I take care of sales and marketing functions at a small Kerala based tour operator called tennderGreens Holidays. Back in August 2011, Just Dial contacted us and offered us with some alluring packages to list our company's name in 6 metros - Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Chennai and Bangalore. We were promised with at least about 14 relevant leads (genuine, quality leads) and the total package was worth Rs 1.2 Lakhs. Unlike any professional company, they never gave a written commitment for the number of leads. However, we were gullible to believe the sales person (a person named Balasubramani, who turned out to be one of the biggest frauds I've ever met in life). We signed the deal and got the keywords activated.

However, from day one, we started getting completely non relevant leads (that too around 4 to 5 leads per day) worth pure waste of money, time and energy. When things were not working as expected, I was under pressure within the company to work with Just Dial and try improving the scene. However, Just Dial, by nature didnt have anything to offer and at the end of 2 months trial, they (Mr Balasubramani - the sales person) admitted saying he wouldnt be able to offer the promised no of leads and hence suggested cancelling the contract. However, we still gave another 2 weeks for him to explore any possibilities of improvement. Finally, much to our disgust, we decided to pull-off the contract and requested for the refund.

Mr Balasubramani was the only person with whom we were interacting and he had blocked all other in the company to stop interacting with us. We believed him when he said it will take about a month to get the refund. We waited a month, but much to our surprise, he informed that it's still being worked out and will take another few weeks. Finally, it's a huge sum for a small company like ours and hence didnt want to argue on anything. We waited another one and half months. On 10th December (after 2 and half months of cancelling the contract), we were clueless and was really concerned about the refund. However, as a shocking surprise, from this day, Mr Balasubramani has stopped attending our calls or emails. After hopelessly calling him for more than 10 times day, we decided to reach out to someone higher-up in Just Dial, Chennai. However, sadly none of them seem to be taking any responsibility of the issue and stated,

"Just Dial never refunds the payment"

To them it doesnt matter if they honor the commitments to the customers not, but the payments are never refunded. It was hard to understand the fundamentals of that business sense. How can a company of this kind behave so irresponsibly and unprofessionally? Dont we have a bit of human sense when at least they collect such huge sum of Rs 1.2 Lakhs?

Our financial losses were further magnificent. Thinking we would need extra hands to respond to the huge number of enquiries, we had also hired half a dozen customer support executives, who ended up having no job for almost 2 months and we eventually had to dissolve this team due to lack of business. We are not complaining about all that we did, without knowing that Just Dial as such a scrouplous company. However, we at least need the refund of the payment we did to Just Dial for no services delivered.

Is there any way that anyone of you can help us getting this done? We have a very limited written proofs or email comunications to prove any of the commitments from Just Dial. All we have is the one way from communications from us, as Just Dial persons never written anything back to us. We used to write a mail first, then call Mr Balasubramani to figure out if anything can be done. He seem to have been clever enough not to use emails and leave any proofs behind for the promises given.

Please help if anyone can help us in this regard. Would be sincerely grateful for that. Thanks.

A representative from Just Dial visited our office on 10th Nov 2010. We had agreed to take a one year contract with you for which you had done an immediate Credit Card Transaction of Rs. 8824 & we were told that the details would be up on site within 7-8 working days.

Since then we didn't heard from anyone at Just Dial's end & on 2nd December 2010 we gave them a call & we were informed that nothing has been done on this contract yet & it would take another 10-15 days for the contract to become operational.

Since, there words were different that the initial commitment Our company had asked them to cancel the contract as no action from their side had happen it should not have been a problem. There was no response from their Chandigarh or Delhi office.

Again, on calling them on 10th December 2010, we were told that no cancellation mail was received and the ID given to us was not operational. On checking their site we found out that the list was made.
On repeated cancellation requests the listing was made forcefully.

We want Just dial to cancel the contract & show us the actual not fabricated details of the listing. As for the money is concerned they can charge us prorated for the days the listing was actually up. As per our knowledge listing was not there on 2nd Dec & on 10th Dec after our mail to a specific person the listing was made online despite of our saying no to it.

