dear sir Namaskar,

i have gone through your email and it reveals that you are taking lightly the high troubles which we have faced during our visit to gangtok trip and back. Kindly see this trip taking step 1 to last step and call all concerned persons who have arranged and then take decision not taking lightly so my humble request to kindly see/go through the following and then to take decision:

With kind regards I would like to bring in your light that giving a compensation of mere 2000 rs doesn't fix the trouble and inconvenience caused to us for those 7 days. I hope you realise that it was our trust in Make My Trip's plan that broke.
Firstly, the driver we had for first day was not at all professional with us. First, he made us do a phone recharge of 300 for his number [protected] which he never returned. He intentionally or whatsoever made us miss the important spots as he didn't inform us about the timings. Also the vehicle was in bad condition and it was puncture which wasted our 3 hours at Baba Harbhajan Temple and we missed important spot, i e., Tongmo lake. The Changu or Tsongmo lake was supposed to be visited before Nathula Pass. See, we were new to the city and all we had was the guidance your people provided us. If that also is wrong then how are we supposed to trust you with our next one.

Secondly, the hotels at Lachen and Lachung were below average.

- Food Quality at Lachen : As I have already mentioned in my email earlier, the hotel provided in Lachen was okayish( with a budget of 1.5 lakhs, this was not what we expected) but the food was not good. They provided us packed Bread and Jam with expiry date biscuits for breakfast because of which we faced food poisoning on our trip. We got in touch with our fellow tourists from other hotels and they had decent quality of food which was very fulfilling.

- Hotel and Food in Lachung : I can't even imagine that we paid for such bad service and experience at Lachung. First of all, if you guys know that you are providing us a hotel which is 3 kms outside the city with no food and amenities available upto 5 kms, it is your responsibility to arrange atleast basic facilities for food when we are reaching at lunch hours at 2 pm. The hotel refused to provide us food saying they do not have it prepared as we didn't inform them earlier. Seriously? You guys didn't think of it or what that as humans we would need good food atleast to survive. We were down with food poisoning because of so called bread jam and expired biscuits and all we were provided with was nothing at the hotel. It was so hard for us to arrange food that day. Now, that we were waiting for a decent dinner, we were provided with Gujarati cuisine which was again pathetic. What is the point of booking beforehand if we had to arrange our food and spend thousand on that again after giving you lakhs. The hotel was so below average that we were the only family/people staying there.

- No sightseeing in Gangtok : As per the plan we were to reach Gangtok on day 6 at 1 pm and start our half day sightseeing after that. There was no information from anyone to us until 2:30 pm post which we ourselves took initiative to call your people out there to send someone for us. I don't know if you guys coordinate before sending people like us to trip or not or you all this that we are fools paying you lakhs just to stay in cheap hotels. I have already mentioned the ahole story about this in my previous email so won't repeat. First of all, not all sightseeing places were covered in the itenary ( only 5 places were, three being the same monasteries which eventually were closed when we visited them). Despite of telling the trip coordinator (Ritwika Mustuddi) multiple times to include more important and good places in the list, she didn't bother to do that and instead kept saying us to just ask the driver to include and he will on the spot ( mind you I have a recording for this statement ). I have learnt a lesson to not trust money makers like you anymore in my life because she didn't even bother to pick up our phone once during the whole trip. I would like you all to take a strict action against Ritwika Mustuddi, the so called trip coordinator who planned our trip and didn't pick the call even once during the whole trip. We had to pay extra 3000 for sightseeing to a different person so we could atleast see some of Gangtok before leaving. Had your coordinator informed us beforehand that there is no one he could arrange for making us visit the places which your people eventually planned for in the so called itenary, we would have may be paid extra so we could see them ateast. The driver arrived at around 4:45 pm to make us visit the places which close by 5 pm and were 30 to 55 mins far from our point of contact. I have attached the photos of closed and locked monasteries and exhibitions. Please have a look.

- Reached airport late due to lack of information : Your coordinators, being local residents of the city, must be aware of the blockage happening in and around the city.According to your plan we were to leave for the airport at 10 am on day 7 for our flight at 4:30 pm. Still we took initiative and requested the driver to arrive by 8 am at max and we left for airport at 8 am. There was such a huge blockage that we just reached airport on time at 3:30 pm. We couldn't even have our planned lunch and so missed it. Your coordinators also didn't pay for the snacks we had at airport which they promised they would as we missed our lunch that day. We had to stay hungry during the flight which we catched by luck I would say.

P.S. - I would like to tell you that the facilities provided at Montis Soyang Hotel at Gangtok were really good and we have no complaints regarding that. I would give 4 stars for the service, ambience, rooms, food quality and everything else to that. That was the only blessing in disguise for us I would say.

So if you all think that giving a coupon of mere 2000 rs that too valid only when we book our next trip with you would work then with very polite words I would like to tell you that we are not interested atleast now to book any of our future trips with you after facing such a bad experience on our very first.

Please mind to give us a compensation of 80% to 100% for such a bad experience and horrible trip we had from 9th to 15th June 2022 else we are left with no other option but to go to consumer court with all the proofs we have.
