[Resolved]  Karvy — demat account balances not in sync with actual purchases

Hi,

This is one of the multiple issues that i am trying to resolve with karvy.

After few months of migrating to karvy, i noticed that my demat holdings are not reflecting the actual purchase even after days of delivery. I raised a query to identify what the issue was.

And as usual, i got responses like please finds your holdings report attached, or we are trying to call you etc.

As indicated, the concern was that my demat holdings were not reflecting my actual delivery. And finally after months of follow up i came to understand that my shares (That i purchased and even after months of delivery) was in something called a pool account and the same will be transferred to me. I still do not understand why my shares should be somewhere other than my demat account.

Secondly, i had received a message from one of the karvy employees indicating zerodha uses other investors shares to fund their large investors, the message is attached for reference.

And the most irritating part is that even after all this, i still have unmaching demat holding vs actual holding. The biggest trouble in all this is if i miss to track my purchase in an excel sheet on a daily basis, then karvy might be tricking me, as i do not know what my actual holdings is, as the online portal of karvy almost always shows figures that are inconsistent.

Attached screenshots of 26th july 2018, to show the inconsistency.

As of now, i do not want any calls, but i still require a consistent demat holdings with respect to my actual holdings. And a online website which shows my futures positions correctly.

Note that in the statement screenshot of 14th sep 2018, eicher and gujarat mineral is not even there. And the number of shares of cochin shipyard is 100, while the other screenshot will show when the 500 shares were purchased.
