This is regarding the new connection which we have applied in the name of Kishori U Mehta. The application was filled in by the agent of Mahanagar Gas in October 2012. A cheque of Rs.6000/- was handed over to him as application fee and it was promised that the connection would be provided to us within 90 days. The mahanagar Gas is already available in other flats in our Society i.e. Vedant Goregaon Ganesh Co-operative Housing Society, Goregaon (W). The cheque was debited in our account in November 2012. Even after more 120 days, no body at Mahanagar Gas is taking the responsibility to respond as to how much time it will take for the connection. We have been harassed by calling on the customer care and every time a new date of installation is given. What is the use of giving a complaint number when it is not to be solved. Such a pathetic service is being given for providing a new connection. It seems that being a Government organisation, the Company is least bother to cater anyone.

We have continuous called them on their customer care department and we have also emailed them several email but they are least bother to give a exact date of installation nor ready to escalate the issue.

Who are they answerable, why are they answerable, who can question them.

I personally feel that they should only come to office on the day of Salary and that too to collect salary.

The site doesn't have a escalation matrix, no person has the daring to give their email address. No person is available to give a proper reply.

Same issue with me. Is your gas pipeline connection done? Whom did you talk to? Please help if any leads.

Gas line already available in the building. Landlord NOC submitted in March 2013. Got a confirmation email from [protected]@mahanagargas.com saying "As per the feedback received from the concerned department, would like to inform that your work would be done by 15.07.2013". No one turned up on 15th of July in spite of calling again and again. They just kept saying someone would come by evening.
Today on 16.07.2013 when I call the customer care, they are saying due to rains it will be done in September. (In spite of the fact that it's been quite sunny from last 2-3 days).

This is the level of efficiency at Mahanagar Gas and its really sad. If a concerned person is reading this, my request is to please look at this issue at an Urgent basis.

    To bring to your notice, the pathetic attitude of all Mahanagar staff includin customer service, one person I spoke to, named Chandrakant Sharma was worse, he refused to file a official complaint when I was requesting to do so, citing some vague reasons, when I clearly told him, I was on minimum rental plan of Rs 50/- you have sent me a bill of Rs almost 600/- in error! Is this the way staff behaves normally, who makes a customer feel like they are doing a favour each minute, how much harassment do we have to face?

    Even after updating numbers, the calls still go to old numbers! Do you expect to retail or increase customers with such staff?

    No one knows how the reading is taken, who came, no one contacted me, when the gas is not even used, how you can generate such a huge bill & then your staff gives silly excuses to disconnect the call.
    Kindly have a look on urgent basis & revert the bill to minimum rental of Rs 50/- with non usage

      Hello sir,

      We applied for a Gas Connection with Mahanagar Gas Limited on 16th October 2012 at residence address D5/28,D-wing, Greenfield CHS, JVLR, Andheri East Mumbai 400093. The sales representative promised us that the gas connection will be available at our premises within 3 months from the date of registration but till now there is no sign of any MGL representative coming at our premises for any fitting or setup. We have already made a payment of Rs. 6000/- registration fees on the date of registration i.e. 16/10/2012 and we have been assigned a PP number [protected].

      I have been repeatedly following up with MGL from January 2013 on their Helpline Number 61564500. I first called on 2nd January and they promised that some one will visit our premises on 28th January 2013 but it was a false promise as no one came. Then I called them again on 1st Feb 2013 and they promised to send an executive on 8th Feb 2013 but till date there is no sign of any person from MGL visiting us .It has now been more than 3 months and almost 3 week ahead but still we haven't received any formal communication from MGL.

      I am therefore forced to register a consumer complaint against MGL based on the ground that we have not received any service from them despite of our payment done for the services.

      I would request you to please look into this and initiate an appropriate inquiry on this matter.

      mahanagar gas ltd — not getting gas connection feedback from last 3 months

      i amit s more applying for NEW PNG gas connection (mahanagr gas ltd) from last 3 months. I already register for MGL with registration number [protected]. person from their department contact me by mobile for next procedure of cheque and document filling. but he never came to collect it. whenever i called that person he gave me time to come home n collect all document. i always waiting for him in my house by left all my other works but he never came. his name is anil singh mobile number [protected].
      i hope i wil get proper guidence from your department.

        incorrect billing

        My previous bill dated 16/11/2012 showed the meter reading as 69 (A) while the reading was 34!!!
        My current bill dated 16/01/2013 showed the meter reading as 106 while the reading as of 23/01/2013 is 43 as attached the photograph.

