My name shazad, live in 1bhk residential flat with my wife (Both working)

Sub: concern on incorrect charged electric bill (Apr to aug-17)
Complained in national consumer helpline. Complain number: 422303
Grievance has been registered in pgprtl portal: registration number is govmh/e/2017/02344

Issue:

Concerns: issue raised multiple times to mseb pcmc (Thergaon office) contact person: girase madam-[protected], inappropriate response from the incharge officer

1: after several requests, the meter testing was in process, they just disconnected our meter without informing us and then i was forced to pay 11210/- to get the meter connected back on 24th jun

2: post which we constantly followed up on it, the old meter was replaced with a new meter.in the meantime we now received another bill with 31, 150/-. While we went to report it, this lady girase says the meter looks fine and they will not do anything about it.
Am surprised to see the response, we are a two member family both out for work entire week how can we consume 30000/- plus costing units?

3: finally now they agreed to do a meter test for the 2nd time of the same old meter, which according to them is ok. The meseb team is not ready to agree to the fact that the meter is faulty and we should be getting a wave off, or we should be rightly charged basis our past records.

After all the pain we took to rectify the issue, now the we get a final answer from the mseb team saying “meter ok” and we need to pay 32, 230/- including the late fees for all this while.

This is really sad to know our govt employee instead of sorting/helping us with our concerns they only show tantrums and rude to resolve or help us. Need your urgent attention to this issue.

We are working employees and cannot leave our offices to physically go multiple times to these offices which keep shifting many times in a year.

Awaiting a response on what needs to be action is required on this. Hoping that while we raise this issue, our meter will not get disconnected again by the mseb team. Kindly make a note of our concerns.
