on[protected] i booked for a multi axle volvo B9r for 1000rs from Thrissur to banglaore
.departure time was at 9.30pm but the bus came at 10.30pm .
The bus was an ordinary a/c (a piece of junk) . my co-passengers was from various parts of country they also got annoyed by that bus . i got frustrated by this because that was not the first incident that happened to me.
we altogether asked to the agent for the right bus, but they were acting like they were not responsible for that, even the driver was not even talking.

As we all need to reach the destination by time and the mid-night forced the people with me to travel in that stupid bus.
The seat numbers were provided according to the multi axle volvo in our bus tickets that is computer generated, since the bus has been changed we struggled to get the proper seat numbers. At last i also got the seat number 41... i was enjoying that moment.

The passenger comfort of that old bus was very pathetic- especially the seats. All were struggling to keep their luggage and themselves comfi.
Bus started and in the middle it stopped in Mannuthy to add few more passengers. They were also struggling to find out their seat numbers. few of the north guys started shouting at the agent then the agent ran away. There was no other assistant with the driver . the bus was actually running from Allappy to bangalore with a single driver, he has to drive all the way in the night..(Passenger safety became a ?)

Then by god's sake the bus reached hosur.From there they arranged a Real B9r Volvo all passengers forced to get into it.
i've noticed one thing that old bus was a KL(kerala) registration and the B9r was a KA (karnataka) reg . may be they arranged at the edge of border to get some tax benifit. Am still unaware of their profit harvesting techniques...

All the passengers in that bus were cheated and no one is going to complain about these...

Parcel — Misbehave

After asked about my parcel with Mr.Prasad in vasai branch blazeflash. he gave me a contact number of there andheri branch which is not working.when i tell him that the number is not working give me another number then he says me that I am not your servant.please take a action against him.

I travelled by Kallada travels (Suresh Kallada) from Cochin to Ernakulam on[protected]. I am writing this to tell the horrible experience we had with Kallada during that trip.

> 1. The travel was advertised to be in volvo bus. B7R from Cochin-coimbatore and B9R from Coimbatore-Hyderabad. The B7R was in such bad condition - bus body was loosely hangning in some parts, inside bus water was leaking from under baggage place, the baggage place itself was plastered using cellotape, AC was not working properly, entertainment system was not working, bus was in need of serious repair (we had severe back pain after few hours of travel).
> 2. The B9R which we were supposed to get in from Coimbatore was not available at Cbtr. We were told that it had some engine problem and the bus change would be done 80km from Cbtr bus stop. We came to know of the real problem at that place - adulterated diesel was filled in bus, mechanic had come from volvo and it was said that it would not be possible to repair the bus that day. No information was given on whether an alternate arrangement would be provided or how they are going to handle this situation.
> 3. We had to travel again in the B7R bus not being sure for how long. Then we were told that the bus change would happen during dinner place. That also did not happen.
> 4. Finally the change in bus happened during late night (1:30am) at some isolated place in the highway. The change was with a B9R which was coming to Cbtr from Hyderabad. We all woke up from our sleep, had to take all our luggages from this bus to the new bus. Same case with the people in another bus. Most people in the other bus were confused and had no idea of what was happening, some of them still were in the same B9R bus thinking they will be continuing the trip in the same bus. No Kallada employees were properly communicating what was happening. COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL!

= Is this the way a customer is treated when a customer is paying so much for a comfortable travel?
= Service in same route from another provided provides a better service (same bus from Cochin-Hyd, bus which was serviced properly, bus employess professional & properly dressed, and better customer service) at a lower price.
After the trip, I came to know that this was not a one-off incident and had happened with Kallada before even in Bangalore-Kerala route through friends experiences and reviews in internet.
I have decided never to take Kallada travels for any of my future trips. Thank you.

Kallada is operating bus services as a cover for their nefarious activities. They are one of the biggest liquor barons in Kerala. The buses are used for smuggling illicit liqour and spirit from Karnataka and Tamil Nadu into Kerala. My sincere advise is not to travel in their vehicles even if there is no alternative.

I travelled by Kallada Travells(Suresh Kallada) on 8th Dec 2012. I have booked the ticket from Erode to Pune in front seat(E3). When it reached in Bangalore, they were shifted the bus and said that the seat number will not change. But when I entered in that second bus, they said that my seat no.is L4(In the last row). 3 other persons have the same experience. We argued that the entire journey should be in the same seat no.that we have booked. But they are ready to help us. At last I cancelled the ticket and get a ticket in Neetha Travels in Front seat... I will never travel in Kallada Travells. Its very Bad Service...I suggest you that Plz try to avoid travel l in Kallada Travells...

Chennai to Ernakulam.The bus was late by 1hr and 15 mins. I am done with kallada, never again!

WORST SERVICE from KLLADA TRAVELS
i had travelled from ernakulam to bangalore on 6 June 2014.Journey fare was Rs.1400
Bus started at 6.30pm from vyttilla. went unnecessary to irinjalakuda to the owners place. picked up 2 guys, spent an hour infront of the owners house i guess. driver went inside the house and came out after an hour. Finally reached trissur at 10.30pm
Worse part is bus stopped at hosur at 7.30 am on 7 June 2014 without any reason. Then after probing from travelelrs driver finally disclosed the fact that service is only till hosur as the bus had permit only in kerala tamilnadu. by 9.30 a pathetic pick up cab had reached hosur to pick the travellers.
It was a 14 seater cab and more over people were sitting on their luggages,
Guys please stop using kallad atravels especially during peak season, weekends. they are least bothered of travellers convenience. they just want money.

Mr. Suresh Kallada you might be rich but not far off from a disaster.

