Complaint
I had purchased the refrigerator Model No. GLM393YPJX on 04.05.2014. From the 4th day itself, I have been complaining about the insufficient cooling. Representatives of the company did come to attend the problem but they couldn’t rectify it. One Mr. Gurvinder, conceded that the refrigerator had some fault; he took the photograph of the refrigerator and freezer and assured that it would be replaced within 15 days. However, as even after a lapse of almost a month since, I didn’t hear any news, I was constrained to lodge a complaint again.
Your representative Mr. Jayant came on 25.07.2014; but he declared that there was no problem with the fridge and there was a problem regarding ventilation of my kitchen. I found the reasoning specious as my house is on the three side open corner plot and my kitchen is quite big. In fact, my previous fridge installed at the same place
for last ten years, always gave the desired cooling. Mr. Jayant suggested that I should wait for the next season till May, 2015 so that the fault could be justified. On his suggestion, I made a request in writing to increase the
guarantee period which otherwise expires on 4.05.2015. He took a photograph of the request and emailed it as a complaint to the company with copy to me.
In addition to the abovementioned unresolved problem, the fridge has now developed another peculiar problem. A strange grunting sound emanates from the fridge at random which is perhaps due a fault in the fan or pipes. Pursuant to my complaint on 2.01.2015 vide RNA no.[protected] with one Mr. Shakeel, one Mr. Yogesh came and suggested that I may record the sound. I accordingly recorded the sound and called him at his mobile no. [protected] but he didn’t respond. In fact he repeatedly cut my call. Therefore, on 9.01.2015 I lodged another complaint no. RNA[protected] with one Mr. Kaushik. Mr. Sunil came on 11.01.2015; he performed some
operation on the fan. He promised that he would call after five days to confirm if the problem persisted. As he didn’t call up after five days and the problem continued, I lodged another complaint no. RNA[protected] on 16.01.2015 with one Mr. Ravi. Mr. Sunil came and requested that the recorded sound may be forwarded to his senior manager which was duly done through ‘Blue tooth’.
It is deplorable engineers of an international company like LG are incompetent to rectify problems and your company executives unable to solve consumer’s problems. Are the unaddressed complaints not taken note of by your company?
In this scenario, I think only Consumer Court would address my complaints.
