I had reserved a hotel in Sagar (Madhya Pradesh) for the night of November 25, 2022 using the Make My Trip app. Once I reached the destination, I was told by hotel staff that there was no vacant room available in the hotel. I asked them to cancel my booking from their end, but they denied that. Then I called the Make My Trip customer care number (which they finally picked up after multiple calls) and asked them to cancel my booking from their end (I couldn't cancel because it was non-refundable if I had cancelled from my end); they also didn’t cancel, nor did they refund the amount. Ultimately, I, along with my family, went through all this turmoil and ultimately had to book another hotel in Sagar. This incident caused not only financial loss but also mental harassment for me and my family.