My mother was traveling from Guruvayoor to Bangalore on 17th March 2009 in Kallada G 4 series . Since our one month old puppy also was with her, we had contacted travels people in advance to check whether she can take the puppy along with her. They had confirmed us that there was no problem in taking our puppy along with my mother in the bus. They had given her 1st seat in the bus. Puppy was sleeping in my mothers lap and it had not even made bit noise. Once the bus reached Vadakenchery they stopped the bus and asked the passenger to board another bus of Kallada travels G4) ( Bus which was coming from Ernakulam ). It was night around 12'o'clock. When my mother was boarding the bus they told her that she cannot travel with the puppy. She explained them that it was agreed by there office people in Guruvayoor but still they didn’t allow her to travel. Passengers and the driver of the bus which came from Guruvayoor also explained them the same and also informed that the puppy had not created any sort of trouble in the bus. But the bus people where so rude that they asked my mother to get out of the bus at 12 in the night.
Please note my mother is 54Yr old traveling alone and she was asked to go out of the bus at night 12'o Clock. Seeing my mother, who did not know what to do, one good person and his wife also got out of the bus along with her. They also had to cancel there journey, they took a taxi and dropped my mother back to our native in Guruvayoor.
It was a real cruelty done by Kallada G 4 series. I am lodging a complaint in consumer court and women’s protections cell

bstrds... fckrs... bldy mothrles ... how can they do this? i suggest you to go and hit the person who agreed to take puppy first. hit him with a rode. if he agrees its his resposibilty to take care of passengers. that also ladies. I say all kallada bstrds are like this. no responsibility. nothing. never book in this bus. never ever.

On 11th night from Pune to Hyderabad I have booked the Ticket. I am carrying with me two boxes of luggage which is less than 5 KG.Initially the Driver asked me Rs.150 per box then I asked to give me receipt for the same.Then he denied and removed my luggage from the bus.He not only removed my luggage but also removed another Passenger Mr.Prasad Luggage too as he also denied to pay the bribe.But he is a bit lucky that he has taken the ticket from the local tour operator so he was accomadated in another bus.I also asked him if at all it has been mentioned any where in the bus or ticket I will accept.But the two drivers refused to answer me.Even I tried to contact the Higher authorities as the time was around 9:00 P.M no body lifted the phone or I received a phone from any body to help me.Later even though I told him that I will give him the money but he has not entered my Luggage and the bus has left from the place without paying back the money to me as the ticket booked by the APTDC-Hyderabad office. Later I tried to catch another bus but I was not having enough money so I have to take Taxi and came to Hyderabad because for the taxi I can pay the money after I reach my destination.I have booked the APTourism because it is Govt Service and the speed limit will be maintained and the important point is it will enter into the CITY where as Private Bus leaves outside the city.Now it seems to me better to go with Private travels as they can accomadate me in other bus.The Bus no is AP09Y2587 date of travel 11/7/2009 and MR no is 319634. I need a reply from the concern authorities within 48 hours otherwise I will be approaching Consumer Forum/Court/SHRC for Justice.

I had booked a ticket a ticket from Kottayam to Bangalore by Kallada Volvo on[protected]. The booking was made for travel on[protected]. from their office near Axis Bank, Kottayam. They confirmed the seat no J4 on payment of Rs. 900 and a receipt was issued. On[protected] at about 4.45pm ( scheduled time of the bus comming from Kottarakara ) the agent asked my son who was travelling to board the bus. Just before the bus left around 5.00 pm the agent asked my son to get off this bus and promised to put him on another Volvo comming later. Taking his word my son boarded off the bus. The agent was trying to leave the scene after this.( He was smelling of liqour). Finally another Volvo belonging to Sharma travels came and after a lot of pleading and persuation, they agreed to take him in the last row otherwise meant to dump baggage and their blankets.
Since my son was a young lad he was able to rough out the journey. My sincere advice to all fellow passengers is please dont board off the bus youre booked on. Never hand over your ticket to anyone.

Worst service i ever seen from any travels, except kallada. Kallada is too worst. last week me and my wife travelling from Aleppy to Bangalore. we booked the ticket in Kallada AC Volvo. We get on bus at 5.30 PM Saturday, The bus got seized at kerala check post because, the bus was carrying too much goods without paying sales tax to kerala Govt. So they seized the bus at 11.30 PM, we were waiting up to 5.00 AM next morning to they will arrange another bus, they were not at all serious about to arrange another bus, Then all passenger did few minute strike in NH, Then police called Kallada manager, 6.30 AM he arranged another bus, that bus also not good. We lost 7 hours in kerala check post, next day (Sunday) 3.30 PM we reached Bangalore. Horrible service,

When it is Kallada, you can expect this and worse. I always felt that Karnataka KSRTC always did a good job. The only problem is that they open for booking too very late. I try to avoid Kallada as much is possible...

This is exactly true.Becoz i also felt some bad events from the drivers.Most of the problem is they dont know the language.Atleast they should know English.Plese make sure the passengers safety,especially ladies.The reason why we are choosing this type of travels to avoide this type of problems and difficulties.So please do understand that.

I would say the restrooms around the Indian Highways are in depleted conditions and sometimes beyond recognition.

When travelling unless you have company or you are using your own vehicle, try to avoid drinking too much water. The old adage “8 glasses of water a day, is good for health” is not when you travel.

For women travellers, I would suggest that you ensure you have got company or make an acquintance in the BUS or Train you travel. Do take him/her along with you if you have to use a very secluded restroom or inform him/her that you are gonna use the restroom.

More than the inconvenience, I would be more concerened about the safety. Try to take a fellow passener along when you venture out in the night.

Even using the train restrooms not advisable if you haven't informed a fellow passenger. Make sure someone come looking for you if you are usually late in returning.

Be cautious and seek help from fellow passenger if your driver is RUDE... Dont go by this logic, if i take help from someone, I would be showing the GREEN SIGNAL for something else. There would be so many travelling along with you, who would genuinely help.

Better be safe than sorry.

Because of this type of behaviour from kallada most of time i tried to travel in train but we have to plan a bit earlier or check for tatkal . Once they forced us to travel in a volvo without A/C some people give some objection but they managed it with local support in trissur. That was my last exp with that group.

First of all the Travels like Kallada are the main culprits who pays politicians for not bringing up new trains between Bangalore and Kerala.

For travel between chennai and Kerala, majority o[censored]s prefer Railways since many trains are available. Add to it the convenience and the cost effectiveness of Train journey.

But just one daily train operating between Bangalore and Kerala, majority o[censored]s has no option but to pay for the over charged bus travel. Bus travel is totally inconvenient and add to that the stubborn attitude of staff there.

To change this, kerala bound passengers has to form an association and demand for new trains from Bangalore to Kerala.

I agree with this person... I book ticket through Karnataka RTC . It is very convenient and comfortable. I avoid private max .. since I have a bad experience in this.

Kallada should be the last choice...in any case...

the main issue is related to the monopoly. you just think how difficult to get a ticket from Bangalore to kerala of vise versa in a week end. there is not enough public transport available. hence any body can behave rude to the passengers. They know what ever they do you have no other choice other than traveling in their bus.

