Maharashtra Traffic Police — Challan charged by Traffic police for not wearing helmet

I was charged Rs.500, for not wearing helmet. From several months i have been driving without helmet, why suddenly today 6th may 2023, i was charged? I was asked to pay 500, i want to know, how suddenly that traffic officer Megha Dixit got alert and fined me.
