Lenovo — smartphone after sales service | |||
I had submitted my smart-phone to lenovo authorized service centre in guwahati netsol associate on 3rd july. The technician provided a quick feedback on my product and told me that they will have to inspect the phone and will be calling me next day to inform about the repairing charges. I will have to pay the inspection charges of rs.200/- in case i would not get it repaired after inspection. I agreed and they provided me the attached receipt. On not getting any feedback from them, i visited the centre after 2 days but they said it will take longer time and they will be informing me. On 7th july, someone from the centre called up and said that the charges for repairing will be rs.11, 000/-. I was shocked as the cost of my phone is rs. 7, 000/- only. I told him to check again but he said that it will be rs.11, 000/- only. I told him to provide me a proforma on the next day when i visit the centre. He agreed. Next day when i visited the centre, they told me that giving proforma or estimate is not allowed which again was a shock for me and they said they are charging as per company pricelist. They refused to show me the pricelist even. I fail to understand if these are the standard charges as per pricelist, there should be no issue in sharing the pricelist. Finally, they agreed to write it on the receipt (Attached) and told me i can take a snap only and cannot carry it with me. Finally, i paid them rs.200/- and took my phone back but again they were not agreeing to provide a receipt to me. They cited the reason that due to gst the receipt cannot be given. They wrote rs.200/- on a loose sheet and told me they could give me that only. This was too much and i refused to accept it to which they said i can get proper receipt after one month only without giving any proper reasoning. They said if you want a receipt, then give back the phone and take it after 1 month. My phone has been detained by them and i am unable to use it. I have requested lenovo over mail to revert with the repairing charges and provide me an explanation as to how for a phone worth 7, 000/- repairing charges can be 11, 000/-. But they are deviating from the issue and have written back to me as follows: Dear ankit, Greetings from lenovo. We regret to inform you that, we further discussed with our management team based on update from them we would not be able to process for discount on repair cost, request you to confirm us on the same to avail the service on chargeable basis.
