My LG microwave had little issue with its timer and it was randomly stopping during heating hence I registered a complaint with LG (RNP[protected] and one engineer Nikhar Singh came on 13th Nov 22 (Sunday) and told me that the PCB and 2 multi plugs are not working properly and changing them will cost Rs 1800 including service charge however arranging PCB will take around 6-7 days as it is out of stock. I agreed and he left.
Surprising, I got a call from another engineer on Monday (14th Nov 22) by the name Sumit Kohlli who said that parts have got arranged as he wants to come to fix my microwave..he told me that these parts were ordered for some other customer but as they would like to help me first hence he wants to come and repair my microwave. I told him that I will have weekly off on Saturday (19th Nov, 22) hence requested him to come on the same day.
The engineer arrived on 19th Nov 22 and in spite of being aware that he had to replace the PCB and 2 multi plugs came without PCB and said that he is going out to arrange the same from service center. He left to arrange the PCB and after coming back in 45 min he said that the charges will be Rs 2250 through the parts replaced were exactly the same. When I protested for difference in amount as the parts getting replaced were just the same, he offered me a 'special discount' and reduced the overall expenditure to Rs 1875 and I agreed and got the PCB and 2 multi plugs replaced.
Next day when i started the microwave on 20th Nov 22 though the microwave started but the magnetron stopped working and the microwave stopped heating.
Seems a faulty PCB has been installed in my microwave which corrupted the magnetron and now it has stopped heating without any fault of mine.
Seems a fraud as been done to me by putting faulty PCB board which corrupted my magnetron. Please resolve it else I will take it up legally in the court.
I will write on various social media platforms if my genuine complaint is not addressed immediately.
