Grievance Letter
Gentleman, Jammu,
18/10/2021
With deep anguish I would like to express my resentment and dissatisfaction towards your marketing strategy in pretext of sale of Bolero Neo N(10).
I've been a Maruti Suzuki customer since two decades but in view of your recent launch of Bolero Neo (N10) I was amazed the way you launched TUV 300 in a new style. I was impressed by the vehicle's price and its features as explained by the dealer representative based in Jammu, J&K (Astro India Automobile Pvt Ltd). Finally, I got Bolero Neo (N10) booked on 26/08/2021 vide Order Taking Form No. 9500.
I was committed that I shall be delivered the vehicle within 45 days of waiting period. I was also apprised about the exchange offer of Rs.15000/- and corporate discount of Rs.4000/- as festive offer announced by your company during the time of booking. Disappointingly, instead of getting the vehicle on time I was told by the dealer that the company has hiked the price of the vehicle by Rs. 30000/- last month and there was no offer available for the customers. I literally felt cheated and betrayed . If there were no delivery of vehicles on time how could company announce festive offers? This is beyond my imagination. Astonishingly, today ie on 18/10/21 when I went to the dealer to enquire about my vehicle’s delivery, I was told that delivery of the vehicles have been stalled due to the shortages of semi conductors besides the company has cut down the features and introduced low spec Kenwood touch screen with non availability of other alerts and features in N10 variant. Now, this came like a thunderbolt out of nowhere!
As a customer, this was not at all expected from a company like Mahindra. This will surely send a wrong message in the new market which may lead to cancellation of orders. I’m sure you would have witnessed the same or received grievance letters from your customers by now. This would also impact the post launch sale of your XUV 700. I have been forced to think over my purchase decision and that is the reason I thought to pen down a few words to apprise you about the customer dissatisfaction which has triggered in respect to N10 variant. My first hand experience with Mahindra has not has not augured well as a customer, frankly speaking!
But I still have a faith in Mahindra which enjoys a class reputation. Could you please deliver me the N10 variant with the same features which was explained to me inside the showroom by the dealer’s representative by the end of this month? Or should I convert my booking for N10 (O) which has been equipped with MTT/MLD technology and 7 inches infotainment and other alert features? In this case, you have to deliver me the N10 (O) variant by 15th of November 2021.
Please revert back by tomorrow so that I could take my purchase decision accordingly.
Regards
Uma Jamwal