Hence the customer care is not at all a big concern to Kallada or other bus operators doing this. Goverment should do see this type of issues and do the necessary arrangement for giving additional trains or Government buses.

You should also be aware that the government also can be get controlled by a big group by paying bribes. So just suffer like as usual thats only and a normal person can do here.

Or else you should be wealthy enough to purchase your own vehicle.

It doesnt mean if you own a car at home, everyone at home would be driving on the highway. You may prefer to drive by car, what if anyone in your family has to travel and doesnt prefer driving - end of the day we all depend on common transport system for most.
Definitely transport owners would not be approachable. Atleast lodging a complaint in consumer court is a viable attempt.

I Had a very worst experince in Kallada as well . I was in need to go to chennai from bangalore and I booked a seat in volvo. And I had a very bad experince in that.as soon as I enter inisde I saw the sound speaker above my seat is broken (or removed) and A/C was blowing like wind. I asked the driver to make some arrangements bcz I know, it will hurt me after some time. Driver just told that "yes it will be taken care" and I was hoping that they will do it.after all nothing happened and he took of the vehicle.I got too much angry, went and argued with him, and he said he is not resposible for that.And I asked who the hell is resposible then??. answer is "I dont know".So guys before booking this bus think twice.or on worst case pray to god for not getting a holo A/C or bug filled seats. I HATE KALLADA.

WHat do these guys think they're running, some ultra swank bus service eh?? ebooking and sleepers and all the useless frills are absolutely of no use if they cant get their basics right! ...beats me why these chaps always try to beat their own standards at being sub standard...once it was about a misbehaving driver, the second was a case of "invalid booking" plus puke on the side of the seat not cleaned up since the previous journey...and once it was a combination of all these "services". And hey how can i forget the bedbugs...oooh just luv the way they wait for you to settle down after quarelling with brickheaded drivers/conductors. 1-2 hrs into the journey they religiously get down to sucking away blood and disappeared inside the crevices between seats...or mabbe kallada as a company could be hard core animal lovers who get a kick out of breeding bed bugs and feedin them on travelers blood!! seriously couldn't this be a more than a theory...or is it just that all the bug biting has made my brains numb??

Reading at the comments above, I wonder if there is any use of adding one more comment. I wonder even if anyone at Kallada ever read these. If you do, please send me a line acknowledging your seeing my mail.
I was passenger of Kallada last on September 8, 2009, from Bangalore to Thrissur bus no 7200, seat nos 31 and 32. It was scheduled to leave at 8.30pm and we were told to arrive at the office at 8pm. The bus came after 9pm and left by 9.30pm.
There after, it stopped at several places within the city for different lengths of time, without any apparent reason and without any explanation.
The bus was scheduled to reach Thrissur but reached at 9am, two hours late.
All those things probably could be explained away as incidental or whatever. But there were certain things that could probably be addressed and improved.
There were many women in the bus and some of them had become absolutely miserable by morning because of the absence of a toilet break. For more than 12 hours, they were suppposed to sit tight without attending to the nature's call!.
In fact, the bus did stop at a petrol station which indeed had a rest room, though its condition was pathetic. But the bus staff wouldn't tell the passengers who were ignorant of such a facility.
In fact, the attitude of the staff was pathetic. The driver and his helper would stop wherever they pleased and go off the bus. The sleeping passengers will not even know. Since I personally was very alert and did not trust my own bladder I was virtually awake most of the time and would finish off my job on the sly at road sides. Women obviously couldn't do such a thing.
In the morning, the bus stopped at Palakkad Kallada office for a long timeeven though it was running late. The driver went inside and leisurely freshened up himself and may be had breakfast as well! But, the passengers had no such facility. They simply sit inside without even knowing how long they will have to wait.
But the most important lapse I found was the design of the bus and the attitude of the cleaner. When the cleaner's seat is open the door to the passenger's cabin cannot be opened! it means that all the passengers are trapped inside the bus with no way to get out. Often, the driver and the boy would get out and go somewhere with the helper's seat open. When passengers try to open the cabin door, it will not.Imagine having an emergeny in the passenger cabin - like a fire or something else. God forbid, but everyone will be burnt alive. THIS MUST BE LOOKED INTO URGENTLY.
Then, the attitude of the staff. Why don't they tell the passengers where are they stopping, why are they stopping and for how long? The passengers are treated like cattle, as if they are not entitled to know anything. Even when you ask them something, they dont like it. One doesn't get a proper answer.
I even suspect (I am not sure) that some of them consume alcohol before taking the wheel (I overhead some discussion among drivers on the subject). I have nothing against drinking but they shouldn't do so before driving. So many lives are at stake.
Half way into the journey the driver changed. The attitude of both the drivers, particularly the second one, could do with a lot of improvement. They picked up arguments with other drivers all along the way. The second driver even had a tiff with the highway police (I don't know what the fault was) and I know the police was indeed very rude and abusive. But that is another story.
By the way, two days previously (Sept 6), when we were going to Bangalore from TCR, we had booked sleepers but were provided with reclining seats for half the journey. Not only the service paid for was not provided but the passengers was hugely inconvenienced because of the changeover in the middle of the night, with bag and baggage. We demand a refund of the ticket amount for services contracted but not provided. There was not even an apology from anyone. We intend to reach a logical conclusion to this issue. I am a journalist and I know where to go for solutions.
A satisfatory response is expected within a week.

Service — abusive Behavior & Demand for extra money to issue tatkal ticket

Dear Sir ,

On Pilani Ticket reservation Counter Head Mr. K.L.meena taking Extra money before Tatkal reservation Oping of Sunday (25/10/09). He Also Demand 4 Hundred Rs. to me to issue tatkal ticket of Train no. 2956. I am one no. position in Costumer Queue for reservation. but he not take my reservation form.
I object for this .he conduct with me was very abusive and I felt very much like insulted.
When I tried to question him, he said "Do not talk much, Otherwise I will make it worst for you. I will handover you to police and they will keep over night. give the fine and get lost".

for all of this i call to Chief Executive on his mobile no.-[protected] to take Action & he suggest me to write Complaint to him.
finely they will not help any costumer . he take only extra money for issue tickets for all costumer.