JUSTDIAL being such a big brandname in the market ,but sorry to say this is not true , JD is a fraud company
There motive is to make money from registering ppl through Reseller
& once they become the member just dial just ignores them

i had a listing with just dial delhgi for one year.

they wrongly charged even after the expiry of the tenure. as this goes directly from one pof my accounts i only came to know after they deducted 4-5 installments. they still say that my balance is due for around 3000 but they will not refund but are ready to give service (pathetic)

My mother Mrs. Vena Buch is a financial consultant (LIC Agent). She was contacted by one of Justdial's executives (Ms. Nandita). Mrs. Veena did not want any services of Justdial however, after discussion Ms. Nandita (executive) managed to convince my mother for a 1 month trial service on payment of Rs. 999 through cheque. The contract note was also given to my mother. Justdial have no authority to debit her account through ECS every month specially when she has not even agreed for it. She had just given a cheque as a trial period offer and never agreed to any further terms. She was never contacted for a renewal after the trial period lapsed.

Since that day, every month an amount of Rs. 999 has been debited from my mothers account till date. We have already approached them to

• Firstly, stop any further debits from my mothers bank account
• Secondly, refund all the money that has been debited from her account without her permission illegally. The contract no where mentions that she has agreed for an ECS payment.

I would also like to mention in particular that the names of clients suggested by Justdial are fake. We called a few clients who simply said that they were not interested in any insurance and on one occasion the party itself said I have been recommended your name for my business of loans. There has never been a positive response from any client recommended by them. They are bent upon fooling people. We have written to them to ensure that there are no further debits from my mother’s account and to give us a written confirmation that they shall not debit her account any more.

We have approached the Bank however, they are unable to stop the payment.

My mother has again received a call from Justdial recommending some name for insurance.

They are building their client base by fraudulent techniques.

After several corresponse, my Mother's accoun has again been debited with an amount off Rs. 999/- on 16th November, 2010. Inspite of several requests/threats, our words are only reaching deaf ears. We request you to take severe action against Justdial for this fraud and refund us all the amount that has been debited from our account alongwith an interest since February, 2010 and compensation for mental trauma.

we have taken services of justdial between August 2009 to July 2010. We have made down payment for 3 months. and rest was under EMI, which was supposed to get terminated at March2010. It was noticed later that they charged us excess debit for 3 months by which they consumed Rs.13800/- extra. after bring to their notice and asked for refund, which they denied with reason it is not company's policy to refund the money back. the same will be settled by extra service, which they continued for 1 months and asked for renewal. after asking what happened about our previous money, they said it was used for extra service which i feel is really pathetic. I want the forum to help me in this case and get my money back.

I was Registered with JustDial 5Years back but due to poor service i did'nt renew the service but this time this JustDial Telemarketing Lady called up and forced me take the service and said the huge change but it still remains the same, she even told if the service is not good & if we are not satisfied then the company will return the money or maybe she will transfer our kind of registration to some other company & return my whole money to me but now she is lifting the call & with no reason just disconnecting the phone & even sometimes she is lifting and saying that particular lady is busy she will tell her to call back and in this case i have called so many people but they did'nt turn up yet and now they wan't to talk about business not the refund i don't know why are they cheating customers with wrong saying & i tell JustDial to refund my amount if they cannot refund from there account give it from the ladies account who said this thing wrongly.

this is to inform u i was working in justdial pvt lmt in under ms pooja sahani sales manager & mr sachin thukral, i archived my monthly target but still i had not received my salary for the month of august 2010 , i want to claim against my company to get my august month salary,

But I get theses leads on my email id regular. due to this we r not able to contact customer on time. please do some urgently basis.thia is a technical or other problem at your side.

JustDial threatens me to stop raising my voice against them!

Mr Shakir Hussain from JustDial called me 10 minutes back and threatened to stop my comments. The crooks have looted me of my hard earned money and now threatening me to stop raising my voice!!!

