Nature of the Complaint
I purchased the payal on 20th October 2024 from Kalyan Jewellers with the assurance of lifetime free maintenance.
Within five days of purchase, the payal broke. I returned to the store expecting support and repair under their "lifetime maintenance" policy.
To my shock, instead of honoring their service promise, the staff began blaming me for the damage and denied any manufacturing defect.
After persistent follow-ups, they returned the repaired item after a month, which is an unacceptable delay.
Within a short span, the payal broke again, proving the product quality is extremely poor and unfit for regular use.
This is not a one-time accidental damage – it’s a result of poor craftsmanship and material, indicating a defective product was sold under misleading claims.
Relief Sought
I request the following:
Full refund of the amount paid or a brand-new replacement of the payal.
Apology for the inconvenience and unprofessional treatment I received at the branch.
A warning to Kalyan Jewellers to stop misleading consumers with false promises of "lifetime free maintenance" if they are unwilling to honor them.
