WHEN I INSTALL ANY O/S EXCEPT WINDOWS 7.THEN AFTER A WHILE IT GIVES AN ERROR MESSAGE THAT "a problem has been detected and windows has been shut down.to prevent damage to your comuter.if this is the first time you have seen this stop error screen,restart your computer.if this screen appers again follow these steps:-check for viruses on your computer.remove any newly installed hard drivers or hard drive controlers.check your harddrive to make sure it is properly configured and terminated.run CHKDSK /F to check for harddrive corruption,and then restart your computer.

    i purchased a lenovo laptop, MODEL- G550 ,S/N - CBQ1112022 on 17.12.09 from kolkata. after few months a black spot arrived on the corner of screen . i took it to lenovo service center "COMPUTER EXCHANGE" , park street, kolkata on 28th may . i got the case id no. [protected] . i was told that it would take some time for the parts to arrive. but i didnt get any kind of response after that . whenever i called they told that they are not responsible for the delay .moreover they didnt take any initiative to solve my problem . so its my request , plz take some serious step against that service center ..

      Lenovo — harddrive problem

      i bought lenovo y 410, 7757 92 q , laptop and i got hard drive problem , when i complain they only replace the drive and problem occuring again and again when i told this to them they are not doing any thing , i want a new laptop or permanent solution , the last date of warrenty is 24th jan 2010, pls do somthing ..
      yes its not just lenovo its windows 7 and vista the so call recovery disc dose not bring everything back and i got all the warrenties in the world but its not fix as they will not send me a cofig hard drive and i will not send my compter to texas to have a hard drive put into the slot when it was microsoft downloads that crash a microsoft product i see why he the riches man in u.s. i going back to the best windows ever made xp i nopt a kid who games i email my kids and buy off internet do need much and if it crash it will go back from the disc all infro as bought at store nomore as u can see i can spell so why do i need high tech or a computer just to buy and mail dont care anymore i been rip off as all of you will be to when the warrenties are gone as it will take a year to get the hard drive back to its store shape i cant ipgrade my own harddrive unless i a geek bye mircosoft and up urs Bill

      Today when I put my lap for charging it is not able to charge, I tried the charge for other charger for other lap its working means for my lap only it is not working, please solve my problem as fast as you can.

        The mail below was sent to IBM lenovo consumer support on 25.09.2010.Still now I have not received any reply from this consumer support.Please provide help me help regarding the same.


        Sir,

        I had been having problems with my LAN card from the last 3-4 weeks in my lenovo 3000 G430 notebook (s/n:EB[protected].I had given this notebook in Lenovo Service Centre, 88A Sarat Bose Road,Kolkata on 3rd September,2010.I was told that there were some problems regarding my lan card driver and reinstalling them would it.I was given a time of 2-3 days for the diagnosis.But the unfortunately the time exceeded the given time limit and I was told that the drivers could not be installed due to some problems in my motherboard.
        After making repeating attempts to contact them, they finally told me on the day before yesterday(23rd September) that my motherboard is seriously affected and needs to be changed.I received my notebook today(25th September) from them and found it in a really bad state.They said that while testing my motherboard it crashed.They said the problem was very serious and they need a lot of time for it(they said there is no guarantee of it getting diagnosed ) to get diagnosed.They were making repeated attempts to convince me to change the motherboard.I collected my notebook feeling agitated of same remarks made by them from the past 3 weeks.I fear some hardware parts are removed from my notebook as I hear some sort of cracking sound while lifting the LCD display screen.My motherboard has been mishandled and it has been severely damaged by them because when I submitted the machine to them it had no problems other than the problem regarding the LAN card.It had no problems in booting or any other major sector and now the notebook is not even starting.I am UNABLE to boot it.

          have Lenovo Y410 for couple of 1.5 years now and never experienced this problem. I have tried searching for the same problem on the support site and was not able to find any, therefore I am describing the problem here thinking someone might be able to help.

