Lis Deepasthambham Project — LIS Deepasthambham/Jyothis - public cheating case

Address: Palakkad, Kerala

I have invested Rs.31, 2500 in Lis deepastambam project in March 2006 under my wife's name. As promised by their office, I should have had received the invested amount by double within two years period. But till now I haven't get paid any portion of the invested money. This is my hard-earned money and like me many poor people have lost their money in this project. As most of the victims are common people of daily wages earners and as a matter of public interest, our medias should re-look into this matter and bring this case again in government"s notice to settle the unending case in the honorable court and save us! As we are witnessing these days many financial companies are doing illegal money transactions by cheating the common people/the public are being arrested to stop such fraudulent activities and safeguard the interest of the investors/the public. I have contacted their office in Thrissur and Cochin on countless time, but all the time I got the same answer that there is no fund available to disburse and as soon as any fund is available their will return my invested amount. This has been hearing right from 2008 and it has been 8 years, still they are repeating this stupid & senseless reply to the investors. If any progressive feedback can be provided on this issue, I would be very grateful to the medias and to the government of kerala. Babu Pathiyangattil, email: [protected]@gmail.com

I am also in a similar situation and waiting for the decision of the courts. I was told that if the court allows them to sell of the land they have bought with the money they will be able to refund the money. I also heard that since their account is frozen by the court they cannot repay the investors. I think the court should de freeze the accounts of LIS and make them repay the investors > Also a court can force them to sell their properties so that the investors money can be reimbursed to them. Also there is no feedback from the courts or LIS as to what the present position of the case is so that investors don't lose all hope

Hi, recently while going through some documents of my late father, i found a receipt for deposit of Rs 40, 000 towards 32 units under the Deepasthambham Project. My father passed away in 2009 and I had no idea about this.
Is there some way I can pursue this?
The LIS MD Mr Kuriyachan Chacko is still enjoying in fancy cars with with hard earned money for others.
