We had purchased a LG refrigerator model # GL- D402JPZL/2015 with 10 years warranty on Inverter Compressor.
In April 2022, after 7 years, the refrigerator stopped cooling, since it was out of the 5 year warranty period, i called a local engineer, who filled gas and still after a few days it stopped cooling.
Hence I got in touch with the LG company directly who send their representative and said it was a compressor problem and that it needs to be replaced.
He also informed that since I had called an outside engineer to fill the gas, my warranty on the compressor is not valid. Even after telling him that my compressor was not repaired or touched, he still insisted that I have to pay for a new compressor.
I will have to pay the full amount of ₹ 7000 to replace the compressor officially.
I would like to know from the company is this your stated policy.