        Your tele customer care says that the person MGL came to my house to read the bill and based on
        that the bill has been prepared, in fact no one came to read the meter till now!!!br...

        I want complaint regarding no supply of gas through piped Mahanagar gas ltd.since 14.30 hrs on 13/12/2012. and i dont what time it will start.
        My complaint is that, Mgl has not bothered to inform the consumer regarding why there is no supply of gas or what time it will start.           I reside in N.G.VIEW Chs ltd Society and I have apply for domestic png gas connection to mahanagar gas ltd. But since 6 month there are no connection nor any one response about the connection. The Sales person who collected the check from us nor attending the call. I am feeling cheated by Mgl like Company. This company is working like self styled monopoly group. I am request to MGL Gas ltd. if you are not able to provide service than don't collect any check and need not to expand your business and return our check payment.

            I MR.BHARAT SATRA,is residing in 1504,PRESIDENTIAL TOWERS,OPP "R-CITY" MALL,L.B.S MARG,GHATKOPAR[W],MUMBAI-400086.It has been 12yrs that i was residing there.now i have shifted to 1A,194 kalpataru aura ,L.B.S MARG,GHATOPAR{W},MUMBAI-400086.Its next to presidential towers.since 2008 there is pipeline in presidential towers but we didnt take any connection of gas line as we hav changed our kitchen into study room and bedroom into kitchen.even though we had not installed d pipeline we used to receive the bill of pipeline.we had complained them regarding this but there was no response.and now after 4 yrs by mistakely the bill of presidential towers assuming that is the gas bill of Kalptaru aura where i m residing now.The bill had crossed the amount of Rs8115/- as it was 4yr balance.
            I had mailed Mahanagar gas limited regarding this,and they asked for bank statement i mailed them ,n then they said to mail again about the non installation,i did the needful and now they mailed me back saying u have a credit balance of rs 1022/-please pay it.I have been calling on the helpline no. but every time some other advise was given to me.i m sending u the copies of my bank statement and the mail they sent me.
            I request you to kindly look into the matter and reply me regarding this .so that i can receive my refund.My Email id is - [protected]@yahoo.com

              Hi,
              i really dont know if someone is going to read this but yet, my complaint is towards the Mahanagar Gas Ltd for which i have applied for a new connection in the month of December 2011,til date their is no connection given,
              i have being following up with the customer care since 6 months but whenever i call the customer care they just have to say we have taken down your request you will get a call from us and your work will be done,but it is the same always no one calls up and again i i have to call the customer care, if someone could please help me in getting the new connection it wil be really great,

                Mahanagar gas is severely looting its customers i am extremely fed up of this issue we are just a family of 2 people cook only once a day (as both o[censored]s work & have our second meal away from home at work) our bill has never been more than Rs 200/- at the most but sometime back i had paid more than 4000 Rs,this month i have a bill for Rs 1045 please can someone suggest what do i do with these people,we are a middle class family cannot afford such high bills.i request someone to help,please reply on [protected]@yahoo.com,,,we do not have such high useage.where mahanagar gas can bill us so drastically.my name is nitesh thakkar.please help me.

                  I, Mr.Berwin Dhanjal residing at JB nagar for the past 8 years have been harassed repeatedly by the employees of your company.
                  The previous owners of our flat had subscribed to your gas connection (piped).After we have taken over the flat there has been no usage of your gas. We still prefer using our LPG.
                  Repeatedly, people from mahanagar have arrived to my residence and troubled my family regarding the gas connection because they insist on taking a reading even after I tell them that there is no one using it for 8 years even when i tell them to take the connection out they will no comply.
                  This is really irresponsible that after several complaints made to you personally you yet have failed to oblige to the disconnection of your service in our flat and continue to harass us.

                    I had applied for a Gas connection and paid the required amount but MGL persons refused to install a meter because there is no kitchen (Kitchen is converted in bedroom). There is no gas connection no Meter installed and still I am receiving bills for consumption of gas. On 30th April 2011 I have received a mail from Customercare of MGL saying that the bill was sent by mistake but till today I am getting bills for gas consumption. I have already lodged complains so many times. Atleast 3 times my flat has been checked by MGL person. Now what should I do?

                          We members of parasmani society have paid Rs 6000 each to mahanager gas for PNG connection in the month ofSept. 2010 with assurance fromMGL that connection will be done in 3 months time
                          Till today 24 JAN 2012 we have not received any connection nor any reply fromMGL for reminders we r sending them time to time.

