I purchased a laptop lenovo Y-500 series in march last year.
1-2 months later,I faced a problem related to the ms-dos version of turbo-c.
It started some of the time but didnt many of the times.
I consulted the owner from where I took laptop.
He solved the problem,but this time the size of the window after opening of the software got reduced.

Then,after few weeks I faced problem related to speakers.
I sent the laptop to lenovo service centre n dey solved the problem but installed windows xp professional edition in addition to home edition..
But now I m not able to install many of the softwares in it that have been installed successfully on others'
laptop...
Also I m facing problems regarding the starting up of oracle-9i services i.e.TNS listener and agent which
I was able to start easily previously..
what should I do now????????

Everyone which have lenovo is unhappy by performance.I have lenovo y500 model, purchased 22 november. hard disc crashed after two months, but service centre changed hard disc in two months. but now speakers are damaged and hard disc is also crashed. what its solution.
hi, i purchased a lenovo y5oo laptop in sept. 2008. and i got that my speaker is getting damage within 3 month but at that time my lap was is in warranty period so they changed my speaker but after some month my cd drive nd speaker got another damage ...now my laptop is out of warranty .so, i am helpless now.plz help me...

    1.bluetooth is not working-talked at customer care center new delhi,but complaint was not registered.

    2.problem in speakers,giving cracking sound while playing them.

    3.cd drive not working properly as it doesnt reads any cd

    i showed to service center at patna.above mentioned problem seen by them.

      I bought a Lenovo Y-500 Series Laptop (Product Model: 77611AQ & Serial No. MA5DLOP) on 13th Jan. 2007 from Lucknow.

      After 2 months of purchase I started facing technical problems in my laptop from time to time.

      Around April 2007, there developed a problem in the laptop speakers. The problem was corrected by R.T.Outsourcing,Lucknow 2-3 times I approached them. However I could not get the service report as the printer at R.T.Outsourcing was not working.

      On 28th May, 2007 again I faced the similar problem in the speakers. I contacted R.T.Outsourcing, New Delhi this time. (Case Id: [protected]). The problem was resolved on the same day.

      On 8th December, 2007 again I faced the similar problem in the speakers. This time I was directed to Aforeserve, Nehru Place, New Delhi (Case Id: [protected]). The problem was resolved on 14th December.

      On 3rd Jan,2008 again I faced the similar problem in the speakers & also there developed a problem in the Audio Jack of the laptop. (Case Id: [protected]). The problem was resolved on 7th Jan, 2008.

      And now after one week there developed a problem in the charging system of the laptop.

      I have bought a Lenovo laptop in March 2007. The machine type is 7761-4AQ and the serial no is MA-5T8CP. It worked almost fine till December 2007. Problem started from January last year and the CD/DVD drive stopped functioning. IN 2008, they have replaced the DVD drive (ODD) 5 times!!. Every time they replace it, it work for 2 months and then it started malfunctiong. Simply it could not recognize any media. I have following Len care since last july for this(case id[protected]th Oct 2008), case id SK3929 (17th July 2008) - but they are very very rude and totally non-cooperative. They are admitting that there might be issues with this model - but they are providing any solution for this. I have already renewed my warranty last year and the offering # is 12X6169 & the Authorization # is 12X169M1GS. Last monthly I got a mail from a Len care execute. Her name is Anita Shahi(anita.[protected]@lenovowarranty.co.in). I have never seen or talked such a rude, arrogant, bad-mannered customer care execute. She simply does not know how to speck with a customer. She told me that your warranty has expired and we could not do any thing. Don't know how could she said that - when I have already extended my warranty. More over, she told me that, Lenovo has replaced the drive free of cost once for customer satisfaction. I don't how does she mean that. When I told that I have extended the warranty, she simply hangs up. After that I have not any response. I don't know how come these people can get away with this behavior. Is there anybody who could he help me to resolve my problem - this DVD drive is simply making my mad.. Is Lenovo management listening. I have mailed the Len care so many times – but they are not simply responding!..

