Request for Structural Audit of Society Buildings – Follow-up on 2021 Email

Dear Commissioner,

I am writing to follow up on my previous email dated 2021 regarding the structural audit of all residential buildings in our society. Unfortunately, no action has been taken on this matter to date.

As per Clause No. 77 of the revised Co-operative Housing Society regulations, it is mandatory to conduct a structural audit:

Once every five years for buildings aged between 15 and 30 years
Once every three years for buildings older than 30 years
This issue has been consistently raised during our Annual General Meetings over the past three years, and each time it was resolved that the audit would be conducted. However, the committee has yet to initiate the process.

I urge your office to take appropriate steps to ensure compliance with the statutory requirements and safeguard the structural integrity of our buildings.
