Unfortunately, MakeMyTrip has proven to be extremely unhelpful in this critical situation. My 65-year-old mother diligently contacted MakeMyTrip for guidance before booking her flight. They explicitly advised her that a transit visa would not be necessary, reassuring her that with a destination visa, she could proceed to book her ticket through the app, assuring her of a seamless and hassle-free experience. Relying on their advice, she booked the ticket for Rs 88, 834. However, just one day before her scheduled flight, we received an email from Lufthansa Airways stating that a transit visa is indeed required. Consequently, we urgently approached MakeMyTrip to change the booking in light of this visa requirement, which they had endorsed and was the basis for our flight choice. To our dismay, they have shown no willingness to assist us. This ordeal has not only resulted in a substantial financial loss but has also caused immense emotional distress, as my mother needs to travel to the UK for her own husband's funeral. The treatment we have received from MakeMyTrip has been nothing short of rude and abusive during our phone interactions. Was this information helpful? |
