators categories and televisions were not included under the offer. Hence, the offer was not applied on your purchase." 9. Jet privilege is completely silent on the offer and flipkart is trying to escape by giving wrong reasons when no such conditions were there in the offer. 10. Strict action must be taken against both the companies and our discount of rs.4, 699 should be recovered and paid to us expeditiously. Was this information helpful? | |||||
