[Resolved]  MakeMyTrip — No reference of tickets 6 days after debiting money

After innumerable calls to makemytrip customer care (which stands always clogged with traffic), I find the site the last hope for revival of my lost / nearly-lost, money / hope of availing tickets.

5 days back I have booked an airticket (Hyderabad to Kolkatta) from their website, and leave alone the receipt of paper tickets, I am till date eagerly awaiting the receipt of PNR / other confirmation from their end.

I have never encountered such pathetic levels of service from any of the other service providers (yatra / cleartrip / direct airline sites).

The only promptness shown by their end was debiting money from my HDFC account, which happened too fast for the eyes to believe, but keeping a customer (after such incidents, obviously an one time customer) waiting without any reference / revert has made me think whether my very money would be recoverable now or not, leave alone the paper tickets.

I had made a reservation on 14th June 2008 for my friends who were to travel from Hyderabad to New Delhi on the 2nd August 2008 and a reservation were made accordingly and a confirmation was sent via an email and the required amount deducted from my credit card.

On 23rd June, (today) at 1812 Hrs I got a call from Tel No: [protected] stating that this call was from the airlines GoAir and the flight on which the 5 passengers were booked stands cancelled for reasons best known to the airlines and they will refund the money back to makemytrip.com from where I had made the booking today itself.

I called the office of makemytrip.com and spoke to a lady at 2031 Hrs on [protected] and enquired for my cancelled flight to which she said that she has checked/confirmed with the airlines and the flight stands cancelled.

I asked the lady to make 5 fresh bookings in Kingfisher Airlines for which I am ready to pay the remaining balance amount from the amount earlier paid, the lady refused to book fresh tickets despite my repeated pleas to her. in turn she said that I need to pay the company the entire amount for 5 tickets from HYD to DEL (approx Rs. 31500/-). th eearlier amount that I had paid will not be adjusted against the new booking.

An email was sent by me detailing the entire of sequence of events, but no professional responce was given by the company.

I wish India woke up to Customer satisfaction sooner rather than later. Anyways I am going ahead with filing a legal case against the company in case I don't hear from them by EOD today.

Is there anyone else who has faced similar music at the hands of the company, if YES, please email me and we all can make a plea to the concerned authorities.
i booked Air ticket for 3 from Delhi to Pune dt 24th May 2010 Kingfisher Red from your web site by making payment through HDFC Net Banking. When i confirmed payment some error came and i wasn't directed to your website . I still haven't received my booking ID or e ticket on my registered email ID but when i checked my account money has already been debited.
Do the needful at your earliest.
