Hello. This is a complaint in relation to the inept functionality of the Lenovo A600 Plus that I had purchased a few months back when it was first launched in India. I had purchased the phone for my mother via flipkart. However, after just a month o[censored]se which by no means can be termed extensive considering that my mother hardly uses it for a few basic purposes, the phone started becoming unresponsive.
1. The touch screen was not working smoothly.
2. A few digits could not be dialed through the dial pad.
3. And the back button had completely stopped functioning.
The above inadequacies have rendered the phone almost useless since the above mentioned functions are key to most if not all operations. After searching for Lenovo service centers in our home town Guwahati, we came across one which had vouched to be an authorized service center and assured us that the problem in all likelihood was with the touch screen and a new substitute would be ordered from Lenovo in the shortest duration. However, to our utter shock it has been over a month and they still say that the new touch screen hasn't arrived.
We are utterly disappointed with the product quality as well as the post purchase services of Lenovo. It is a utter shame that within 3 months of purchase of which 2 months have been basically useless the phone has failed to serve its purpose.
Not to mention the inherent difficulties that my mother has had to encounter because of its inefficacy.
Hence, I would request Lenovo to kindly look into the matter with utmost sincerity and take the necessary steps, whether it be substituting the phone for a new one(since I am not sure if simply changing the screen would ensure the phone does not have any other problems) or providing a new touch screen whichever ensures that the phone gets fixed and would not suffer from a similar fate in the future.
