I had made a reservation (NH[protected]) for a Hotel for a stay starting October 20th 2023, more than a month in advance. After traveling 30 hours on a plane, when I was trying to check in to the hotel, I was informed that this reservation had been canceled way back and MakeMytrip was informed.
MMT never cared to inform me. I tried to reach out to MMT in the middle of the night, and let me say it is not easy to reach out to their customer service. I was falsely assured by a certain Mr Vikki (DO NOT TRUST HIM), that the issue will be resolved by the morning and I should simply give my card to pre-authorize the room.
As the night turned to day, no response came from Mr Vikki or anyone from MMT. I tried reaching out to them many times as our one day reservation was coming to an end. Again I was assured that Mr Vikki will call in 20-30 minutes, but that call never came.
I posted this on Twitter and I got another assurance that this will be resolved in 72 hours. It has been 144 hours since the incident, there has been no resolution. I had to re-book the room at rack rates. MMT has not bothered to ask about it.
My suggestion is not to trust MMT and especially their customer care.
They have no clue about what they are doing. My original booking amount has also not been returned yet despite 6 days of fully knowing that the reservation was canceled.
I used to be MMT Black member but this whole experience has left me jarred at the abysmal state of customer care such an organisation has. Was this information helpful? |
