Availed MMT package trip to Australia from 25th April to 9th May. Our credit card copy was taken by hotel for deduction of 1 Aus $ as refundable deposit which had been similar practice in other hotels in australia and we never had any problems.On our return we found that an amount of Rs. 11, 163.45 on 9th May (early morning we departed to India) and Rs.3, 013.51 on 10th May were deducted from our credit card with out any intimation or authorisation by the hotel. The next day itself raised this issue with Kammanahalli branch in bangalore who organised our tour. We were assured that that matter would be resolved immediately and no action whatsoever was taken by the branch and they stopped responding to our calls. The issue was later taken up with customer care by submitting all the relevant documents including credit card statement and the first complaint was initiated on 30th May. From that day onwards the customer care has been repeatedly asking us to provide booking ID and the same was not mentioned anywhere even in payment voucher given to us. Mail was sent to them in this regard to get all the requisite details from branch where all the transactions and correspondence originated. With out questioning the branch they kept sending mail about their inability to act with out ID. How does a customer can produce a booking number with out getting one in the first place and no sign of it on any of the documents which I had already forwarded to them. I suspect strongly some thing is seriously wrong as now I am unable to escalate my complaint beyond level 2 (probably blocked with out updating) on their site but the actual fact is I had escalated to level 3 already for which I have all the proof. Probably this is an attempt to prevent me from reaching last management level.So many mails have been sent till date and the last one even warning them of dire consequences being attached herewith. And incidentally till date they have not acknowledged/replied to my above mail. They almost stopped short of saying that all the documents I had sent until now have got no sanctity for MMT in other words all fake and there was never any transaction with them. Till date they neither replied to my queries nor responded to my issues except gaining time and fooling around with us instead of resolving our genuine concern. I am ready to forward all my communications with them from day one if required so that all will know what kind of organisation they are dealing with. My first complaint to the branch was on 11th May over telephone and its almost more than 40 days with out any action. If the tour operator had contacted first their branch for all the details and then the concerned hotel the issue would have been sorted out by now instead of wasting time and worst thing is they are tight lipped with out any feed back . I would be grateful if this issue of mine is taken up with MMT to enable me to get back my payment at the earliest. Thanks
