Ref: mahindra xuv 500 w8 Eng: hjc4e28625 Ch : c6e85893 I am a regular user of mahindra vehicles from the era of "international jeep". When the vehicle "scorpio" introduced i had purchased and thereafter the new xuv500 and lately in the 2017 a "thar". At present i own three mahindra vehicles including the xuv500 and with utmost pain and injury i am forced to write this mail. My xuv500 was bought in the year 2012 and from the day, if i had to repair or service i never approached other stations except the authorized service centers Of mahindra run by tvs (Both eranakulam and kottayam). Now the vehicle run more than 1, 20, 000 kilometers meantime i had taken the extended warranty till time permitted. My last service that too s paid service was done on[protected] at 1, 16, 284 of kilometers. While so the said vehicle had given to tvs kottayam near to matha hospital thellakom on 12 dec 2018 for the replacement of headlamp, rr window winder, parking sensor and updation of gps. The service adviser was mr. Robin poulose to whom i had narrated the work. On[protected] he rang up to me and said headlight set is not yet reached and sought time until[protected]. Further to that he told me that the battery is down hence asked me to purchase a new battery. So i went to collect the vehicle on[protected] with a new battery. After fixing the new battery the vehicle is started, but surprisingly and unfortunately i noticed unusual black smoke and sound from the engine Further, the engine has lost its acceleration too. Since the vehicle was not in running condition, i could't take that and i really shocked seeing my vehicle in such a damaged condition. I was not given the vehicle for any engine repair or oil transmission but for the replacement headlamp winder etc. Now they say engine need overhauling, change turbo and timing chain. That cost was intimated as estimated by them ad rs. 1, 80, 000 and above. The vehicle damaged only due to their miss handling and for that i have to pay such a huge amount it seems. Its a clear case of deficiency in service, irresponsibility and mischief. I invite your immediate attention to the matter as it is very serious. I have all the records of service and bills etc. With me to prove periodical and prompt services and thus evidence the present issue took place only due to mishandling of vehicle by the service center, I am not in a position to take the vehicle by paying the cost as they demand and for which i am not liable to. Now the immediate attention is warranted and the vehicle shall be repaired up to my satisfaction at your cost within 7 days of this mail failing which i shall be forced to approach appropriate authority for its reddressal.
