[Resolved] MakeMyTrip India — Denied refund of money at the time of booking cancellation | |||||
Makemytrip india ecommerce portal is now declining in customer compliance on a sharpest rate and through a nexus with few unreliable hotels, fraudlent in nature it started exploiting its old valued customers in worst possible way. Never go with advanced booking as your chance of refund is virtually zero incase of booking cancellation on or one day prior to your scheduled arrival. I myself has witnessed such a bad practice last month against a Makemytrip ref ID[protected] and apparently lost a considerable amount only because i opted for advance booking despite of clearly mentioning in their portal of free cancellation till the day of check in. There are countless exchanges of mails and communications post this issue raise, but everytime ended with their robotic irritating reply ended with an apologize that we are sorry, refund cant be possible. What I personally experienced, instead of listening and understanding customer grave inconvenience, they keep supporting and cooperating their hotel partners wrongfully and discriminately towards pressurised the client for closure.. I was used to be a customer of MMT and i frequently travels, always go with advanced booking option. I have all documented records o[censored]pdates that i used to share with them from time to time and even voice recordings of their customer care executives suggesions. I strongly suggest, avoid this application and still if you most, then you must go with pay at hotel instead advance booking. You can contact me for more details if necessitate undersign. We are sorry to read about the issue, In reference to your complaint regarding the full refund for your hotel booking. Please note that as we have checked with hotelier that roads were open on that day and there was small snowfall in Kufri and when you spoke to hotelier then they informed you 3-4 ways to reach at the hotel but in night by approx 8 p.m. you informed that you are not coming to hotel due to which they considered as NO-SHOW. Hence we regret that no refund can be possible for booking, how ever as a good will gesture we offer you future travel voucher worth of INR 1000/-.
