Let me share the worst experience which i had with makemytrip.
I had booked 2 packages for thailand through makemytrip the booking id for the same was in1601b8s218873 and in1601b8s218933. I received all the service confirmation vouchers, hotel booking vouchers and air tickets. The bookings were made by mr. Iftekhar alam.
Upon boarding the plane, we noticed that the food mentioned in our preference was vegetarian food. No one from makemytrip even cared to ask us our preference. That was the first strike which we got.
We reached bangkok, done with the visa process and called the travel agent who was supposed to pick us up from the airport and drop to the hotel. The representative of the travel agent informed us that our services were cancelled. That was the second blow given to us. We called all the numbers mentioned in the service voucher, most of them were not in use, and other were uncooperative. The only information which we could after landing at the airport the services are cancelled and we should call makemytrip. The makemytrip travel agent was unsupportive (Khun pair). She just informed that the services were cancelled and didn’t even give us the local contact numbers. She was rude, arrogant and highly uncooperative. She was not ready to share any other information or any solution for our situation.
We then started calling india (Isd) but the numbers that makemytrip gives for ground support are unable to be contacted internationally. Basically when you are travelling internationally you won’t get any support from makemytrip ground staff and the booking staff won’t know anything what is happening. Somehow i manage to get in touch with the team lead of mr. Iftekhar alam. He was very sweet and he just used to say that the ground staff will get in touch with us. He was not of any help to us.
We approximately called them around 25 time but all was waste of time and money (Isd calling). Hence, we decided to go to pattaya on our own as there was no clarity what would happen. We took a private vehicle and went to pattaya and checked into the hotel.
We repeatedly followup but without any reply from makemytrip. After 2 days mr. Tyron irani contacted and apologies.
This was the most pathetic experience we have. We were in between nowhere by booking with makemytrip.
