Hello Team,

I, Abhishek Golatkar, Resident of Mumbai, taken a LIC policy and issued a cheque dated 11/07/2018 favoring LIC.

The last due date to pay the premium was 7th Aug 2018.I had issued and submitted the check to the LIC branch office on 11 th July, due to some error the cheque has got cancelled. And my bank has sent an acknowledgement of the same to the (IDBI Bank) LIC on 13th July 2018.Once I get the call from my bank, I had aproched the LIC branch where I paid the premium and informed them regarding the same, I wanted to do the re-payment of the same but they told me that the CD status of your policy has not been updated, it will get updated when we will get the cancled cheque from our bank ( LIC IDBI ).It was happned on 14 th of july. After that i have re-visited the branch more than five times but still they are stating the same thing that we did not get any confirmation from our bank.
My bank has sent an acknowledgement on 13 th july and today it is 8 th august.

I dont understand the reason why it is taking so longer??Even the branch office staff is not responding to the situation at their best.

Why they did not contact to the bank to resolve the problem?

Today i again re-visited the office and ask them to raise a complaint to their bank and get it reolve asap, the staf told me that today we are busy in inspection so we will do it tomorrow.

Is that a way to answer your customers??
They should attend us on priority.

Below I am mentioning all the details regarding the policy, however I am not liable to pay the late fee as the negligence and delay has been happen from your branch and your Bank as 23 days has been taken by your bank and branch to resolve the issue and still it has not resolved as well as they are not willing to do the same.

Please check and do let me know the procedure to avoid the late fee for the same.

Regards,
Abhishek

Please check the below Image.I am escalating from the last two weeks. But still not get any response after following all the level one to level 3 escalation.

Why the hell they have given the escalation matrix?

Below are their statements on their web portal, but no one of them have the courtesy to reply after so many escalations.

"Turn Around Time (TAT) :The TAT turnaround time for acknowledgement of complaint is 3 days and for resolution of complaint is 15 days from date of receipt of the complaint.Escalation Levels:Level 1 : Manager (CRM) at Divisional office (click here attached file is in Excel Format for details)Level 2 :The Regional Manager (CRM) at Zonal office (click here attached file is in Excel Format for details)Level 3 :The Executive Director (CRM) at Central office(click here attached file is in Excel Format for details)Kindly note that if your complaint is not redressed satisfactorily at the lower level office, you may approach the next level as per the escalation matrix given above."

Dear Madam/Sir,

To,
The Senior Branch Manager,
LIC Of India, Branch 921

This is in reference to the mail sent by my son, Manu George from email ID [protected]@gmail.com regarding Gratuity payment to me.
My Husband V.J.George was working with LIC as an agent (Agency Code[protected].

Mail subject being - Payment of Gratuity under agency code: 82524921 of Late Mr. V.J.George dated 25th June 2021.
Since then my son has innumerable times forwarded the mail to different LIC authorities with no reverts at all.
Recently when I had sent a person to enquire at LIC 921 branch Fort, they said that the Email has to come from my side. I am not keeping well and alone in Kerala, due to which I couldn't send the email myself and had asked my son to do it for me. Also my health doesn't permit me to travel alone to Mumbai.

Since you haven't replied to my mail dated 25th Juneand several reminders thereafter (last mail sent on 7th June 2023), I have recently sent a person to your office to get the details of payment of gratuity of my late husband Shri V J George, agency code No: 82524921

I am the Nominee under the policy.

Your Employee at the Enquiry counter has told my person that the E mails sent by my son are not acceptable. It has to come from the registered email. The registered email is of my late husband. Do you mean to say that my late husband has to send you mail to provide the details?

The first question is whether the email sent by the son of the Nominee is valid or not?

Is it not in the culture of LIC just to reply to the email and several reminders thereof regarding an important issue
⁉️

You could have atleast replied to my son's email saying that his email communication is invalid and it has to come from the registered email id which is of the dead person.

I never created a mail id in my name as all the communications on my behalf are handled by my son.

Since your concerned Employee was adamant who said the request has to come from the registered email, I have now created my own mail id and then sent this request to you to kindly send me the entire details as under:
1)The amount of gratuity paid.
2) Date of payment.
3) Name of the bank and account number wherein the amount was credited.

It is quite unfortunate that this is the manner in which you treat the Nominee's of your Agents once they cease to exist!

If I don't receive a reply from you within 15 days from today, I will take up the issue with Higher Authorities.

Yours in Protest,

Salomy George
(Nominee of the Deceased Agent Shri V.J.George, code No:[protected]