Kallada id famous for bed bugs. Twice I had the same experience. ‘Kallada travels’ is a good example for the problems that can cause if there is Monopoly. Since they are the major travel operators to Kerala, they are not at all concerned about the customer satisfaction. Their attitude towards the customers is very bad. If you go to Bangalore Madiwala office, you will feel the same. Its long time since I traveled in Kallada(Almost 1 year), so not sure there is any change in the attitude. My friend had twice the issue of Bus breakdown, and they didn’t provide alternate arrangements. Nowadays I will either book train or will go for any other bus operators.

I had the worst experience while comming back from THEKKADY to banglore last week (07/11/2010), While getting in to the bus at 8pm i asked the driver by wat time will u stop for dinner, he said by 11:00pm so traveled with empty stomach. atlast it was 11:30pm he stopd at one hotel but der was no food except for the driver N cleaner.(those shameless people had nicely, They dint even bother for the lady passengers N childrens), along with me few more family's also struggled for the food with the small childrens but no use and except the driniking water option. i went N asked driver y u hv stoped where food is not available...lazily his reply was everyday we use to stop here..but if food is get over wat shld i do..somehow i manage to get food for the small child by fighting with the hotel staff...i asked the driver to stop somewere were at least snacks available the driver is agreed..and surpris'nly the next stop was banglore ...my question is wen the bus is regularly stoping at the hotel every night den y the hotel running out of food..passengers are getting punishment because they have chosen KALLADA transport ?
Guys never try to get in to this transport, and never trust ANUBAM travel or these agents (MUNAR or IDDUKI) you can expect this and worse than this...

I travelled by Kallada travels (Suresh Kallada) from Cochin to Ernakulam on[protected]. I am writing this to tell the horrible experience we had with Kallada during that trip.

> 1. The travel was advertised to be in volvo bus. B7R from Cochin-coimbatore and B9R from Coimbatore-Hyderabad. The B7R was in such bad condition - bus body was loosely hangning in some parts, inside bus water was leaking from under baggage place, the baggage place itself was plastered using cellotape, AC was not working properly, entertainment system was not working, bus was in need of serious repair (we had severe back pain after few hours of travel).
> 2. The B9R which we were supposed to get in from Coimbatore was not available at Cbtr. We were told that it had some engine problem and the bus change would be done 80km from Cbtr bus stop. We came to know of the real problem at that place - adulterated diesel was filled in bus, mechanic had come from volvo and it was said that it would not be possible to repair the bus that day. No information was given on whether an alternate arrangement would be provided or how they are going to handle this situation.
> 3. We had to travel again in the B7R bus not being sure for how long. Then we were told that the bus change would happen during dinner place. That also did not happen.
> 4. Finally the change in bus happened during late night (1:30am) at some isolated place in the highway. The change was with a B9R which was coming to Cbtr from Hyderabad. We all woke up from our sleep, had to take all our luggages from this bus to the new bus. Same case with the people in another bus. Most people in the other bus were confused and had no idea of what was happening, some of them still were in the same B9R bus thinking they will be continuing the trip in the same bus. No Kallada employees were properly communicating what was happening. COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL!
> 5. The places were the bus stopped for food (lunch, dinner etc) were pathetic. The conductors was shabily dressed with chewing pan.

= Is this the way a customer is treated when a customer is paying so much for a comfortable travel?
= Service in same route from another provided provides a better service (same bus from Cochin-Hyd, bus which was serviced properly, bus employess professional & properly dressed, and better customer service) at a lower price.
After the trip, I came to know that this was not a one-off incident and had happened with Kallada before even in Bangalore-Kerala route through friends experiences and reviews in internet.
I have decided never to take Kallada travels for any of my future trips. Thank you.

I traveled on last week from salem to hyderabad. The boarding time was 8.00 pm but it reaches salem at 11. The staff behavior was irritating when I asked about the late. More over they are shouting on us and they were asking me call head office and talk. We should not promote others to travel this kind of travels. More over it reached hyderabad at 5.30 pm instead of 9 AM. We are paying 1000 + everytime. So Think off...

They are challenging us like do what ever u can... I dont find any solution. We should not allow them to grow up as they are providing very worst service and worst behavior. I hate KALLADA travels. No punctuality, .. So guys plz never ever choose KALLADA travels in your life. Even you can cancel your journey i[censored] dont have any other buses. We can support other bus services those who are providing excellent services.

Brother in arms..! 101% with you guys. Let me share my experience.

I have traveled back & forth Bangalore to ernakulam atleast 50 times. From my personal experience, I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND KALLADA TRAVELS for your or your family's travel. It would be as good as gambling because most of the times you will feel like you are traveling in their mercy. I have opted Kallada travels 5 times and except once all the other 4 travels which I made was in a different seat from which I booked and again that was a connection till hosur, and had to shift down to a local bus further.
And if you ever WALK IN to KALLADA OFFICE at MADIVALA, I bet you will never go there again unless your inner mind lets you in with no other options to live with. The kind of response you get from the staff sitting there is disgusting i shud say, Government staff behaves better..!
I am not finger pointing Kallada travels, in fact most of the other interstate bus service provides same level of service but from my view, I feel comfortable travelling in other buses. The reason for these kind of attitude to passengers is simple, they are the dominant power in this industry & they own the major market share[most number of buses both Multi Axle Volvo & regular airbus]. They know, people will approach them one way or the other [via other travel agencies] though their tickets are not selling.
Not Withstanding the fact that urgency is what keeps people to go behind them, we cannot do much here. Its all in their hands.

Abusive behaviour by driver and his co-worker.

Yesterday evening 8:15PM[protected]had been my journey from "Kallada Travels" from Calicut to Bangalore.
Unfortunately someone had broke the glass at the window nearby me. Even a lame person would had identified as it has been caused from an stone thrown from outside but the driver was so rigid to accept the fact and the helper was very very aggressive as if they are going to manhandle their customer. Only a stone will cause the glass to get shattered into granular pieces. Horrific travel experience without an window during a night journey.
I am really amused to see how Kallada people can be so violent towards their customers. Travelling via Kallada was really a nightmare for me.
Anyone who value their pride will not be opting for same.

