MakeMyTrip India — Query reference id[protected] amended voucher and cancellation of my hotel booking before 12pm today

Dear sir,

I, made a hotel booking through make my trip mobile app with booking id nh[protected].

I have amended my check in date from 14th of june 2016 to 19th of june 2016. The amendment was done by suprio halder, customer care executive of mmt. I also received the amended voucher for the same which i have forwarded along with this email.
Now i would like to cancel this booking as due to unexpected personal difficulties, i am unable to proceed with my stay on the date of booking.

In this regard i have been talking to at least three of your customer care executives from 16th of june 2016, including yourself.In spite of putting my call on hold for more than 30 minutes to check the details, i was not provided the support to do the cancellation which was the actual reason why i made the call to mmt.

1. My amended voucher clearly states that i can do the cancellation with full refund before 48 hrs of check in time.

2. The cancellation policy holds good for full refund till 48 hrs of the check in time, and as per the email it is before 12pm of 17th june 2016.

3. No where in the email, it is mentioned that i cannot cancel an amended booking or i was not told by the customer care executive who amended my booking date that such a rule exists. If any such a rule exists, either in my mmt app or in the amended email confirmation voucher i should have been informed.

4. You were saying its an auto generated email, but every email sent from mmt is auto generated after we book or amend it with clear instructions regarding booking details, payment and cancellation policy. We take the mail received as the confirmation.In my case then i believe i am eligible for free cancellation with full refund for my booking.

5. I believe as a customer of mmt, this email should be acknowledged understanding the genuine nature of the problem and give me the right to get a full refund for the cancellation and refunded to my wallet.

6. I have thoroughly read the cancellation policy in the email sent to me, also the cancellation policy in the website and no where there is any information to the customer stating that amended booking cannot be cancelled.In all means, and by abiding all the terms and conditions stated by mmt, i am eligible for full refund with free cancellation.