      I had visited to your service station which is located at J.O.P PLAZA SECTOR-18 3rd FLOR. NOIDA named INGRAM MICRO. Sinces last four month the day when note book SCREEN LOCK get infected (flap problem loose from laft side and gap) .

      Hope some one will come forward to solve my problems

      Lenovo Y Series laptop — gifts promised have not been received as yet

      I had purchased a y series laptop in October 2008. I was supposed to receive a fast track watch and a reliance data card. I have got the watch but I am still waiting for the data card. I have not taken any other internet connection because of this and am still waiting. The contact number you had provided is always busy, so I am not able to contact you ([protected]/[protected]). my code is RED[protected].
      Please send the data card latest by the end of this month. I require an internet connection urgently and I am waiting for that. do respond on my email provided.

      I bought a lenovo Y-510 series laptop (product model[protected]Q and serial no. ME-15025) on date-- 23 june 2008 at 7:26:03 pm (i have attached copy of invoice with this mail)
      from S.A.Infosys, plot no.-6, 1st floor, sahid nagar, Bhubaneswar, Orissa.

      From the very 1st day (i.e. 23 june 2008)at 9:00pm when i reached home happily with my new laptop, unfortunately i discovered that my laptops DVD-ROM is not functioning, not
      reading or writing any type of cd/dvd.So i called the Dealer at pnone no.[protected], they told me to come tomorrow with laptop.
      I went with my laptop at 3:00 pm, and he told it was minor problem and he returned on same day.

      But my problem was not yet over.I had a new series of problems were waiting for me.
      After using my laptop for 15 days i started to face driver problems such as volume controll key stopped working, touch pad stopped working, key board was not working.
      So i called customer care and they told me to formate my laptop and reload the OS and driver.But after doing that i had still same problem.
      so, finally they(customer care) gave me a complain no.--[protected] and told me to submit my laptop at lenovo service centre at bhubaneswar(Wizer tech, gopabandhu sqr.bbsr).


      I submitted my laptop on16/10/2008 to the above mentioned office, they kept it for 1 month.after 1 month they called me to collect the laptop as it is repaird.
      but when i went there, my laptop was in same condition as it was before.then i checked my laptop there only at service centre, not even a single problem was solved.
      Then they told me to submit my laptop for more 2 days.
      but i denied, and came back with my defective laptop.
      some how i managed it with that persisting problem.


      Again after 20 days, i discoverd that my laptop hinge case has started producing cracking sound, and i was not able to open the lid of laptop.later on i found that i was cracked.
      I called again C.Care on 5th jan.2009, they gave me CASE no.--L915005Q, and told me to submitt my laptop.
      After one and half month that is on 26/02/2009 collecetd my laptop.

      Now after two days i.e. on 28/02/2009 i found that my wi-fi is not working, there is very low data trasnfer, internet surfing is very very slow.
      And on 1/3/2009 i found that my DVD-ROM switch is not working.not able to eject my dvd.
      I called C.Care on 2/3/2009, they gave me a new case no. L932005R, and told to submit the laptop to service centre.

      Now i am fed up with this laptop, it is not possible for to go to service centre very frequently since i am a MBBS student, it is not possible to miss my classes .
      I have called to C.Care many a times, but never got satisfactory results.

      I have decided to complain a case against LENOVO INDIA LTD at consumer court, i have all the documents and proof with me.


      NOW, i realized that my 50, 0000 rs went into dustbin, and i have done a great great mistake by chosing lenovo laptop for my studies.
      i dont want to see this laptop again in my study table this LAPTOP is a DUPLICATE CHINESE LAPTOP.
      plz do me a favour, plz send me a address where i can send my DEFECTIVE laptop back, get my LAPTOP replaced with a ORIGINAL LENOVO LAPTOP.


      kindly do look into my matter, i cant manage it anymore,

      sir.i bought a laptop, 1 yr back approx..ita model is 776147Q and serial no is MA6g8wr..sir last 7months back i replaced..my hard disk..due to problem in warranty.complaint.complaint no [protected]. and i gave my lenovo recovery cd to coustomer care in Hyderabad. ...which i got when i purchased.and they replaced it...but that time i dint check mine recovry cd..when they return.now mine is out off warranty..now when i format it buy that cd..my system is warning me that cd is missing some file and corrupted..so mine cd when i gave to customer care..they have replaced..it un intentionally..with corrupted..
      soo i request u to give me genunie recovery cd..now..plz solve it

      Generally lenovo model 3000 Y500 series are having problem associated with Volume & DVD drive. It is not tolerate. whatever efforts you have taken to correct is going to vain.

