[Resolved]  MakeMyTrip India — Booking denied

I had booked two rooms at makemytrip (Mmt) for my trip to hongkong for 22nd and 23rd april. The booking id for the two rooms are nh[protected] and nh[protected]. The name of teh hotel is cosmo hotel. I had made the booking well in advance and paid the amount in full with confirmation recieved from makemytrip.

Makemytrip proudly boasts in it's booking confirmation that once the booking has been made and payment recieved the customer need not confirm the booking again either by calling the hotel or makemytrip. However when i reached the hotel in hongkong the hotel staff told me that they can't allow me to check-in because makemytrip hasn't made the payment to the hotel.
This is the case when i had made the booking well in time about 2-3 weeks ago. I made my first call to mmt around 6:15 am ist, but what happened after that is absolutely pathetic. The customer care asked me to be on hold and didn't turn up for about half an hour and this was the case everytime i called them.

The worst part is that i made them my first call at around 6:15 am ist but they resolved the matter around 1:15 pm ist. From 6:15 to 1:15 i kept on calling them again and again but the customer service couldn't provide a solution. I even wrote them a mail but they couldn't resolve my problem either. The complaint id mmt gave me was[protected].

Then after waiting at the hotel reception in hongkong for about two hours the hotel asked me to pay 400 usd as a security deposit because mmt did not make them the payment and this is the case when the hotel again and again reminded mmt to make the payment.

My trip is a business trip and i had prebooked my entire trip well in time. As a result of this i wasn't carrying much cash but when the hotel asked me to pay the security deposit in cash i had to literally arrange for the cash from my sources there which landed me in a embarassing situation. Also i had to attend hktdc business fair starting at 9:30 am hongkong time. Because of this entire incident i had to miss out on my precious meeting in hongkong fair.
Also i spent a lot on making special number calls to mmt customer service care where they asked me to be on hold for as long as 25-30 mins.

I have missed out a key aspect of my business trip due to this entire incident. Also mmt is making false claims to customers that they need not confirm their booking once they've made the boking and paid the due amount.

I demand compesation and i'll repeat again that i demand compensation. I had to face a lot embarassment in front of my other business colleagues due to this entire incident. The loss of my precious time and also the meeting missed has costed a lot in monetary terms. The calls i made to the customer care would have only costed me enough because all the calls were paid on special numbers. I demand full compensation of inr 1.25 lacs from mmt.

As per our telephonic conversation with Franklin they have charged payment from our card and you can take you cash payment back from them as your stay payment is cleared.