          Problem: When I try to turn on my notebook , in the LCD i observed 2 nos red line just bottom of screen & 1nos Just 20CM on Above.
          What I have Tried so far:

          1. I have tried charging the battery for 24 hours straight but the problem still appears.

          2. I have tried removing the battery & clean all area and turn on the notebook and no improvement.



          Any Help/Comments/Tips would be appreciated,

            I have purchased the lenovo g550-2958g8q (Product ID:00359-OEM[protected] from Reliance Hypermart limited faridabad (store code:6047) on 9th august 2010.cash memo no. S06047 R025.
            we were told by the dealer that the Macfee antivirus is life time is free with the product which is sold to us. the antivirus services which was provided along with the product ended in a month.
            It shows that the dealer misguided us.
            The MRP of the product which mention on the box is Rs -37,190(inclusive of all Taxes)while we were charged Rs-38,489.we were charged Rs 1299/- were excess charged.This is a cheating to the customer and bad name to world famous merchant Reliance Hypermart limited.
            Please let us know what action can be taken in this regard.kindly do for the needfull at the earliest

                Hello Sir,
                I bought Lenovo Laptop Serial number (EB[protected] and Model number (G4304152C2Q) from unique infoways (P) Ltd, New Delhi on 1/8/2009. I were using my laptop but it shows some problem it its screen and in keypad. I asked Lenovo people to give me service for its repair on 20/7/2010. They said your Laptop is out of warranty which is supposed to end on 31/7/2010.
                So, I mailed to high authority of Lenovo and they updated my warranty status. They gave me complaint number for the repair and assigned a Service centre in Osian building, Nehru place.

                Its Brijesh here. My Laptop screen and keypad has some impairment and i got the complaint number for problem addressable from your customer care centre. I registered with assigned service center of Lenovo and they asked me that they will contact me upon arrival of laptop LCD for replacement. Unfortunately my phone was not working at that time when service center people trying to contact me. They mailed but on wrong mail Id. The copy of the mail sent by them is copied below.
                So, you are requested to give instructions to your people regarding same to repair my Laptop as soon as possible and give me new complaint number. I am right now in Delhi and have to go back to Kanpur for my studies on 24th aug and i dont have much time for waiting.
                So, please reply me as soon as you get my mail.

                Service center people registered complaint and said they will contact me upon arrival of new screen. They did not even keep the laptop with them. When screen arrived at their center, they mailed at wrong email id of mine. They write wrong spelling, so I could not get the mail.

                According to their policy, if customer does not respond within two days, they cancel their complaint. So, after someday I asked them for repair, they refused to do so as they said complaint is cancelled now. You talk to customer care, either get new complaint number or new warranty package. I talked to customer care, they replied they can not do anything in this matter. Better talk to higher authority. I mailed them but they suggested me to but new warranty package.

                Lenovo Laptop — warranty expire

                Dear sir,
                i have parchaged one lenovo laptop from ezone koramangala bangalore. i bought this laptop on 23rd june 2009. now this laptop has found some problem within one mounth and i had complain it to company
                but company rufusing me to give the service saying that this is one year old prodect and thay canot give any service. in this regard i have complain to e zone but thay have not taking any thing serious.

                Lenovo — Delay in repairs/service

                My name is Anupam Chowdhury. Would like to bring to your notice, how
                dis-saisfied I am with Lenovo's after sales service. Case no for reference is
                L9B900F1. This fiasco started on 9th Nov 09, when suddenly the display
                went off, later it was identified that LCD has gone faulty. I fail to
                understand how can LCD of NEW laptop can go faulty within 3 months.
                This forced me to believe that part used, are of inferior quality.

                I was advised by customer care deptt that LCD will be replaced
                within 3 to 5 days however, the saga is still not over. Later I have
                been advised that LCD is not in stock and I will get my Laptop back on
                26th Nov. Now this is something I can not accept from a World class
                company. Neither technical support deptt nor authorized
                service station has done something to expedite the repairs. On 24th Nov when I called customer care, I was informed that the part was shipped to wrong City. I have still not received my Laptop back. The worst customer service I have ever seen.

                lenovo india ltd./ laptop — laptop has not been given service under warranty..

                I have a lenovo laptop..with warrenty end date[protected]...i went to the service station to repair it..they refused to take it and told me to register it first..i called the customer service desk and they told me your warrenty is already expired..and it was not possible coz I am having a bill with warrenty expire date on..
                since then the lenovo india's cutomer service is flicking me around make me fool and not helping me...simply they are cheating on me...by not giving me warrenty service...i want to sue them...
                please sue the company..so that i can have my laptop repair..
                I have also faced the same issue with my LENOVO laptop. Lenovo`s service suck. I don't understand why these guys save on warranty and service. They do not deserve to be a laptop manufacturer when they cannot provide a proper service.
                Please never ever buy lenovo products in INDIA. Frustrated of these service issues, i had to dump my in warranty laptop and buy a new one.

