Maharashtra Traffic Police — False traffic violation case on karnataka state vehicle which never crossed state borders

Hi Sir,
I am Pavan and my vehicle number is ka34p0136, i am based at Ballari, Karnataka.
My vehicle has never crossed Ballari district. but received a notice on my mobile ph [protected], stating a over speeding case by DHANANJAY
JADHAV (PI) Pandharpur R PS. at Pandharpur.
i do not understand, for a vehicle based at Ballari how can a over speeding complaint be raised by Pandharpur R PS.
