Lenovo — Lenovo a6000 motherboard issue after update
Had received an OTA update on the 2nd week of september 2016, the update was successful without any problem. On the very next day the display went off while answering a call, the call was disconnected and phone started heating up all of a sudden, power button was not helping hence i was forced to remove the battery, tried taking it to the service centre, they tried reinstalling the software but failed, said the motherboard needs to be replaced and will cost me Rs.6100 including service charge as i was out of warranty a month ago, well i bought the phone for Rs.6000 and have to pay more than that to get the board replaced. Now when i power up the device the Lenovo logo screen is flickering after that the display goes off, can also hear the music after complete boot up. The phone had no issues till the update, well the company is responsible for the the failure should not have provided update that was not stable, and they are taking advantage of it by looting customers whose warranty is out. I met many customers with similar issues after update. Lenovo after sale service has let me down. Those who are thinking of buying this or any other lenovo phone, its not just a6000 owners thats suffering. Do not buy lenovo phones ! Was this information helpful?