I have some call recordings of JustDial's representatives which prove they have cheated me and hence I have rights to raise my voice.

Just Dial cleverly bidding on our company name Dhaval Plastics on Google Adwords PPC without notifying us or without informing us. This is bad practise as it takes away our client to their website and then client have a list of plastic companies to choose for too. But in theory if you type dhaval plastics on google search then our own website will pops up top of the searches - so why do we need or required JUST DIAL to take away our company when client search for it?? This is very bad JustDial service and infact they r clever to used other companies too so be warned every1. JUST DIAL STOP THIS or legal case will be file against you. www.dhavalplastics.com

It is surprising that Just Dial has desplayed my Name, my mobile number and Company name and address without my permission.

I trust this is unacceptable and can lead to misuse by using our Mobile numbers.

In times when we maintain caution it is ridiculous that JUST DIAL without a consent puts all details on its site.

This should stop immediately.

i take just dial service long time contact me every time , just dial people give some offer to call for my business more time i reject it, but one guy come my office

he say now best offer for you starting 500 and every month 500 ,he fill the form and take cheqe for amount 999 for two months deposit , just try two months service if happy continue other wise you cancel it but now he putt ecs mode from my bank
without my permission and also he told me unlimited key words for your business
but i edit and send more time but not updated ,

and also the sales person so the inquiry for last 6 months

but all thinks for 100 % fraud

As per discussion with u about not receiving leads. I didn’t understand what you want to explain me in previous mail(you have signed a Supreme Package and will get leads on rotational basis and this is a Tenure contract).
I only know that from 4 days I received only 2 leads and that are only inquiry calls. for checking this I call to just dial 5 times with different numbers and names for require computers service etc. after all calls I didn’t receive a single inquiry from you for that.
I think all you peoples running a fake, not fare and money extortion business from your client. I suffer from 5 days and calling and mail to just dial again and again but nothing happen. please mr shakir stop my services now and my ecs also now.i become so frustrated and disappoint with just dial
(Another issues is every morning I received a call from just dial a person mohit demanding me previous balance advance money 8000/-and say your listing not activated due to this and you will not get leads. but when I talk with you u explain some different stories that nothing happen. Don’t worry ,no need to give money advance. what all this?????????/)

I have observed this multiple times. When i try to contact reliance digital :[protected] it is not connected.

however on one of yellowpages, the contact for rel digital is fraudulently written as the one for just dial:[protected]

Now when i contacted just dial they gave me the same number[protected]. When i tried it after call with just dial it was connected !

Now after a few days i again needed to contact rel dig but the call was not getting through for long.
Then i dialled just dial no and attempted a few rings and disconnected.
I tried back the rel digital no and now it got through.

I observed it multiple times and i think justdial is jamming frequently required numbers to increase the inflow of its calls. This is just my theory, but only this makes sense.

I would request reliance digital and just dial to look into this and correct if it is a mistake.

You can give this a try if required.

I am Prabir Dasgupta and I have been badly CHEATED by JUST DIAL.I am trying to diversify business on CCTV and thought tp On the month of July 2010, one Mr Susan Sarkar [protected] came and offer us for a pack of 23000 of which 2 months he has taken advance and promised us for a lead 114 per month. Till date(more then one month), only some lousy lead has come and that too only 12 in numbers!!!!!!!!!!. These leads are already tapped by other people. Mr Susan Sarkar told us(actually cheated us ) that if you are not satisfied with the service, you can close the service. On the contrary Just Dial is milking us for a ride. AS YOU CANNOT CANCEL ECS THROUGH BANK. Its my honest suggestion, please see the following points
1. DON'T TRUST MARKETING FELLOW, they will give rosy pictures in terms of lead and you'll land up in getting lousy kind and only 10% of that are actually saying in front of you.
2. YOU CANNOT CANCEL ECS, EVEN BANK MANAGER CANNOT CANCEL ECS. If you don't believe my word then please go and check with the Bank Manager.
3 They will show you the contract form. They will not say the inside story that you cannot come out of the contract even if they provide junk lead. You have to carry the LEFT LUGGAGE AND BE AT THE MERCY OF THIS FRAUD COMPANY AS JUST FRAUD.
4. DON'T GET CARRIED WAY WITH THEIR BEAUTIFUL VOICE OF MARKETING FEMALE EXECUTIVE. THEY WILL SAY SOMETHING AND DELIVER OTHER THING.