      Lenovo — miss behaviour of service center employees

      i have recently purchased a protection from lenovo on 6th june, 2009.They said i will get it last within 20 days which i don't so i called them.
      There behaviour was really bad and unbelievable.when i object the agreed to return money but is returning money is the solution to their misbehaviour.
      i have bought a lenovo Yseries laptop and they are not giving the onam offer they advertised in the newspaper. ihave bought this in the onamoffer period
      my lenovo laptop has problem but i resister & there is no result why.my mob no-[protected]

      not starting properly

      my pc not working properly ; it starts very late and sounds also comes from speaker when in not use also and shut down not properly

        I was purchased Lenovo y500 series notebook 2 months back. And i have send all requesting Documents for Lenovo bigloot offer. But still not any response should given from their side. And I had still not get my free gifts. Phillips headphone & Speakers. Shuld i get it ?

        My Lenovo Y[protected]Q series is having a problem in CD DVD Rw , my notebook is is just 5- months older. it is making so much of noise after inserting dvd or CD And also not reading CD,s just show blank on the drive, i take all the precaution of thr drive but it is not working properly.

          Respected Sir/Madam,

          I've purchased a Lenove 3000 N100 0768 HCQ Model laptop bearing Sl. No.L3-LW791 MFG Dt: 07/05 from M/s Newwave Computing Pvt. Ltd. vide bill no. BGL-0359/PSG/2007-08 dt: 5 July 07 .

          Afterwhich i have given my laptop for repairing for almost 6-7 times and have been constantly following up with them for the rectification of the problem. My USB Drive intermetentaly stops working. On speaking to them, they always say that leave your laptop with us for 2 days and we will correct it, but it has never happend and now they say that they are awaiting for the new parts to come.

          The laptop is still in warranty and now i seriously feel that it has to be replaced rather then just running around the service centre to get it repaired.

          Pls. look into the matter and try to resolve this issue.

          i bought a thinkpad R61 at Dubai just a couple of weeks back... i bought the a thinkpad because it was supposed to be a robust, rugged machine. but i find that the cover doesn't fit when i close it..the hand rest on the right side is creaky..i am quite irritated by the tacky finish to this machine...not to mention that there is dead pixel which the lenovo warranty does not cover beacause to my dismay i only found out quite late that they do not follow a zero dead pixel policy...

          i am not sure if lenovo will do something about this very slip-shod finish to the body of the laptop but here is to inform the unwary that lenovo has completely destroyed the image of the thinkpad as being a reliable and robust machine...

          I, Vishal Khajuria bought a lenovo Notebook(3000 N100 Series) - 076885Q
          from New Delhi in Jan 2007, However the product was below my expectations
          as this Notebook was not performing well, I had a number of problems in this, The battery of this Notebook was faulted in the month of October 2007
          and when i placed a complaint in New Delhi Service center I was told that there is no warranty for the battery, and after few weeks the sound system of the same
          was not available thru the speakers and I had to use Headphones If I need to hear from the Laptop
          I had to rush down to Netherlands in Urgency in December 2007 And I did not buy the battery and neither I could get the sound system of TP repaired
          As I could not afford the time,

          Could you please advise me How much the new battery is going to cost me and where can I buy the same as I cannot trust any Lenovo dealer.

          Lenovo/laptop — Faulty Machine

          I purchased a Lenovo Y-Series Laptop last year in the month of February, which was having a problem of getting hanged while charger was plugged, since the time of purchase. I notified them about the same, but the service engineer present their said that it is normal functioning.
          Only After one month of the purchase, the motherboard got replaced for the above said issue.
          And, when I checked my Laptop, some of the keys were not working properly, for which they took another two weeks to get it changed.
          All in all there were inherent problems with the machine and finally they accepted it and dicided to replace the machine in total. For which I gave the machine to them on November 19, 2007. But till now all they claim is that it is in progress.
          Sometimes it is at the compan's end and sometimes it is the dealer.

