[Resolved] Karvy Computershare — bonus shares of ril not received

This is to kindly inform you that prior to the issue of bonus shares in september 2017, i held 220 shares of ril industries in physical form

I had converted the physical shares into demat form in september 2017 with icici bank.

I did not receive the additional 220 shares in physical form and neither have they been added to my demat account.

As per karvy, the shares certificate bearing no (S[protected] for 100 shares and 66430926 for 120 shares have been dispatched to your address during 2nd week of september 2017 through speed post vide cover no (S) en[protected]in and en[protected]in.

I have not received the above speed posts and the local post office / online post office complaint cannot trace the above parcels.

Karvy has asked for indemnity, affidavit, 2 nos. Surety, 4 nos. Witness (All with it returns and pan). This is to be followed up eith a police fir but the police are not ready to file fir as the shares were not lost by us. The shares were never received from post office neither karvy has responded for speed post tracking from their side.

Kindly guide us as we stand to lose 220 bonus shares of reliance industries inspite of putting the best efforts and for no real fault of ours.

In this regard, we have to inform you that bonus share certificates were dispatched through post vide cover no. EN[protected]IN & EN[protected]IN on 13/09/2017 on your address and the same has not returned to us undelivered.

Please note that the above envelope/cover was dispatched through post. If the envelope has not received by the addressee, envelope will be automatically returned to us. However, in few cases, chance of loss of share certificate in postal transit is unavoidable. In your case, neither you have received nor the certificate returned to us by the postal authorities, hence, we presume that the share certificate might have been lost in postal transit.

In this regard you are requested to forward us the Indemnity Documents duly filled, signed and attested along with the supporting documents to enable us to do the needful.

Thank you for your prompt response. Kindly note that i am a senior citizen and non working housewife. I do not have IT returns and it is very difficult for me to arrange 6 nos. non family members with their IT returns for the indemnity, affidavit and surety. Furthermore the police have already refused to lodge FIR for non receipt of speed post with containing the bonus shares of RIL.

Kindly advice on the simplest procedure whereby i can furnish the indemnity / affidavit without the requirement of so many witnesses.

I have already missed more than a year's interest on bonus shares and the dividend given by RIL.

Please also advice if the bonus physical shares can be credited to my demat account as it is inevitable i will not be able to arrange all indemnity Documents duly filled, signed and attested along with the supporting documents prior to 04-Dec-2018. In this regard, please note that i have been sending query for non issuance of bonus shares from March 2018 and delay has been caused due to Karvy's limited response.

Updated by leoamita This is to kindly update that all original documents required for issuance of duplicate shares of RIL have been
forwarded to Karvy Hyderabad address via Speed post no: EU[protected]IN on 12-Dec-2018. The speed post is showing as delivered but I have not received any confirmation of receipt from Karvy .

I have sent many reminders for crediting 220 bonus shares of Reliance Industries Limited electronically to my ICICI demat account but still waiting reply from Karvy Computershare.

Please advice on my further course of action for getting the bonus shares of RIL (pending from September 2017).

I, A D, a Sr Citizen & house wife was issued a physical bonus share certificate of RIL in Sept'2017 through speed post(which is address specific not addressee specific) regarding which was made known from the dividend received in Sept/Oct'18. As the said certificate was not received, the same was informed to you in Feb'19 after a through search. RTA says that the said undelivered share certificate was not delivered back to them. Hence as per RTA to get a duplicate certificate I have to go through a tedious procedures of arranging for FIR, Indemnity bond, Affidavit(all are money spender) along with 2 sureties & 4 witnesses (all with tax returns, pan & also I am not a IT returnee), which is not possible at this age. Further to say why should I be held responsible for no fault of mine. RTA should have informed the details of dispatch(ie speed post dispatch no, date of dispatch, address of the post office) just at the time of dispatch so that tracking could have been done.Otherwise also RTA should now have sent the statement of post office that the said certificate have been delivered to me or otherwise their should be a statement from the said post office to RTA for the certificate undelivered to the addressee which will prove that I have not received the same.
Under such above circumstances you are requested to allow me a simpler way out to get the duplicate bonus Certificate. Thanks
