We had made several bookings from 29th Jan until Jan 4th in hotel EurAsia, Jaipur through MMT.
On the 28th Jan, we visited EurAsia and did not like the rooms on seeing them. We found them smaller, with not enough sunlight and very small bathrooms with a leak (looked very different from what was advertised). It was also a bit away from the main road in a residential area with gates.
We informed the hotel manager who advised us to keep the booking for the 29th (also suggested us to upgrade the room category) but noted cancellation of the other 2 rooms starting on the 30th. He also suggested us to cancel the 2 rooms online. We upgraded one of the rooms on the spot but we were unable to cancel the booking online as it showed nonrefundable cancellations.
Hotel knew from the 28th that we will not have any guests in the other 2 rooms.
MMT and hotel now says that they will refund 0 amount as the hotel had held 2 rooms for us for the 2 days.
This looks like a scam, unfair and unethical. MMT who is the platform provider should take ownership of this and not simply reply that the hotel is refusing and the hotel should also return the money for which no services have been availed. Was this information helpful? |
