I had booked a family vacation package to kashmir with makemytrip - booking id is : in1601b8s270362 - from 14th may to 21st may 2016.
I faced following issues.
1. First day pick up - 0n 14th may 2016, from katra railway staton was not done as per the itinerary. I was left stranded in the katra railway station with family and i had to take my own cab to check-in to hotel and thereafter to get dropped at the helipad for the vaishnodevi darshan. I tried reaching tollfree and all numbers that was available with me, not able to reach anyone and response was poor. I lost around rs.1000 for this, more than money it is the agony and waste of time where the entire family had to skip lunch to catch the helicopter on time for darshan due to this.
2. Last day of travel the itinerary given to me by mmt was as follows.
Spicejet
Sg - 127
Departure srinagar (Sxr) sat, 21 may 2016 14:15 hrs
Arrival delhi (Del) sat, 21 may 2016 17:10 hrs
But when i was trying to do web checkin for the same on 20th may evening, i found that this flight has been rescheduled (Delayed) by 1:50 minutes to 4:05 p. M ist, which was impacting my connecting flight from del-blr with indigo.
I tried contacting mmt again, no use at all, no proper response, so i contacted spice jet directly to see if i can take an earlier spicejet flight.
I then understood that spicejet had indicated via mail formally to mmt on 18th april itself on this flight getting rescheduled and mmt had goofed up not intimating me on this.
Spice jet asked rs38k for my rescheduling of the flight, and i was shocked on how to reach del next day.
I then had to book another fresh tickets with indigo and spend 20k more to align my flight from sxr-del to myt del-blr flight later in the day.
Then after 20 to 30 calls to mmt, i was able to connect up with one mr. August of flight booking dept, and he apologized for both the goofups and promised me cancellation of the spice jet flight and refund of whatever would be as per flight company rules on cancellation.
Till now i have not heard anything on if this si done and no response.
I want an immediate response/resolution on the following:
1. Why should i pay the extra 20k for booking new ticket, when the goo[censored]p was done my mmt and for no fault of mine...
2. I want complete refund of this 20k back along with the rs.1000 that i had to pay for the cab from katra railway station, which is again goo[censored]p of mmt.
There is no way on escalation mechanism/contacts wi nnt website for registering complaint and be rest assured of a response.
Hope this will be seen by mmt management and responded to.. With urgency.
I am pretty disappointed with service of mmt and will never recommend to anyone if my problem is not resolved properly.
