Kesco — Regarding Prepaid Meter

We got a new meter connection last year in March 2021 (Genus Prepaid Meter, Load = 3 kw) for the apartment (A2-6/95 KDA Residencies, O -Block Kidwai Nagar, Kanpur).

1.) We have recharged that meter couple of times in a span of 1 year (total
= 6500/- till date). First time recharged for 1500/- which lasted around 3
to 4 months, second time for 1000/- and the balance displaying as 350/-
only, lastly 4000/- recharge within a month in January' 2022 But now on
April 27, 2022 Negative balance is displaying.

2.) Since, no one has lived in that apartment till date, My question here is
how the balance in meter is always exhausted & that too it's showing
negative.

3.) What are the fixed charges and tariff rates for this prepaid connection ?
As its impossible to know about the consumption history from the
KESCO website.

4.) This type of meter has a very hectic way of doing the recharges,
everytime for the recharge you've to approach the meter in order to
generate the ABC code and then you have to visit to the KESCO billing
centre in order to recharge for x amount you want to, then again the
codes are generated which you have to enter back in the meter for
completing the recharge process.
For doing that above process you have to be very fast and precise,
which is impossible for the elderly people living in the apartment and
coming downstairs in the basement section to access the meter and
connect it with that white box which comes with the meter.

5.) My humble request to the KESCO department, please provide us with
some better solution for the above issue, as no one in our KDA
residency society has this kind of prepaid meter which we have, other
owners can recharge their prepaid meter remotely which seems a very
easy option.

6.) If no solution is possible with this kind of prepaid meter, then I'll be
really grateful towards the KESCO dept. If they provide us with some
method/ process we can opt to replace this meter with some other
kind, for which doing recharges is hassle free.
