MagicBricks — Paid for premium package but not activated, no customer support

I hope no one goes to magic bricks to sell property, there are better and cheaper options.

i posted an ad on magicbricks, assuming that there would be better responses compared to free sites. after posting the ad, i was informed that very few people are seeing the ad, and was told to upgrade to a paid plan. paid 3691 on june 6 2025 for their titanium package. till june 17th the plan was not activated.

it needs to be noted that magicbricks no longer accepts email queries. on writing to [protected]@ i was told to try their 24/7 chatbot. tried the chatbot and was told that no executive was available, and the chat closed automatically! EVEN IF YOU ARE LOGGED IN, to use the chatbot you have to enter the phone and OTP all over again!!
after trying the chatbot 2-3 times, where the bot was utterly useless and annoyingly closed the chat after what it deemed to be the final answer, it tried the phone numberl.

ANY COMPANY THAT DIRECTS CUSTOMERS TO PHONE CALLS IS TO BE SUSPECTED AS PHONE CALLS ARE HARDER TO RECORD AND PRESENT AS EVIDENCE.

ON the call I was informed that the 3691 had been received!! so even 11 days later they were not interested to inform me, nor activate the plan, nor issue a receipt. The person told me that he would activate the plan, if I opened up the app and followed his instructions.
The person also informed that the plan was only for commercial properties (i had posted a residential property), though there was no such difference mentioned at the time of placing the order.
It seemed like a scam to me, and so I asked for a refund. The person disconnected the call saying that I would get a call from another department.

Overall, magicbricks doesnt seem to be a legit operation. for all the tricks that it employs to take money from customers, it doesnt deliver, since I didnt get any reply to my ads there, while i got 4 replies on the free sites.
ofcourse, they make it harder to post ads as well, for example, screenshots are not accepted!! no such issues with free sites.

so why bother with this crap?
