Mahadiscom / Mseb / Msedcl — electricity bill incorrect charging | |||
I am an NRI who bought a new flat in Vasind, Shahahpur - Thane district and ever since the electricity connection has started they have been billing me for 67 units every month for more than a year now. I used electricity only in November that too for a day or two, other than that the flat has been unoccupied. Even the meter itself reflects the same. However they have continued to bill at 67 units a month (not more or less !) every month. I have complained several times on their app, but they just keep closing the complaint without any resolution. I have also found out they have done this too all of the other flat owners in the site and they are all disputing their bills. I have complained today on this site as I got an email from the builder saying that MSEDCL have informed them if I dont pay the full amount outstanding by the due date they will take away they electricity connection ! To avoid this problem ( as you all know how hard it is to get an electricity connection in India due to corrupt behaviours at their govt offices) I have paid the bill in full today. Now I want them to adjust the bill accordingly and refund my account with the money that they are not entitled too. The government of India should take note also of this issue as they are trying very hard to attract NRI's to invest in India and boos the economy. But if they do not sort out their government services and the problems they give to the public they are going to continue to find it hard to improve their reputation.
