MakeMyTrip India — Refund issue#Sanj

TRIP ID - Kashmir + Ladakh Trip (ID NL[protected]
The trip was a total mess all thanks to make my trip on ground team, they could have averted the situation by taking pro active measures but looks like they never wanted to. What is the use of having such support system if they cannot take immediate action. I have detailed the problems faced which you can go through.

20 APRIL 2023
(PER PLAN ARRIVAL)
INCIDENT
The avalanche took place on 16 APRIL 2023 and the road is closed since then, if this is the case why did not Meher informed us about this when we met him on first day i.e. 20 APRIL 2023.

22 APRIL 2023
(PER PLAN - Stay at hotel “THE MONTREAL” and Sight – Seeing)
INCIDENT -
Spoke to Meher and asked him if anything can be altered. The basic idea was to salvage the trip. But the only response I received was he will arrange a call with CS Team. Since they are on ground team, I was expecting a better response from them rather than directing to CS Team.

23 APRIL 2023
(PER PLAN - Checkout from “THE MONTREAL” and by road to “HOTEL RANGYUL KARGIL”)
INCIDENT -
No alternative was provided neither any help from so called on ground team.
Received CS call and was advised to bear my own expenses.
No help on transportation as well. In fact the assigned Driver IMTIYAZ claimed that everything is OK and was eager to pick us, had we trusted him we would have been in total mess. My point is if Meher etc knows about the blockage who is issuing commands for pickup?
Reported this to Meher / Pratik but the call went as through its not at all their problem with a simple and patent reply that “we understand and will arrange a call with CS Team”
In short I was on my own and had to bear all expenses.

24 APRIL 2023
INCIDENT -
Had already lost hope of any help and booked flight ticket to Mumbai

I have initiated word with Gaurav from CS team about refunds, while this is also taking time. There were few updates given to me and I cannot digest simply because I am expected to bear the brunt of mistakes from MMT Team. From whatever I have been told so far.


HOTEL RANGYUL 1 NIGHT STAY – I am given to understand that only 50% will be refunded, why so? When things were known to Meher why did he not action and cancel plus made us aware. Why should I be bearing this loss?

HOTEL ROYAL HOLIDAY HOTEL 3 NIGHT STAY – I am given to understand that only 2 nights will be refunded. Again when we cannot reach Ladakh why was this not actioned?

I am yet to hear about 3rd hotel and transportation refund which will be a bigger chunk. Is there a way you could expedite the matter?
