High house rents is a major concern. The landlords and brokers are increasing the amount without any control. Government isn't doing anything about you and we are suffering. Owners are charging 45 to 50k for a 2bhk and 65k to 1lakh+ for a 3bhk and on top of that 10 month rent as deposit and brokerage of 1 month rent. These people aren't even willing to negotiate, as a result of which middle class people are suffering.
I've been staying in this apartment for 4 years and now the current owner wants to increase the rent as per Bangalore standards. House hunting is so tedious and disheartening. The owners and brokers are under the impression that if we can't pay such high rent then we aren't worth living in a decent apartment.