I am Sri. Mathew writing this letter from Bangalore. I would like to bring to your notice something which happened to me yesterday which pained me a lot. On 14th I had booked a return ticket from Kerala from sleigh-thomas, Madiwala to travel by Kallada sleeper cum semi sleeper from Kollam to Bangalore. In my ticket I was given the information that the reporting time is 6.30pm and departure time is 6.45pm. The boarding point was near railway station, Cherthala. I was at the spot at 5.55pm. Meanwhile a Chennai Kallada went and at 6.40pm, a non AC also went in full speed without stopping or even seeing my hand signalling them to stop. I remained on thinking that was not my bus. At 6.45pm I rang the number [protected] and got the signal that it is temporarily out of service. Unfortunately this number is given in the ticket. Then I tried the customer care number 0480 – 2832010 and I was told to wait. Meanwhile I contacted Bangalore counter sleigh-thomas and he too was upset that I did not inform him before. However he gave me a number of Ernakulam and then managed to talk to someone there. Meanwhile the bus driver who had not picked me up rang to me from vaitila asking me to reach there somehow to board the bus, and that is almost 40 km away from my place and it was raining too. How could I reach there to catch the bus when I was still standing at Cherthala? I had no information from anywhere with regard to what had happened and I was told to show hand to any bus that came that way. Is it just to tell me to do that since I had all directions given clear and they too were supposed to have all details including my phone number? Finally at 9.30pm I managed to get a Volvo to Bangalore. I remained in front of the railway station for three hours and a half and trying to call the all people possible, wasting a lot of money on phone as well. At the end of the story I reached Bangalore at 8.00am instead of 5.30am. I do not know what is happening. This is the first time I am travelling by Kallada and my experience is very pathetic. I would like to get an explanation for this behaviour from the part of the travel agent. If not I may go one step further.

I was going from chennai to tvm on 19th Oct. It was heavily raining and I was supposed to board in guindy. I reached the boarding point on time and called the transport desk and then driver.
1) The driver (not the transport desk) informed it is late by 1:30 hrs and the bus is just stating.
2) It was raining v heavily. The driver asked me to wait in Azhad khan govt bus stop where there is shelter.
3) The bus came and did not stop. When I called back they ask me to come half km away which was supposed to be (I still donno) the ight pickup point.
4) I paid for an auto (as I had lots of luggage) and went to board.
5) When questioned on why he didnt stop though he asked me to stand there and i showed hand to stop they stated talking very bluntly and used very unfriendly. Had to shout and giveup as one of the commuters had flight to catch.
6) None of the sheets were washed and the next day morning it was folded and kept for the next day's use in front of our eyes.
7) Drivers and cleaner were singing and talking at the top of their voice very ealy in the morning.
Totally uncomfortable journey.

I had two time experience with Kallada Travels for journey from Cochin to Hyderabad both the time the bus was delayed and reached the destination very late. They dont show the manners to inform us regarding the delay of bus for almost 3 hours. The hospitality of the staff is very bad. they showed very rude and arrogant behavior the passengers as if like they are taking us for free. they dont even had chairs to seat the passengers who arrived early.
This is the worst experience i had with this type of buses compared to other operators of similar kind.

I had another bad experience at kallada on 24th November 2012. The Chennai- trivandrum multi axle AC semi sleeper, which according to their website should depart frm Koyambedu in Chennai at 7.00pm. The bus arrived 4 hours late. The crew and coordinators were not taking responsibility for the bus being late. they took the paasengers for granted, almos 20 paasengers were waiting 4 hours for the arrival of the bus. The koyambedu kallada office do not provide decent bathroom fecilities for the paasengers. The only stop they provided us was at Nagercoil bus depot, which was gross(needless to say). On the other hand, I had booked the return trip in Parveen travels, who started the bus on time. I should stress that they said departure at 6.30pm and did start at 6.30 pm. Also they broke the journey at a very decent n neat restroom available area at Nagercoil. What I wud like to stress here is that, in spite of the availability of decent amneties, Kallada fails to serve the consumers for the price they charge us for the travel.

I have had another bad experience with kalla da travels in June 2012. A frend was travelling By kallada- Chennai Tvm semi sleeper. The person had chosen Chennal Central as the boarding point. After calling n confirming with the number given in the ticket, my frend got to the central station 15 minute befre time. No Kallada bus came that route. After almost half an hour, my frend gets a call saying the bus is at Koyambedu, and askd him to reach koyambedu right away.
the following points are to be noted:
1. there is no coordination betweent he organizers and drivers.
2. they are not couteous to inform us abt the change in boarding points.
3. they take passengers time and money for granted, and cares the least to keep us comfortable.
4. From my past 2 experiences they are always late.
5. They do not provide good restroom (toilet) facilities to the customers.
6. Even at their koyambedu office, when the bus was 4 hours late, the passengers were not even offered a seat to sit.

THIS IS INFORM YOU THAT I WAS REALLY DISAPPOINTED IN MY JOURNEY THAT I MADE ON YESTERDAY (BANGLORE TO PALA/NON-AC) .I HAVE BEEN USING YOUR SERVICE SINCE 5 YEARS.THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I ENCOUNTER SUCH AN EXPERIENCE.
I REQUESTED YOUR DRIVER TO TURNOFF THE LIGHT AS IT DISTURBED MY SLEEPING ..I ASKED SEVERAL TIMES, AT THAT TIME HE BEHAVED VERY RUDELY..

Kallada Travels is miserable when it comes to staff behavior and punctuality. I had several bad experiences when travelling in those buses between hyderabad and ernakulam. These are my observations in brief:-
-They are very rude and hardly listen to any plight of the passengers, no matter ladies or elderly.
-They miss the schedule by hours. Never on time.
-They made me shift buses at border (between karnataka and Andhra) without any prior notice not once more than 3 times, telling there is no permit for the bus. BTW they do this exercise in a rude manner.

Last but not the least they have jacked up the prices of tickets recently to exploit the monopoly thye have in this route. I seriously doubt their nexus with politicians and officials by not providing enough of government buses or trains in this route.

Another comment I would like to add about kallada is about the place they choose for refreshments and break. Like others mentioned the restaurants and hotels don't have proper restrooms, they are very filthy and ill maintained. The menu is so highly priced, with poor quality of food. The drivers and helpers are treated lavishly by those hotel managements for the customers they bring in.
We don't have a choice and thus end up being exploited.

The places to mention in hyderabad - ekm route are
- Raviteja restaurant (dinner) hopeless place!!!
- Morning breakfast somewhere in palakkad, don't remember the hotel name- Food is ok, but toilet sucks!! horrible.

