John Players — Refusal to issue Receipt

In response to John Player's text message to us today, i.e., buy 2 get 2 free, we visited the company showroom at Zoo Road, Guwahati, Assam. After selecting the garments and while in the process of making payment, the store manager refused to give us a receipt citing various reasons. Upon insisting that this was an unethical business practice, the manager told us to sue the company, ITC Ltd. This left us with no other option but to abandon the purchase. This sort of practice is illegal and we request you to resolve this issue.