I am an Insurance advisor with a private Insurer. Just Dial private limited a company who help individuals and business in providing leads approached me. In good faith i had entered into a contract with Just Dial. Deal was to pay a certain fee for the leads to be provided by them for potential insurance buyers.

I was completely mis guided by this company this I relasied after receiving the leads. The leads provided by Just Dial were from the consumers who had already have insurance and they just wanted to know how to pay their renewal premiums, it appeared all these leads are were fake or were manipulated by Just Dial.

Now the real problem is I had paid Just Dial initial fee and rest in ECS of 10 installments upto April 2010. Now my contract period has come to an end, however the ECS is continuing and they are not co operating to stop the ECS issued.

My bankers are also not helping in stopping the ECS as they say that they do not have any control on this.

I have mails from Just Dial informing that they have stopped the ECS not once but twice from their customer service but they continue to deduct. Inspite of me meeting their client service executives in their office at Hyderabad they continue to deduct.

Can soemthing done about this please?

Did not honour contract of Just Dial phone services.
I signed up for their services for Rs 1.5 Lakhs and was promised 1 1/2 years of phone leads and ad in their yellow pages. Services stopped within half a year of contract and they are not replying to my emails and calls to restart service.
And to top it all people call from their sales dept for my business!
When I tell them about the pathetic service and cheating that they have done they disappear for a few weeks then another duffer calls for business.

This company sales and admin dept are crooks. I would advise others to take utmost care of payments given to them because once I made the full payment they disappear.

I run a small promotional staffing service in Delhi. Received a call from Swati, Just Dial (No. [protected]) in January offering me Just Dial's business leads service. She offered me a Platinum position (The top most position in the categories given to me) for Rs 16,000/-

Mr Sahil (No. [protected]) visited my place given me the bill (Which shows 9 categories all understood and approved by me, I still have this bill with me) and collected a cheque of Rs 16000/- from me.

It took around 10 days for my contract to get activated and I started receiving calls. I realized [COLOR="Red"][B]the calls I was receiving were not relevant to my business. I visited their website and found the categories displayed their were different from the categories sold to me[/B][/COLOR]. I immediately informed the customer support to which they suggested me to email them.

These are the replies they have been giving me on all my emails BUT NO ACTION WAS TAKEN EVER!

"With reference to your mail received, and as per our discussion this is to inform you that we have already forwarded your request to telemarketing executive. We cannot do any changes in this contract."[/COLOR]

[COLOR="Red"]Ms swati on her calls (I have recorded the calls) have been accepting that there is NO FAULT OF MINE and this is JUST DIAL's SYSTEM ERROR however to correct the things I have to further pay them Rs 5,000 as the prices have been increased now.[/COLOR] She is asking more money for the categories already sold to me.

They sold me the keywords and [COLOR="Red"]now they are telling me the same keywords are sold to other people because of the system error and if I want the categories back I have to pay Rs 5,000 more!!![/COLOR]

I have tried everything, even visited their office and met customer support but they do not respond at all. Now, I want my money back as Just Dial has not given me even a single rupee business.

Can consumer court help me in this matter? Kindly advice how can I go about this? I have all the emails, their invoice and recorded calls. PLEASE HELP.

Just Dial is FRAUD!!! I can say that [COLOR="Red"][B]Justdial is India's No. ONE FRAUD ENGINE[/B][/COLOR] they make Fool.

Strong action must be taken against Justdial.