MY WIFE WAS VERY SICK, CONTINUOUSLY VOMITING, HIGH FEVER. I ASKED THE DRIVER TO STOP FOR A MINUTE FOR MY WIFE.BUT THE DRIVER DIDN'T STOP FOR A WHILE AND STOPPED AFTER 5 HOURS AT KURNOOL. THERE THEY WERE TAKING LOCAL PASSENGERS FOR LESS AMOUNT OF MONEY AND THERE WAS NO TOILET NEARBY..I WAS SO HELPLESS AT THAT TIME...DRIVER WAS TAKING MONEY IN HIS POCKET.THIS WAS THE BEHAVIOUR OF THE GANDU DRIVER.

Kallada Travels stands as CHEATER Travels. They will cheat you in one way or another. I have travelled twice with kallada travels in the last 8 months - only when I didnt get KSRTC -luxury buses and my experiences have been horrible. Once I booked my ticket in volvo and paid rs700 for Bangalore-calicut but I was made to travel in a Non- Ac bus for which others paid only 430. The other time they booked another person's ticket for the same seat which I'd booked; they tried hard to convince me to move to some other seat- I didnt move at all as I was single girl travelling alone; I didnt want to experience adventures. CHEATER CHEATER CHEATER - kallada travels stands to be a CHEATER travels.

I had a horrible experience with Kallada travels recently. I paid for the highest end ( a Sleeper Mercedes benz) to Madurai from Bangalore.
At the time of booking the drop point was shown as periyar bus stand where as while boarding the driver said it would be thirumangalam bye pass as the drop point. Being new to this route I agreed as I had not choice. The driver as well as the fellow at the office said I need not worry as there would be buses round the clock and they will help me board the bus at this point.
We reached the drop off point at 3.00 AM in the morning in the middle of the highway. The driver said that I could cross the highway and flag a town bus and went away. I was with my wife and my teenage daughter trying wave down busses at 3.00 AM in the night with not a soul in sight and we were shaking with fright.
Fortunately by god's grace one town bus stopped and we could board before any thing terrible could happen.
I think these bus operators only motive seems to be money and customer safety and service does not really matter.
It was ironical while coming back from Madurai on the Kallada bus the bus stopped over 45 minutes to pick up a passeger after Karur since there were some empty seats.
If you are ever planning to use Kallada's services in the future please make sure that you don't get taken for a ride like the the way I was. I was lucky and you can't push your luck every time. rgds...chandar

I had booked a ticket in Kallada bus for 28.04.2013 to go to Bangalore from Ernakulam.Pick up point was Palarivattom bypass junction at 8.00P M.Bus has to come from Kottayam.About 7 passangers were waiting there.At about 8.15 bus came.Everybody rushed to get in the bus.Bus stopped for a moment and Soon after one passanger got inside the bus, door closed and making all other passangers fools, the driver took the bus and went away.Bus agency rep.was also present there.When the rep. contacted the driver by phone he stopped the bus about 2KM away from us and asked us to go to the bus by autoriksha.All passengers and Rep.was in a pathetic condition.At that time autoriksha was not available.Somehow we managed to reach the bus by our own vehicles.By that time half an our gone.
I dont know why Kallada is appointing such irresponsible drivers creating problems and sufferings to the passengers.
You may please take suitable action against this irresponsible driver.

Dear Sir,
I am a senior doctor practicing medicine in Tenkasi, Tirunelveli Dist. I had the misfortune of travelling by one of your buses from Chennai to Tenkasi on the 12th of this month. Though I have not travelled by Kallada travels before, I happily accepted your agent Alfa Travels’ recommendation o[censored]tilizing your luxury coach. That apart, I have seen your bus gliding on the roads beautifully, adding one more reason to opt for it. The seats allotted to us were L3 &L4.
Last minute confusion by the Tenkasi agent regarding the departure time of the bus from Chennai deprived me of my dinner and preparation for the travel like carrying water etc., Beating the hectic evening traffic of Chennai I reached the bus terminus with my equally aged wife about 5 minutes before departure drenched in our own sweat. After loading our luggage in the bus I realized that we had no water to drink & requested the driver to permit me to fetch a bottle of water from the shop which was right behind the bus. He refused saying that the bus was going to leave & that I could get it during the next stop. Summer heat of Chennai along with the desperate rush to board the bus on time had left us nearly dehydrated, you can surmise.
Once the bus started moving we felt uncomfortable due to the humidity inside the bus. When we informed the bus attendant he casually said that it should get better in a few minutes. Understanding the reason thru our experience in our own car, we tolerated. After an hour when we reiterated the complaint he assured us saying that the temperature had dropped by 3 degrees and the chillness should start at any time. After 2 hours when we were woken up from nap due to the sweat sticking our dresses to the seat as the heat was unbearable. For the third time when we drew the attention of the attendant of the bus he said that there was a problem in the AC unit and it would be settled immediately. It never was. The last 3 rows of the bus passengers were equally stressed I could see. A lady seated in the immediate front row with her son kept on touching the air vent in vain, hoping for it to come alive. I requested the cleaner boy to leave the sun roof atleast, ajar but he bluntly refused. Being an asthmatic myself the suffocation worsened my breathing. Now the questions I raise before you are the following.
• The usual supply of mineral water by the crew of your bus was deprived. Neither we were allowed to .
• My wife aged 52 was allotted a seat in the middle of the row next to a hefty passenger making the travel a nightmare. Bus crew of Tamilnadu would generally request the co passenger to yield the corner seat to the lady when situation like this happens. Your crew never did.
• The bus stopped en route in the entire major cities only where we could not find a toilet and were not informed to alight to ease ourselves.
• You charge the highest for the travel – Rs.850 per ticket- from Chennai to Tenkasi – Is it justifiable ?

Next morning after we reached our destination, Tenkasi when we enquired, the bus attendant said that the 2nd AC did not work at all and if I want I can lodge a complaint with the office, with total apathy. The Tenkasi agent also concurred with him.
Cattle from Tamilnadu to Kerala are sent much more luxuriously, neatly parked in open Lorries with periodic stops. Do you consider the passengers inferior to them?

My rating for the bus, punctuality, customer service, and all-in-all would be 0 for Kallada travels. This is my 3rd time with Kallada travels, each time the experience has been worst.