                I know my laptop dates are out of warranty period. But this time-out is not because of me but is a result of way of working of your staff and service providers. I am not supposed to buy any warranty service instead you are supposed to give me new complaing Id for my laptop repair.
                My laptop warranty dates went out of period because your people wrote a mail to incorrect mail id.. And this is not a way that they will cancel the complaint if we are not responding to them back within two days.
                I again ask you to give me complaint id for laptop repair otherwise i have to sort to other means. And dont give me mental agony. Ok.

                Lenovo — No proper assistance from support center

                Dear Sir / Madam,
                I have purchased a Lenovo Z 570 Ideapad(serial no.WB[protected] around fifteen days back from abroad,as I was installing MS office and photoshop,my windows got corrupted in the process,I called Lenovo technical support,who told me few drivers to install,I followed the instructions,but my problem didn't get solved,I called the support center 4-5 times after that ,but only couple of times they tried to help me,as few times they kept my phone on hold,or the call gets disconnected..etc.etc...Then when I made a call again,the technical support person listen to me and told me to install few drivers again,but the result was same again,this person had also given me the e mail Id ([protected]@in.ibm.com),to post him the outcome of drivers installation...I mailed him twice saying it didn't work out..but didn't get any response from him...If lenovo can't give assistance to its customer,why do they claim to get an award for customer assistance ....Please send an engineer to my house to resolved this problem in my machine .

                            I've owned my Lenovo Y510 about 3 years and I've had to send it for repair several times for the same problem. The hinge becomes very loose no matter how careful you open and close the screen and it will not stay up-right. My laptop was covered by the extended warranty, but now the hinge has failed again and it isn't under warranty. This is a common problem with the Idea Pad Y510 and it seems that Lenovo hasn't tried to solve the hinge problem on this model.

                              I had purchased a Lenovo Laptop on 8th Aug 2009 from Caddons In Koromangala Bangalore. My Laptop adaptor/ charger failed to function and I went to Caddons on 7th Aug 2010 for rectification/ replacement. I was put on a technical support no. where I was told that the Sr. No. given in the bill was not valid. I had to rush home in Banglaore traffic and I gave them the Sr. no. they wanted. Now excuse no. 2 started. They said the warranty had expired on 1st Aug 2010 so they cannot take complaint. I forced them and got an interface ID as he said he cannot give a Case ID. OK whatever. Now a turn. Then they said there is no senior whom I can talk as it was already late. OK. Now what? Now you have to write a mail to Warranty deptt. and get the warranty corrected. So now they are playing `Office office' with me. Make me run from one desk to another. I did even that. Then I got a mail saying see the website after 2-3 days. 6 days passed in this running. Now they have given again the same help line nos. where I started to go if I have any problem. Did I run to get their records corrected? Now they know by my bill that I was right and the part failed during warranty. But they made me run and till now even after a week no response of the actual problem. i.e, rectification/ replacement of Laptop adaptor/ charger.

                                i had purchased lenovo ideapad S10-3 for Rs 17000/= on 30/07/2010 from M/s Advanced computer mall pitam pura , delhi , after installing windows 7 and all the drivers supplied with the enclosed cd the wifi was not working . i made complaints through e-mail to there support centre but the solution provided was of no good. on internet numerous similar complaints about this model are there still lenovo is selling them in india and cheating Indian people because off weak consumer protection laws ...i also feel cheated now they want me to take this netbook to their service centre .. please help

                                  I bought a new Lenovo laptop on July 4th 2010. On purchase itself the laptop was defective. I gave the defective piece to Lenovo Service center and after 20 days they tell me that it cannot be repaired. The lenovo warranty team is unavailable.                                     We purchased one Lenovo LAPTOP G450 from Computer Heart located at GS Road, Guwahati , Assam on 22/07/2010. The billed price is not matching with the price written in the packet. without informing us, the shopkeeper has taken more price Rs. 300+. The free offered antivirus is also of expired version. When asked about it, the shop keeper told it as the carry bag price. But the carry bag is listed in the offered gift list and is mentioned in the bill also.

                                        I had purchased a Lenovo N100 Laptop from Mumbai. From day one, i had realized that there was some problem with the HDD which showed excess filling up. For example there were only 2-3GB files but the HDD was almost full(30GB). and i could not copy new files on the HDD.
                                        I had logged a complaint with Lenovo, who told me it was a Windows problem. Now who is responsible for that? They gave me the Original Windows.
                                        I had stopped pursuing the problem but soon my laptop gave me all sorts of problems. I was told that my motherboard had conked off.I paid 15k to repair that from Lenovo service, but still the laptop doesnt work.
                                        Please tell me, who is responsible for that?
