I find this to be a very cheap act by mahanagar gas ltd

i'm a MGL consumer CA nos =[protected]
My mobile nos is [protected]

You have mentioned in the last bill sent to me that i have consumed 23 SCM
if this is the fact then, this is how the calculation has to be

but you billed me RS 676.00, FYI (i have already paid this amount ).

But you have increased the amount thinking customers are blind and won't check
so this actually is alarming. It truly means that you have been robbing people like me for years now
am i right ?
i will check my past bills and if i find this is a very common practice that MGL is following i will go to the next level .

        Hello Team,

        This is to complain that we have received incorrect billing and wrong units have been charged against our bill dated 24th August 2020 on an Average we used to get 30 to 50 units per month but suddenly in the month of August got the Unit charges of 176 unit and bill amounting to Rs 6341 . We have raised complaints in customer care ample number of times and also sent multiple emails since 28th August but no action is taken and help is provided. We truly believe the charges are incorrectly charged due to lockdown and incorrect amounts have been levied on us instead of charging an average unit and amount.

        Hence we request to look into this matter seriously and help us with reversal on billing amount so as a customer we can pay our actual consumption utility bills..

          I have receved bill of 3 times more than my usual billing of the past 1 year in November 2020. What is the reason for this high bill of Rs.924 against an average bill of 325/- for the last 1 year. Please look into the high bill received for November 2020

                              MGL CA No[protected]. -- the bill for November, 2020 dated 27.11.2020 is received and the same is for Rs.1, 995/- an all time high monthly bill in the last 15 years. The normal billing is around Rs.600. The previous reading taken on 27.9.20 and the two months actual reading is taken on 27.11.20 and the consumption is 68 SCM.

                              I request MGL to immediately look into my consumption pattern in the last so many years and have the meter and pipes checked and rectify the bill.

                                This is to bring to your attention to the matter that my gas bill was issued for Rs3, 540.- for the month of Oct and Nov. 2019.
                                My normal usage of gas is not over the by monthly rate of Rs.1000.-

                                You are requested to recheck the meter reading and advise why the usage is charged in excess of 3 months usage level.

                                Please rectify any mistake happened and credit the excess charge to my account with you.

                                    The average bill for the past several months has been around Rs 400 for two months.
                                    The recent Bill just delivered demands Rs 851

                                    This is double the amount for a two months bill. There are just 2 senior citizens in the house with occasional guests visiting.

                                    Is the meter running fast?

                                    Please get the installation checked and rectify the error if any.

                                      Same usage of gas as for last so many months and years but gas bill is just more than double this time. It is Rs. 3848 which is extremely high for a family of 4 cooking only food as we have aquaguard for drinking water and electric heater for hot water. This is unacceptable and please explain these exorbitantly high charges.

                                        Would like to understand, how can the bill generated are costing high in terms of amounts.

                                        1) Unit - 21 Month - Aug, Amount 622/-
                                        2) Unit - 21 Month - Jun, Amount 622/-
                                        3) Unit - 21 Month - Apr, Amount 643/-

                                        The above are example of months, the current month of Bill for Oct 2020 has amount of Rs 2050 and unpaid dues of previous bill Rs 1255/-. Total amount is Rs 3583/-...

                                        I fail to understand the calculation, and the increase of amounts.

                                        Dear Team,

                                        I understand, bills are raised on bi-monthly basis on actual and if not actual they are raised on assessed consumption.
                                        The Meter obtained during Feb 20 and thereafter there was no reading taken due to pandemic.
                                        Simultaneously the reading was taken at Oct 2020.
                                        As per the below calculation, it state Opening - Closing Units, follow by months, per day / units etc.

                                        Here, I fail to understand how come 8 months has been consider to get per months/ per day/ unit to arrive into calculation.

                                        Customer had paid so far following amounts in Mahanagar Gas.

                                        1) Unit - 21 Month - Aug 2020 Amount 622/- ( Rs 1243) Rs 621 extra.
                                        2) Unit - 21 Month - Jun 2020 Amount 622/-
                                        3) Unit - 21 Month - Apr 2020 Amount 643/- ( Rs 743 already paid ).

                                        4) Rs 1256/- has been already paid, via cheque 000190 drawn on HDFC Bank.

                                        So far Amount has been paid Rs 2621/- or more / less during 6 months of durations.

                                        How come bill for Oct Month would be raise for Rs 2050/-. units usage as per bill 78.

                                        I fail to understand the calculation, and the increase of amounts.

                                        If record can be checked for last year 2019

                                        1) Units - 19 Month - Oct 19 - Rs 603/-
                                        2) Units - 21 Month - Dec19 - Rs 643/-
                                        3) Units - 22 Month - Feb 20 - Rs 673/-

                                        The average billing was always approx Rs 600 to Rs 650/-. Pls Check the above record for example.