1. Pickup location. The pickup point for location Tambaram was given as 'Adayar bakery', which is about 8-10kms distance away from tambaram main junction. Actually the pickup location was 'Hindu mission hospital' which is close to main junction. We had to pay 200Rs to travel to the mentioned location and then come back to actual pickup point.
The point is Kallada travels does not care about informing the passangers about this or Update the location to travel portals like makemytrip, yatra, redbus etc.
When we pinpointed this to the bus driver/conductor, they were asking to tell MakeMytrip to update. Woww...

2. Punctuality: Bus was supposed to reach at 9.40pm at tamabaram. The actual tie it arrived was 10.45pm.. Great punctuality...

3. Customer service and customer interaction: No one ever picks up the contact number (mobile or landline) when we call. For the lucky (extremely patient one to dial it a 100 times) one who gets it, the attitude of Kallada travels to the customer is very very rude. The same is the case with the bus attenders/drivers.

4. Bus quality: Supposed to be a multi-axle. Badly badly maintained. I think they are not doing regular service for it. Heard from one of the fellow passengers that the bus had met with an accident one week before, this was evident from the front guard which was replaced one with a cheap chinese looking one. The driving is nothing short than rash.

5. The most important part: Bus was supposed to reach Kannur at 11am next morning. The bus had a mechanical trouble midway (~100kms from Chennai) and instead of calling a mechanic or informing to get another bus, the bus attenders/drivers wasted 2-3 hours trying to patch up. Finally when it was done, for the remaining part of the journey, the driving was so rash. No wonder the bus gets into accidents. The bus reached at 3.30pm or so at Calicut.

6. It is supposed to be Chennai to Kannur bus. Actually, the bus is only till Calicut and from there they provide a taxi/cab. A not so well maintained cab in which they put in maximum number of passengers for calicut to Kannur journey. This is never mentioned in the bus ticket or any time during booking.

By the time we reached Kannur, it was around 4.30-5pm. 5 hours late than mentioned time.

I know even putting this review has no use, since we have to depend on these kind of travels in routes where they have an autonomy, cheating customers, squeezing money from them.

I EXPERIENCED A WORST SERVICE FORM KALLADA TRANSPORT.
I TOOK THE BUS FROM NAGERCOIN AND TOOK THE TICKET TO SELAM. BUT THE BUS DRIVER DIDN'T STOP AT SALEM WENT 5KM AWAY FROM SALEM. THEN AFTER A HARSH CONVERSATION FROM THAT DRIVE HE DROP ME AT THE BYPASS ITSELF. THAT WAS TOO AWAY FROM SALEM. THIS HOW U TREAT A PASSENGER?

I don't know whether this is a foum for just sharing our complaints or wther any body will take any action.I too had a bitter experiance with Trivandrum--Banglore Kallada on 15.6.2013. The Bus was schedule to be starting from TVM at 6.p.m, but started only at 7.p.m.I reached Kollam at 9 p.m and had some truble and stopped.The driver was making calls to some mechanic and we were not told about what was happening . After sone time it was told that some other bus will be coming from trivandrum and we all started looking for some hotel for food and using toilet .but the only hotel found in thesurrounding had no toiet facility.So we 7 ladies in the bus started wakling on the road in search of a petrol pumb.luckly we saw the kollam railway station and used the facility there.again at 9.30 another non AC bus came and by around 3o'clock reached somewhere near vyttila .there we were shifted to another bus .It was raining heavily and we were all forced to change the bus with luggage and all .We were about to sleep, when the bus again stopped at Angamaly.There another bus coming from banglore was waiting and we were directed to shift to that bus.At that time some of the ladies asked for toilet facilty and the driver just pointed his finger towards the open space.some o[censored]s were in a very bad condition and was ready to even use the open space.But all the men were standing there we were embarressed .When the bus started again we asked the cleaner to stop at some petrol pumb.All of a sudden he started shouting that we should have sone all the needs when the bus was stopped . i lost my control and shouted back.only one lady supported me. Due to our response he stopped at one petrol pumb at 4 o'clok .the bus reached Mysore finally at 1.30 next day. The behavour of the driver may be atributed to illiteracy, but what annoyed me most was the behaviour of the male passengers in the bus.Even when the cleaner was shouting at us, NO ONE came to support us.actually they all seemed to enjoy all the happening.They were takign tea, using the public place to urinate, smoking and having good time ...SHAME ON THEM

Waste service. I booked from Hyderabad to Ernakulam. The bus was suppose to start at 5.45 PM and it started at 7.25 PM. When the bus reached at Walayar Check post the driver had an argument with a policeman he stopped the bus for 40 mints. When bus reached at Angamaly, the tire got burst. They didn't have a spare tire and we had to travel in KSRTC bus.

While returning my pick up point was in Cherthala at 5.45 PM and the bus came at 8.20. I had a connecting bus from Bangalore to Hyderabad and this stupid bus reached very late. I lost the connecting service. And they did not provide blanket, water and employees were behaving very badly.

Never ever travel in this bus.

I booked a ticket in redbus, the kallada people sold my tickets to some other people and created hell lot of problems and finally they gave us last seats and told us if you want to come u take last seats otherwise getdown...


Worst Kallada Travels.. Worst Drivers in Kallada Travels, Worst Kallada Travels Management...

At the time of booking they list out all the drop points. While the bus reaches destination, they say that we don’t know, talk to online people or call help line. The only thing they firmly say is this is the last stop. Also when the bus comes to their Madiwala office, 1st thing they do is closing the office, so that no one enters inside and questions them.
It was rainy midnight 12.30, and i had my wife and two kids along with me. Very coolly the driver and agent told, bus will not go in the mentioned route. My home was far away from Madiwala, no autowala was willing to come. So i booked the cab and spent 2 hours along with my family till the cab reached us. And after 3 hours of drenching in rain we reached home. Thanks to Kallada for this wonderful support. What i understood is this travels is good for nothing, they simply loot our money.

Most importantly their online feedback system is disabled. You have to type everything, and when you submit, nothing will happen; you will only see a blank page. There also they don’t care about a customer.

Friends Don't ever think of Kallada...

Service is very very bad in kallada...
Driver is behaving like what, he can do any thing.. no body is there for controlling.
Better to avoid kallada.. But as comparison I think SRM is super.

Such a bad exprience with kallada travels today(16th dec 2o13)took ticket from Raj Travells, Kottarakara to Bangalore as usual(every week me $ my friends travells to bangalore.This time the ticket allocated to me was side in next front row, as. Request. Once. I reached Adoor one of your staff very rudly informed me that you have to shift your seat to back side of the volvo witout any logic saying that you talk Raj Travels.without any Hesitation I went back to find the seat your person intimateD but not able to find . Again I went the person who drives the bus without any uniform oR name badge (as per kallada norms). Told me very rudly that can't you see the seat which I got very humilited.

