Jet Airways — request for compensation: unpleasant journey with jet airways & poor customer experience

We traveled to paris from chennai on 30 april 2018 on jet airways 9w 0128 for our honeymoon. We had an unpleasant experience during the journey leading to deterioration of our health.

We were allocated seat numbers 22h & 22k in the plane. Unfortunately, the reclining seats were not functioning properly. We made several requests (Over 5 times in a period of 2 hours) to the cabin crew from the beginning of the journey to fix the above-mentioned issue as early as possible. The requests were ignored and we were made to sit in the same seat for about 8 hours (Almost 80 % of our travel time) of our journey and it lead to neck spasm and swollen legs. When it was almost end of the journey it became unbearable due to pain and we made an escalation to the senior crew member to get the recliners fixed. Finally, the issue was addressed, and the recliners were partially resolved by the senior crew member (The senior flight attender took hardly 10 minutes to fix the issue). He also rendered an apology for not addressing the issue at the start of the journey and took a note of our boarding pass to inform to the jet higher authorities for introspection. We made an official complaint to the crew.

But, by the end of the journey, we fell sick (Swollen legs and severe neck spasm) due to seat recliner issue. It was indeed a bad start to our honeymoon. Due to this we had a bad health for rest of the days and we had to prepone our return journey one day earlier with jet airways (Earlier flights 9w 123 (08th may) exchanged tickets to 9w 127 (07th may) which cost an extra charge of rs.16 k. Altogether it was a bad experience. We request you to financially compensate for this journey. I have attached the jet airways tickets for your reference and the boarding pass
