The average bill received throughout last year is not even crossing 600 rs.
However, bill received for june month is 6 times higher than what we usually get, there were no backlogs!
Being said that the bill provided is for 3 months with reading on meter minus the amount paid for the month of april and may as the meter was not able to read.
But on checking meter readings, i observed the data given in bill do not match, in fact the meter has not even crossed the readings mentioned in our bill.
In the quarantine period there was no need to increase the tariff, add additional fixed rates and make this senseless calculations.
Considering increased tariff and additional rate amount, out bill could maximum reach to 1000/- from 600/-, out of which half of the amount has been already paid on monthly basis, this leads to outstanding amount to maximum[protected]/- adding to june month's bill, can go up to 2000.
Such basic calculations, and board is fooling around consumers for 15k and 17k electricity bills!
Why are we supposed to pay for such scam/fraud?

    We have received huge bill of rs7670.00 for the month of june. During lockdown i have paid the bills given by mseb through my credit card company twice and by me once through google pay.
    Exactl rs.3500 is paid by to the mseb during last three bills.
    Even though they have given us a huge amount of bill to me.
    Kindly help.

      I have already paid march, april & may 2020 month bill within time.
      Msedcl has sent june 2020 month bill & in bill included all three month bill which have already paid by me.
      Requesting you correct the same on priority & send my actual bill.

        For the month of june, the electricity bill was charged huge about 6200/- which is extremely high for our flat as normally it varies from 1900/- to 2000/- and it's really difficult to pay such a huge amount for 1 month even when we are not using any additional appliances.

        Requesting electricity board team to come and verify the billing unit as soon as possible and check the same and rectify it.

          In current situation of covid 19, where we are facing problem of fund issue, we are not receiving our full salary from offices. We need to run our lively hood with such challenges. We were expecting government will help us so that we can fight in such a situation.

          But the situation is just the opposite. The government don't want to help us instead of that they want to earn from us for their losses.

          We received the electricity bill for the month of june 2020 amount we received it 3000 which is more than 10 times higher as compared to last 1-year electricity bill.
          I have already paid online amount for the lock down period. (Mar2020-june2020).
          For your reference please find below the last 6 month bill amount

            Jun 2020 bill is extraordinary high & it does not show the april payment reduction

            The bill has not deducted the payment of 3, 560.00 made on 23-apr-20.

            When i saw the calculations o[censored]nits 1179. Why 1026 units have been charged with new tariff? And 153 have been charged with old tarrif?
            Why there is raise in tariff from 0.4 to 2.7 and the per unit rate is also increased in each slab?

            Please deduct the previous payment of 3, 560.00 made on 23-apr-20 and provide reduction in increased tariff.

                  I am jayprakash narsing ankaskar, my one room kitchen flat is at hingle mala mhada complex hadapsar pune. Same flat is given on rent. Since nov 2019 my flat/room is vacated by my previous rent holder. Till today flat/room is vacant, nobody came for rent. From that time i am paying minimum energy bill (As received by msecdl by considering consumption of 0 units) regularly upto march 2020.
                  But after implementation of lock down due to covid 19 meter reading is not being taken and average 60 units are considered and forwarded engergy bill every month till today which is not correct.
                  Therefore it is kindly requested that please forward correct energy by considering consumption of 0 units at the earliest.

                      I have been residing at spaghetti chs, building no. L3/25 since last 1 year on rent. As i am an on time payee of electricity bills, i have checked an confirmed that i never got a bill more than 1600 (Max) and 450 (Minimum) in a 1bhk flat with just 3 fans and 3 tubelights.

                      This time i have got a bill of 18000. Please check and help. How i can pay?. This is complete unfaithful and unlawful.

                        We have paid bill for every month on time in this covid situation because you and your staff get payment on time and will help the needy.
                        But now this bill is making fraud to your department. You can check from my bill that my unit is not more that 282 unit which is in june 2019 but this time we are at our native place (Up) in apr and may. I don't understand how you are calculating as we are paying an average bill of rs1000 since lockdown and before.

                        What about bills i have paid for mar, apr, may, jun

                            I am your consumer having consumer no[protected]. I have received an inflated bill for june 2020 for rs 16, 060/-. I am giving below the consumption of my electricity since april 2019.

                            From the above you can see that the maximum consumption is 324 units. We are also both retired pensioners and are at home throughout the day since over a year.

                            After i have received your intimation for payment of the bill i have checked my daily usage, and it is between 6 -8 units per day. Your latest bill shows reading as of 20/06/2020 as 11576 units and when i checked on 27/06/2020 the meter reading was showing as 11632 units, ie 56 units in 7 days, which come to 240 units for 30 days. Even if you calculate 240*3 mths for apr, may and june the total comes to 720units, whereas you have charged me for 1653 units.

                            Sir, i therefore request your kindselves to please correct the bill and send me the corrected bill for payment as soon as possible.

                              1. My complaint pertains to non adjustment of payment made in may-june 20 in the june 20 bill. Details are given below:-
                              (A) number o[censored]nits as on 17 april 20 (Reflected in bill and picture also shared on app)= 9440
                              (B) number o[censored]nits as on 15 june 20 (As per bill & site visit)= 10421
                              (C) difference between (A) & (B) = 981 units (For entire lockdown period)
                              (D) charged during lockdown period = 293 (May bill) + 981 (June bill)=1274 units — paid extra rs 5140/- during may itself as per flat rate / as per pattern since no meter reading was taken. This amount is not adjusted in june bill which still shows 981 units which is actually for entire lockdown period.
                              (E) june 20 bill amount = rs 8010/-

                              2. Based on the breakup as explained above, you are requested to please adjust this exces paid rs 5140/- in next bill.

                                I have already paid bills as per below information
                                Please check records and remove excessive amount from the bill of month june2020 which is 2030 rs. And give me finale amount so i can pay immediately.

                                Paid bills are as follows
                                April 2020, paid 330 on 20th april 2020
                                May 2020, paid 550 on 28th may 2020

                                I know this is very difficult time for all o[censored]s but i hope you understand the pandamic has also affected economy of every person, the false amount in the bills needs to be removed.

                                  This is regarding the steep rise in electricity bill. I am shocked to find out my bill as 5930 rs. I have never come across such a loot of electricity money. How is this possible that i have such a high bill. When i did'nt even switch on the ac during this time. It seems the electricity checker has just put up some figure which he feels is his fancy. You can check my electricity bills during all months its never more than 1000 rs average, then how come i have such a bill.

                                  I strongly protest against such a loot. As it is i am out of job and find it difficult to pay house rent on top of it you are sending such an atrocious bill which is unacceptable.

                                  I want a reply to this as to why this has happened and a reduction in the bill to my average bill which i was being charged else i will be taking you to court along with the kharghar association backing me.

                                      This is with regards to the over billing that "Mahavitaran" - Bharat billpay - Consumer no# is[protected] Santosh K Nair - I had been using my electricity very sensibly over many months on months and never exceeded my bill more than around Rs.2600 in worst case (you can check the record very well). However, l feel that there is absolutely a loot which is happening by taking the undue advantage of the lockdown by MSEB company. This is really absurd and ridiculous this time that my electricity bill this time is hiking up to Rs. 6330/- which is unbelievable and unethical business practice of robing the customers in the name of Lockdown.

                                      However, I would really like to understand why my bill this time is very high and making absolutely no sense to me and I don't understand this number of Rs. 6330/-. There are number of customers everywhere who are affected and are paying 3 to 4 times as to what they where paying. May I request to please investigate the issue on very high priority as this is really blasting my hard earned monies please.
