Mahadiscom / MSEB / MSEDCL — Showing extra bill

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing this email to formally raise a complaint regarding the unjustified charges and incorrect information I have been receiving from MSEDCL’s customer care.
1. Unnecessary Charges: My latest bill includes “security deposit” charges, for which no clear explanation or calculation has been provided. I have called your customer care multiple times and spoken with 3 staff members, including one named Prajakta, but I received incorrect and incomplete information repeatedly.
2. Late Payment Issue: I receive my salary on the 30th of every month, and despite paying promptly after receiving my salary, I am still being charged late payment fees. This is unreasonable as I am not deliberately delaying payment.
3. Poor Customer Support: Your staff has not been able to explain my bill amount properly or provide a correct resolution.

I request the following:
• A clear breakup of my current bill, including how the security deposit is calculated.
• Waiver or reconsideration of late payment fees due to my fixed salary credit date.
• An assurance that such unnecessary charges and miscommunication will not happen in the future.

If I do not receive a proper resolution within 7 working days, I will be compelled to escalate this complaint to the Internal Grievance Redressal Cell (IGRC), Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum (CGRF), and the Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission (MERC).

Kindly treat this as urgent.