          My purpose of purchasing this machine was that i needed it for my higher studies as i am persuing a MBA cource.
          Now, i had managed this huge sum of money for purchasing this laptop from my meagre salary, only with a view that i needed it for my studies but i seems to me that my entire effort has gone down the drains as i could not enjoy the comfort which i expected from this laptop from day 1 of its purchase itself.
          further i am suffering loss of studies and loss of oppertunities.
          and after paying the full amount of the machine, i could not enjoy it for even 1 day and the market rates have declined.
          1) i seek a full refund of money i had paid for this machine.
          2) i seek compensation for the discomfort i am facing without the machine.
          3) i seek compensation for the mentol agany i am undergoing.
          4) i seek compensation for the loss of studies i am facing.
          5) i seek compensation for the loss of other oppertunities i am facing.
          6) I Seek benefit of interest for my money being used by the company to earn profits for themseslves.

          further i feel that the company and its dealers/ distributors should be adequately punished for there malpractises and indifferent behaviour towars a costumer who has paid the full amount for a product he has purchased.
          they should be made to understand that it is only the consumers who are making contributions towards there salary and they have to respect this fact.

            I have purchased worlds best laptop, the think pad model no 2049-33Q , on 12.12.07 through Adi Computers,Secunderabad. I got this for Rs.24,700. On switching the laptop for the first time , I observed a dot (1-pixel) [i.e one LCD is not burning properly] on the laptop . Immediately after tracing the defect , I took the laptop to the retailer M/S Adi Computers for further service.They contacted the service department and stated that "There should be four" dots / pixel problems /LCD problems for replacement of laptop .But it was not mentioned in any information supplied and warranty conditions. I am in little bit frustration and feeling very sorry for the reaction from the company and finally brought this to the consumer forum.

              This is the story of hightech cheating by a computer dealer at Navi Mumbai. I bought a Levono Laptop 3000 N100 A35 model - one year back from Biometric Compters, Airoli, Navi Mumbai for Rs. 50500. The problem with the laptop is the less battery backup. After one year - just completing the warranty period a representative from the same dealer called me for the servicing of the laptop. I given the laptop for repairing with Rs. 500 as charges for inspection. When I called the representative Mr. Harshad Dalvi for the status of the laptop, he topld me to spent Rs. 16000 for repairing. I told him not to repair and return the laptop. The next day onwards he started bargaining from Rs. 4000 to Rs.12000, because he is interested to take back the system. Again I told to return the system. On the same night ke called me and informed that the LCD of the laptop is cracked. I want to see the laptop and he called me to come to the Airoli shop. I went there and then he told me that the laptop is stolen. He discussed with his boss Mr. Krishna Upadhay and the boss on phone offered me Rs.10000 as penalty. I want atleat the 50% of the laptop cost. Now they are not ready to pay any penalty and asking me to file the case against cheating. Police called Mr. Harshad at Rabale Police station and he told the Inspector to contact Mr. Krishna. Now Mr Krishna is not rachable as he is out of Mumbai for New Year celebrations.
              Please don't go and purcahse from Biometric Computers. I also request the Lenovo India not to cancel the dealership.

              VERY POOR SERVICE IN SERVICE CENTER CHANDIGARH NO RESPONSE ANS PART NOT AVALABLE IN CENTER CALL TO CALL CENTER
              Even I also had the same incident here with BIometric Laptolp Repairing Server (Harshad Dalvi).
              I gave my laptop to repair and he first told it will cost me around 12K then he become ready to repair in 2000 rupees.
              MY laptop was in a working condition before I gave to them but when I got my laptop back it was not working and laptop become totally useless.
              And they did not take any owner ship of that.
              And to take my laptop back, it took more than 1 month asking them 100 times asking my laptop to give me back.
              Please don't go and purcahse from Biometric Computers.

