KDMC — major health risk! forcing people to crowd together! blatant disregard of coronavirus instructions!

Respected authorities and Residents of Dombivli!

I am a resident of Dombivli, living at the aforementioned address: Om Sai Dutta Prasad Building, Behind Raghunath Dhago Mhatre School, Near Ram Mandir, Dombivli - West. For the past one month a group of males have undertaken a building cleaning exercise to be done every week on Sunday.

Our building is one where we have a common corridor on every floor. They are forcing everyone to take part in this building cleaning exercise, even children and senior citizens. Majority of the people don't wear masks and don't follow social distancing norms. In fact everyone is forced to crowd together to clean the building.

While cleaning, everyone's bodies touch each other. Cleaning in this hot weather makes everyone sweat and I see everyone touching their eyes and mouth. With coronavirus cases rising fast in Dombivli, I believe this is a serious risk which can have repercussions throughout Dombivli.

This cleaning exercise is a fertile ground for immuno-compromised age groups like children and elderly people to contract coronavirus. I am very much concerned and scared about the health risks facing my family, and the residents of this building.

I request you to take immediate action against the secretary of the building and his group for sanctioning and conducting such an illegal and unlawful exercise which show blatant disregard to the instructions given by the authorities... before it’s too late.

I have sent this complaint to the SI, ACP and DCP of KDMC, the KDMC Commissioner, our Corporator, and the Mayor of KDMC. This concerns not only my family or the residents of my building, but it is a danger for all citizens of Dombivli as well. So if the authorities don't help us, I request any concerned Dombivlikar to help us. Please help us!