In such attitude of staff I never use tis travels as me and my group commutation to Bangalore. In future.

While travelling from Bangloore to Hyderabad-----Kallada travels passengers are getting cheated by the person who is responsible for checking the tickets at hebbal Stop Bangloore. This cheating is something a new kind of technique, where Ticket Checking person will ask the passenger to get down the bus. When that passenger ask the reason, ticket checking person will tell that..your ticket is not valid, and you can't go in this bus. And ticket checking person will force the passenger to get down the bus. where as that passenger already paid Rs. 1200 and got the seat from Kalasapalyam office along with proper ticket. But when he came to Hebbal stop, suddenly he will get scolded by the ticket checking person and he will forced to get down the bus. Once the passenger get down the bus, that ticket Checking person will sell that seat for Rs. 1000 to other people at Hebbal stop. once that ticket checking person sold out the seat, he will give the share to the Bus Driver. Finally bus will move on, and that passanger who get down from the bus..can't get bus anywhere. This is happening evrery Friday night. The ticket Checking person is very much Fat guy. I don't know his name.

I had a horrible experience with kallada. I wanted to travel from Bombay to trivandrum by train. I was not getting any train tickets since it was April-may. I wanted to travel with my wife and 10 month old baby girl. Since I did not get any train I suggested Volvo to my wife. She refused initially saying it would be difficult to manage with baby. We also had a lot of luggage - 8 big bags. The place I stay in Bombay is called chembur - from here u get all the Volvo buses for any place. Finally we decided Volvo sine we just could not get train tickets. I decided that a direct bus would be best since it would be difficult to change luggage from one bus to another with baby and all. But alas there was no direct Volvo from Bombay to trivandrum. It seemed we had to change from bang lore. Finally it seems there was a direct bus. I met an agent and he made me speak directly to the operator of the travels. He assured me the bus will travel directly from Bombay to trivandrum - no need to get down in Bangalore to change luggage. I was so happy and so foolish to believe him. I don't know if I should be called foolish. Just for getting my 2 tickets the operator lied to me. Guess the travels - kallada. Anyway I was very happy until it was time to board the bus - then I had the shock of my life. Here I am waiting with my baby in arms and wife and 8 baggage. First of all to begin with the cleaner/loader of the kallada bus refused to let me on the bus with 8 bags. He said only 2 bags are allowed. (Why wasn't I asked how much luggage I had at the time of booking) . The helper told me to cancel the booking on the spot. I got afraid and had to pay him 300 re's that he demanded. Then I realised he cheated me. Then I got furious and demanded a receipt for that 300- they said they will give and then conveniently did not. Anyway that was the start - the bus was dirty - the driver cleaner(2 cleaners) very rude. It was as if they were from the mafia. Then we reached bang lore - very unpleasant we had to change to a non-ac bus which would take us to the ac Volvo of theirs which was 5 km away- this happened in the afternoon and it was very hot and my baby started getting sick due to sweat. (At the time of booking I was told it would be a direct bus) I had to pay the helper to transfer my luggage from one bus to another. Then we reached the ac Volvo - it travelled till hosier and then again another bus. Each time it was very difficult to transfer the luggage from one bus to another. I had to pay the bus helpers to transfer luggage. Finally I was hope full that the last bus would be comfortable. It became night finally. They stopped every half hour to one hour and my 10 month old baby could not sleep because they kept switching on the lights during the night to let extra passengers in. Overall it was horrible experience.dirty bus. Rude drivers/cleaners, all lies no honest information. Just for your money they will tell you any lies. Please avoid kallada guys. I even tried to complain in the bang lore kallada office - but pathetic response.

can somebody suggest some alternate bus operators?

Its always a bad experience to travel in kallada travels. I always suffer because of the unprofessional behaviour. I have booked a ticket from shivrampally, hyderabad. The day of journey i get a message to board at paradise. If they have to decide the place for us to board then why do we have a option to select the boarding point. Always lame excuses, worst customer service. I have enquired regarding the message i received & they assured that i can board at shivrampally, again the driver calls me asking where im bus is waiting at paradise. As i have received the confirmation about my boarding point then why the drivers do not get the same information updated in their passenger list. Worst ever by any private bus service.

Yes I agree, bad behavior from kallada drivers and other staffs. I experienced on 28-11-14, attached proof..

This is the most [censored]ing travels ever seen in my life.. Booked ticket Bangalore to tirupur...My mom was travelling alone... Timing was 2.00pm -9.00pm .. But Finally they dropped in Avinashi and said it wont go to tirupur... Before getting it to bus i was asking the travel's guy working there and he said it will go to tirupur... But they dropped my mom in avinashi and driver said it wont go to tirupur, didnt travel's guys didnt inform... She was alone at 9.00pm there and atleast she went in cab... This [censored]ing travels is not responsible and giving false promise... No guaranty and security to passengers, specially for ladies... Till now they didnt change the destination place in website... This is totally a fraud and the most [censored]ing travels in the world...

an excellent citybus running from tanjaore to hyd with at least a stop in half an hour getting in and getting out of passengers with lights on every half an hour. those who do not get sleep in nights is an excellent opprotunity to travel in this bus. charging more than 1800 with below average comfort in seats and ambience in side. despite stops and a puncture after jadcharla it could bring us to hyd after 8.30. thanks a lot.

one star is too high for this service which do not follow any ethics night long haul. i have never had a problem with my sleep in volvo buses. after return i go to office with other buses. this bus journey forced me to apply for a day leave and sleep.
the cost should by 900 for city bus. unless it improves service comfort for not disturbing during the total night it is BIG WASTE SERVICE

we have not received sms for ticket confirmation and on request by mails 2 times also i did not get the reply mail or sms for journey. the site maintaince is very low . and needs updation for prompt service

I travelled in kallada travels from Mangalore to Hyderabad. Actually it is a 16 hours journey. I used to travel on long journeys but this time it was worst experience. The drivers behaviour is worst. Whenever somebody asked something, his way replying is stubborn, more or less like a rowdy and clearly indicates i am ready to fight mentality. He stopped for toilet once. I[censored] like to fight, u can book ticket in kallada travels and just talk to him.