                I purchased a lenovo 3000N laptop in October 2006 . One vacation pack on scratch card No. LN100714D has been won by me. They have confirmed through Email dated 19.10.2006 , that gift of vacaton package will be mailed out to me at my address by 20th November 2006 .Since then there is no communication from the company received by me , even after so many reminder sent through Email as well as letter to the Company at their Bangalore office.

                I feel sorry to purchase a productfrom such a giant company , who do not care for the customer and their greivances.

                You are completely right. I have one lenovo 3000 H series desktop. This company doesn't know the meaning of Customer Care. And if your warranty is over then the amount of money they charge you is unbelievable. Buying a product from lenovo is not a pleasure but a burden.

                I have given my laptop for servicing ( my ODD was creating a problem ) to Hitech Informatics Pvt Ltd on 28th Nov.I contacted the toll free customer care number and even the service centre and they assured that I would get it back by 5th Dec.On 4th Dec I made a call to the service centre telling them that tomorrow I am dropping by to collect my laptop.They confirmed on that.Today morning ( 5th Dec ) when I went to the service centre, they told me that its not yet done.And I would get the same on Tuesday.They had my number.They did not even bother to let me know that its not done.I had to travel so much as well take leave from office to collect it.All in vain.LENOVO SERVICE CENTRE SUCKS !!!

                You are completely right. I have g series laptop. This company doesn't know the meaning of Customer Care.there was a gift offer but didn't receive & no body responding . Buying a product from lenovo is not a pleasure but a burden.

I purchased a laptop in october 2008 and was supposed to receive gifts( a fast track watch and a reliance data card) I received the watch very late but have still not received the data card.                 hi dear my name is neeraj kumar & i purchased a laptop on 9, march, 09.model no is y430, at that time there was a scheme pay simply 2999 Rs.as a DD.& after clearance of that.i'll recieve a BLACKBERRY MOBILE model no. 8700 V.within 45 day's...on 30 march, 09, has been cleared..& recieved 3 mail, s reguading DD clearance..bt still people r telling me that they don, t have stoke of that model..& no dody telling me when will i get my gift...
                I purchased a Lenovo PC from your authorized dealer sometime in December 2008. By end September 2008 the system started giving problems and I therefore lodged a complaint on 07.10 2008 which was immediately attended but the problem continued.
                Between October 2008 and April 2009 several visits have been made by your service engineers but the problem has not been resolved. Before and after every visit, on advice from these service engineers, I had to call my soft ware engineer for formatting, transfer of datas, reloading, loading of windows etc. as on a few occasions the hard disc had to be taken away by them for investigations causing me un-necessary expenses for no fault of mine.
                By April I was fed up with experimentations by your service engineers and instead preferred to hand over the problem to my soft ware engineer who has resolved the problem, which has again caused me additional expenditure.
                Surprisingly, the matter when briefed to Mr. Sudhir Putran, Director, Service and Support has not even been acknowledged and responded. It does not speak well of an organization of the repute of LENOVO.

                I am facing a problem that my laptop has no UPS back up. Then I contacted the service centre at Calicut- the Redington, P.T.Usha Raod, 4th Railway Gate, Calicut – 673002 many times. Every time they are telling that one IC is damaged, it will be corrected soonly. Then they gave me back the laptop without repaire and asked me to come back after one month. Now this is the fifth month and it is not repaired so far. And my laptop is still there in the Redington at present. I am suffering physically financially because of that.

                i m agree with above complaints. This Company lenovo doing fraud work at all places. I purchased a laptop for my senior Deputy Commandant Amar Singh Narwal, posted in 49 Battalion Border Security Force from BIT, Siliguri, Near Pani Tanki More in Diwali time. We Choose two gift items -Relaince Data Card and a Watch but Company give a Pen Drive instead of Reliance Data Card.