                            I the undersigned am a resident of C-11/6 Godrej Hill Side Colony Pirojshanagar Vikhroli West Mumbai 400079 since May 2008.
                            I was paying my bills regularly under BP [protected] regularly and punctually.

                            All the bills also acknowledge receipts accounted for all the payments made.

                            However from November 2011 my BP number has been suddenly changed to BP [protected]. I have received a bill in November 2011 for...

                            As no bill was received for the last four months from Mahanagar Gas Limited, based on average past consumption I paid Rs,2000 by cheque mentioning my Name, CA No.on reverse of the cheque & submitted in the drop box. Subsequently , the company sent me a bill amounting to Rs.1875 which I paid via SBI net banking. I have not received the acknowledgement for the same. As on date on line bill is showing of outstanding of Rs.1875.

                              waiting for gas pipe connection - till date
                              i have been seeking for gas pipe line since i buyed this flat in this society(bhagwati apt, chincholi phatak, malad west) which has the Mahanagar gas pvt. ltd pipe line and has registered in 2009 for it. till date i have been just getting a new complain no every time for the same. its been high time that i should get connection. i have been facing regular day to day problem because of this. i[censored] want i can provide u with every complain no. i wasted lots of call, time and money for it. will be happy if this can help me out.

                                We have applied and completed all the formalities for Mahanagar Gas connection on 5th June 2011 and being told that the connection will be done within 90 days. Almost all the flats have connections in our building. I am doing continuous follow-ups since past 6 months for connection to happen. I have been given different dates and many false commitments but till now I am clueless about the connection and waiting for them to call for the installation. Wrote many times to [protected]@mahanagargas.com but they reply on their own wish with vague reply.

                                  On 17.12.2010 we have paid Rs.100 yearly membership fee for gas stove service. Till date nobody visited us and on telephonic even after 3 weeks nobody has turned out and the person (lady) attended telephone is telling that they have sent the mechanic and will come tomorrow-today etc.etc.-Jaya Menon, Bldg.                                   The person from mahanagar gas stove service centre collected Rs.200 on 30.08 2011, however tephone numbers mentioned in the card[protected]/[protected] always find not responding and recetly it gives mssage that check the number you have dial. receipt no.BH 117.Since date of payment no person turn up for service. Please let us know the correct telephone numberds so the we can contact them.

                                    I HAVE BOOKED A CONNECTION ON THE 8 TH OF SEPT 2011 AND I WAS TOLD THAT I WILL GET A CALL FRM MAHANGAR GAS BY THE END OF OCT 2011 BUT WHICH DID NOT HAPPEN , HENCE WHEN I CALLED UP ON THE 2ND OF NOV TO ENQUIRE I WAS TOLD CALL UP ON FRIDAY THAT IS ON THE 4 TH OF NOV WHEN I CALLED UP AGAIN I WAS TOLD THAT BY THE END OF NOV U WILL GET A CONNECTION AND CALL UP AT THAT TIME , NOW MY QUESTION IS DOES IT TAKE SO LONG TO ANSWER THE CUSTOMERS ISSUES WHEN THE PIPELINE IS ALREADY INSTALLED IN OUR BUILDING IN MIRA ROAD WHERE I STAY EVEN THEN I AM BEING TOLD THAT CALL UP NEXT TIME AND AGAIN WHN THE CONNECTION IS GIVEN IT WILL TAKE ANOTHER 3 MONTHS FOR THE GAS TO START WORKING AT OUR PLACE WHICH MEANS IN OOUR COUNTRY TO GET A LINE TAKES MORE THEN 6 MONTHS EVEN THOUGH WHEN THE LINE IS AVAILABLE , NOW WHY IS THIS HAPPENING AND IS THERE ANYONE WHO CAN HELP ME OUT OR WHERE SHOULD I LAUNCH A COMPLAINT AGAINST MAHANAGAR GAS FOR HARRASSING A CUSTOMER FOR NO REASON ,

                                    I have booked a pipe gas line for my flat in kandivli on6th Feb, i was told it will take 3 months, Now 3 months are over and still noone has approached me for the same, whenever we call the call center, they say that they will contact, but god know when, my BP number also has been generated [protected]
                                    I have applied for new connection in Ram Nagar, Apte Wadi, Shirgaon, Badlapur (e) now a days connection are started and work is complited now at present gas is passing out side the kitchen area but not connection are given in side the kitchen since last three months please inform how much time it will take ?