                I purchased lenovo laptop Y510 69Q in Aug 08.Problems noticed as under:-
                i) Service provider in Lucknow clarified that JAVA and other programming languages does not run in window vista as such they loaded Window-XP and charged Rs. 300/- for the same and at the same time task manager was disabled which could not enabled by the service provider.
                ii) Hinge movement blocked and complaint was logged, though the bottom case has ben changed at Guwahati service centre but in hurry the bluetooth device and audio connection was not connected as such theese functions are not working. Touch sensitive pannel has also not fitted properly and elevated at junction which may damage to screen.The service centre at Guwahati has assured to rectify the complaints. I hope for good service at this time.
                I purchased a lenovo last month and within 20 days the motherboard and the touchpad failed. after contacting the service centre in park street, computer exchage in kolkata they said that they will replace the parts in 2 days. its been 10 days now and still i am sitting with this non functional laptop. I also used hp dell previously but never had such issues. truly... i will never ever buy or recommend lenovo to anyone in future.

                This is to bring your kind notice that the note book purchased by from Reliance Mart on 15.08.09 with licenced version of "Wndow vista Basic".
                After using the note book for ten days, I encounter problem in opening of Internet explorer.The note book was given to Reliance Mall for a check & resolution of problem.The problem was resolved but pirated version of "Window Vista Home basic N" was loaded, by which all the factory set functions are not working.

                Presently the warning is comming as 2days to active, Active window now, but the window is not getting activated on line.After that window is loaded but I dony know the authencity of same.

                Surprise note that after 20days of loading window is not booting,

                1) After 6 moths from purchased, DVD RW is not working.
                2) After some days from purchased, MS-Office is not working.
                3) IIS server is not able to configurable becuase Vista Home Premium is not supporting.

                    I am Varun Kumar contact no [protected].I updated warranty for my laptop Y510 series from lenevo service centre chennai.I got my registration form service centre chennai.i contacted from lenevo technical support for my complain number but they suggested me to send my scanned copy of registration form and purchase bill to following email addresses:

                    I send those scanned copies to the above email addresses on 14 august 2010.But still i did not get any confirmation mail about my laptop warranty and complain number from these above email addresses, then i contacted again to lenovo technical customer support then he suggeested me to send scanned coppy of warranty registration form to [protected]@in.ibm.com and he told me he will call me on my mobile.I send him those scanned copies on 18 august 2010 but again i did not get any response from them.
                    on 1st september 2010 i contacted from lenovo technical customer support then they gave me another email address, so i sent again my scanned copies (warranty registration form and purchase bill) to [protected]@lenovoreg.com on the same date 1st sep 2010 but still i didnot get any confirmation mail or reply.so please try to solve my problem(warranty updation) as soon as possible.

                      i buy a new laptop of lenovo company at the day when i bring the laptop i saw a dot on its screen after 2 days i consult to the respective shop from where i purchase it but they dint bother about it thet said its nothing and we cant do any thing abt. it so i requested there so many times but they dint listen i wasted so much of my money now then they said that go to the service centre they can help then i gone there they also said cant do anything abt. it now at last wasting my money a have no reolution so now i am thinking that i will have to go to consumer court .....

                        i purchased a lenovo y[protected]q laeptop in feb 2007.
                        it has got a no. of problems after 5 months o[censored]sage.
                        i got it rectified 3 times and the concerned enggineer of lenovo center replaced the hard drive
                        but it got the same problem after 10 days

                        Lenovo Laptops have DVD Writer Problem. In my lenovo laptop which I purchased in Sept, 2007 in India, the DVD Writer is unable to read DVD's written by save DVD writer on same laptop for the last 1& 1/2 months. Since I am out of India I am unabable to go to service centres of Lenovo & in a few days my warranty will also be over. As I will be going to India in Oct, 2008, I have the expectatation that Lenovo will not care for my laptop problem.

                        I have read on read on Forum Lenovo that more than 50% users of lenovo laptops have the same problem & lenovo has not been able to solve the problems. Some of the customer have got replacement of DVD writer in the warranty period but that also worked for around 6 months only. Some have spent Rs 5000/- for new purchase they are also not satisfied.

                        If HDD goes bad & DVD Writer does not accept CD / DVD there will not be any solution but to throw the laptop in dustbin. As there is no USB Booting possible in the laptop. User's can't boot from a pendrive or a secondary Hard Disk.

                        If some one replaces HDD, He can't boot from any source.
                        I’m a student, ……… i purchased a lenovo y[protected]AQ laptop in April 2007. up to one year there was no problem...but as soon as warranty period got over….., suddenly it’s DVD writer stops working and it is not able to read any CD……, my two other friends got lenovo laptop at same time….they r also suffering with same problem ……. I think there is some fault with the lenovo products.
                        Now we r not recommending lenovo to anybody….any student in Indian institute of science, Bangalore.
                        There is no any update available for the DVD writer at lenovo website…..

                        Same Problem : DVD can't read or write. Tried all websites and panasonic website as the dvd is of panasonic uj-85 js but all in vein. Nobody not even lenovo people cared about. They are rather happy as they can sell there new accessory for about Rs 14000/- whish is availabl abroad approx. for Rs. 35 - 50 dollors.
                        Dear Sir/Madam,

                        Last year in November I bought this Y500 notebook with serial no. EBO6582129. After 5 -6 months the problem with the dvd slot in drive began as it was not able to detect any data on 90% of cds and dvds which I put in.

                        I contacted service guys and the problem was rectified after changing the dvd drive. During my three visits to the Nehru place service centre in the last one year (first for dvd drive replacement, second for travel adapter replacement and third for the mother board replacement) I must have seen atleast hundreds of consumers having the same problem with the DVD slot in drive.

                        Now again none of the cds or dvds can be accessed from my system due to low grade product used in your system. Kindly tell me what should I do for this persistent problem with this slot in drive.

                        Can it be changed to a tray type dvd drive or I have to get it replaced every 6 months as per my personal experiences.

                        Moreover I guess that the product service has been expired some days back(which I am not fully sure of whether it has expired or not), in case it got expired what should I do to extend the service warranty.

                        Kindly look into the matter and give me a permanent solution for this dvd slot in drive. As in the last one year I had to go to the service centre thrice and I never expected these kind of low grade or not reliable parts from Lenovo.

                        Lenovo Laptop — OS not booting in one month itself

                        Hi,

                        This is Ravi from Bangalore India. I got one 4152C8Q model on 4th Oct 2009. It is not even a month since i purchased it. When I got my laptop C drive was showing space used up 70 GB. While I went inside the C drive and did Ctrl A and properties with hidden files shown as option it shows around 40 GB. So 40 GB of memory was not accountable. It is not definitely factory default partition also as that is separate 15 GB I can in disk Management. I went to store and that guy told me to take the backup of OS in 2 DVDs and then format it. I tried but it did not work. It asked me for 6 DVDs to make bakeup!! So definitely there was some option. I thought of doing factory restore but it also failed as i had resized my C drive as per the instruction of store people only before!! Now my system is not booting up in either normal mode or recovery Mode. I have taken extended warranty also for 2 years.


                        At the same time what is the meaning of giving 200 GB in 250 GB HDD as C drive when a person cannot resize it!!

                        They calim that they do not give OS warranty but the problem is from the beginning itself. I got a laptop with more memory used. I tried taking backup which did not work as instructed by store person. I tried taking factory default which also did not work beacuse i had re-sized it to have additional drive as instructed by store person.


                        Now they are asking me to pay 1500 Rs for the same. I am feeling cheated now. They provided me a bad OS and asking me to pay also for that!!

                        I too have a similar issue. Lenevo is saying that they cannot give the free service as I complained after the warrently period. I didnt realise the issue as it was only for some DVD's but later it would not detect any of the DVD's. I wasted the whole lot of DVD's while burning on them.

                        I bought it in Gurgaon .
                        Let me know where we can complain collectively.
                        They are turning a deaf ear to our issues. I literally paid about 58k for the laptop .

                          I bought a lenovo laptop on 18th july in the box of which a TV tuner connector was missing. I firstly talked to the dealer(Care office pvt ltd, Navrangpura,Ahmedabad) who always misguided me and told me that he had been talking to lenovo about the absence of connector in the box, and then when nothing happened I directly talked to Lenovo customer care which did nothing for me. Kindly help me in raising my voice against the injustice done to me.
